Dear Master! I would like to ask you, when you apply one colour and then the other colour, do you apply something in between? Like a clear coat of varnish or something? Or do you just let it dry and apply the next colour?
I don´t see the point of adding clear coat layers inbetween the colored ones. On the other hand I guess there are so many ways to skin a cat, so by all means, experiment.

Because I suppose you still have to protect it with a coat of varnish at the end, and in this case it will be glossy. How to do it so that the final result is not high gloss? @@Antonio-01 Most players like the "glossy" look. However it is a difference between wet and glossy. After varnish has dried, it looks wet, so I sand it with a micro fine sand pad and then I "gloss it" with alcohol in a rag. Of course it depends on what varnish you use. Another idea is to use "Super Nikco" or something similar.

The colour of the pegbox is perhaps one of the most open selections of look in the whole violin. Taste is so different.
