Never stop learning Graeme, missed out on that fishing method when I fished but now I am thinking about coming back to coarse fishing would definitely add this to my methods. Great download, thanks for posting.
I’ve caught American Eel from the Ky river here in Ky., but they look similar to those you caught Graeme. Except these I caught were more brown colored. Oh and the American eel’s I caught were about the same size as those too!
Hi again Graeme, A Friday would not be complete without your upload. I have been struggling with health issues for a year now even though i'm only 55 and there are only 3 things that really perk me up and these are, TA Fishing, going out Sea fishing and my favourite comedian Billy Connolly. Your channel really is exceptional and i doubt anybody else could match you and what you do. Much respect to you for the huge amount of work this must take to maintain such a high standard on your channel. Always My Favourite, Stevie in Fife.
Thanks Steve, hope you pick up from the health issues. More films to come,I'm just on the "3 score years and 10" so am trying to have a week long celebration of films to mark the fact .I just need the property workload to slow so I can crank up the editing. Keep watching. weather down South looks grim so I can hopefully crack on a bit.
Caught my best brown trout casting into very similar spot, just after the drop off into the rapids, hiding behind a boulder where you could see it was calm, waiting for food to come over the drop.
Another great video Graeme, they always perk me up on a Friday night. We've had Sun today in Wales, so I'm patiently waiting for the Wye to fine down and the chub and Barbel to start feeding well. If the rain keeps away I think it will be great by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
Came to this later than usual as I went to do a reccy at my local pier after work. Off for a night session now.. even though your film was freshwater and at the height of summer it sure gets me fired up for a trip somewhere Regards Stuart from the frozen North.
@@TAFishing yes a relative of mine was second in a competition recently it was mainly whities ..he would have won but for a couple undersize which lost him the first prize by a couple of ounces. 👍
Sure , as you can alter the weight to suit the conditions. Either anchor it in front of a Salmon if you spot them visually, or let it bump around with a lighter weight so you cover more ground.
Taunton or Yeovil Graeme. look like river Tone again, anyway always a pleasure to watch and learn. glad Smith wasn't playing up today. Tight Lines buddy.
@@TAFishing It's such a lovely stretch and all the better when it's gin clear. Hopefully next year I'll see you down there. well done on the monster chub.
@@TAFishing are there none in the Avon any more? I used to love centrepin trotting with the aul waders, bait apron and old fashioned bait dropper than some nice bloke gave me just below the weir at Ringwood, I still have it somewhere!
Maybe its to do with leftover Corn rotting in the water if not eaten by fish ?? I don't know myself, maybe Fish & Game could shed some light on it,as there must be tons of sweetcorn thrown into UK waters over the year.
Correct..it was a new mic that Mike got one of the cameras,it was an absolute shocker..like having a rabid Hamster on your head !!...enormous,and totally directional.
Sorry you are incorrect, its brand new, never shown before. I held it in my files for when the weather is grim .You are probably getting mixed up with the one I made with Mike...
@@TAFishing Sorry Grahame i just ment "old" by the weather cause its certainly not 30 degrees and sun shining like that haha. Good idea tho pop keep up the good work.
Memories of an old fashioned day on the river. Absolute bliss Graham. Thankyou

What kind of reel is that? Looking for a shimano clam reel in that style for my carp setup
Hard to believe your 70 Graeme looking more like 57/58 must be good living eh lol 😁😎
Can use weight or float stops. Or another tiny swivel.
Great film as usual Graeme , i would like to ask would link legering do well with a worm bait fishing for salmon ?
Sure , as you can alter the weight to suit the conditions. Either anchor it in front of a Salmon if you spot them visually, or let it bump around with a lighter weight so you cover more ground.

They wont let us use corn in Massachusetts. I forget why. Something to do with the birds I think?.

How do you know that the fish is a he before it's came out of the water?
I call them all a "he"...just habit I guess.
You definitely don’t want a she fish,, mermaids take some landing... 😆
Love the old fashion sayings lol Man Alive lol not heard you mention Smith for a while ? lol
He's on half term and catching up on homework.
@@TAFishing Good reply made me laugh that did lol
Your fishing knowledge is unavailable Graeme, your a mind of information, thank you for sharing it with us all, many thanks .
No probs,if it help the beginners to latch into an extra fish or two its worth all the filming effort.
