One point you didn't touch on, that's potentially important:
End scene with Vala. While her eyes are all crazy like, you can hear void whispers. They stop at the same time her eyes return to normal. I don't think this is some corpus tech. I'm confident that was Wally and not Parvos.

The story of Parvos granums rise to glory is also interesting, he was just working out in the field with his family until one day he heard a sound, "the wisper", describing it as a language of desire, one he understood by instinct, i dont know about you but there is no way that staying in the sun for so long can make you hear voices that give good life advice on becoming rich...

It's definitely not just some Corpus tech that made her eyes like that. She didn't have glowing eyes in any of the other scenes you could see her. And you can hear a bunch of whispers when she held her eyes closed

Really great video as always. I do not think the voice difference can really be counted as evidence because Parvos changes his own voice in Deadlock Protocol. When you first arrive he sounds frail and weak and thankful. But when you get close his entire voice and demeanor changes. It seems to me that he was acting to get us closer so protea could scan us. When his voice goes back to normal it sounds very similar to his voice at the end of Call of The Tempestarii. But I do think something very fishy is going on with the man in the wall. He has been showing up more and more in recent story quests. And it is just a matter of time before what's truely going on is revealed.

    • @TheDsIEGE

Something you need to remember also is that the quest was made to be chronologically sound for people who are new to the game, you can get the railjack starter pack currently so you can do call of the tempestari relatively early. before the chains of harrow even. It's why you don't see any tenno, it's the same for the heart of deimos (which I have said before, is the reason I believe the heart is tied to warframe powers and not tenno operator powers, much like how kuva is focused on tenno powers, while operator powers can somehow nullify kuva to an extent.)
So if this is the man in the wall, it's a sealed man in the wall at the very least, maybe the granum void is where the man in the wall was sealed this whole time? With Parvos. He seemed quite mentally sound for someone who had not seen another "living" being for some time.

I was just thinking about something involving the eyes. When the Tenno displays these eyes, they have a different appearance based off of our alignment, Either dark, dull, or goldish. However, when we see other people show these eyes (ie Ballas and Vala) their eyes are somewhere between the dull and the goldish color. The color that displays for neutral or sun alignment. So why do we only see variation in the void eyes of our Tenno, and not other void touched?
Regardless great video, hope all is well.

I have a theory on Parvos: In his rise to power, wealth and creation of the corpus, he communed with a 'whisper'. This whisper led his ambitions and fueled him to go on. While at first, this might have been his subconscious self pushing him to go further, I believe that his exposure to the void (be it through space travel via void drives or otherwise) slowly allowed the man in the wall to creep in, and take control of a part of his psyche. Remember, at the end of the day Parvos is just... a normal dude, as far as warframe standards go. He is still vulnerable, or rather, more vulnerable, to the man in the wall than a being like say... a tenno, who was forged in the void and has developed a resistance to its maddening effects.
perhaps Parvos is in an internal struggle, on one end the honorable and industrious working-man who inspired people to take and earn their place, versus the caustic insanity caused by the void, which only those with a truly singular purpose or were forged in the void might be able to resist.

9:06 I think that's actually onboard the Tempestarii. Mainly because our warframe is knocked to the ground near Sevagoth's shadow just before Corpus units board the railjack and surround the shadow. So shadow fights them off for you and at the end of the song when it's all over, your warframe comes around among numerous Corpus corpses. And I'd explain the floating guys with laser eyes as being sent by Parvos to aid Vala as she apparently was collaborating with him on her mission against the Tempestarii. I don't remember Parvos leaving the Granum Void at the end of the Deadlock Protocol bur rather lingering behind when the tenno gains the power to leave the Granum Void, so I wouldn't be surprised if the man with the golden hand at the end of CoT is actually Granum. His voice sounds the same even though you showed him talking in two different moods on two different tones.

Hmm, i think the Temestari (possibly spelt wrong soz!) quest was supposed to be kinda confusiong and raise questions. I recons its supposed to highlight the fact that despite the tenno being the big shots and the ones in charge...all of our knowledge and abilities to act as a faction was in the lotus. But i also think she also served as a kind of void deterant.
If we assume the the man in the wall isnt the only void based entity then the Lotus could have been like a Gate Guard as sutch, one of the things she was doing was keeping the war at a halt.
forgive me if im wrong but after we team killed all the immortal smurfs why did the sentiants stop? Yes the orokin died but the 'Tenno Dogs' were still there...actually as i type this i think old Space mum hid us didnt she? Maybe they coulnd find us...
Back to space guard Mum though, with her gone things like the ghost ship and void storms now begin to run amok.
And if Granum really has been watching us then he knows that he cant just zap us away like some kids, he needs to fight freaky space magic with freaky space magic. Now with big Mumma going though her mid life crisis (i mean new outfit, attitude and is trying to re-live her youth...we should have done better on space mothers day guys) he can freely contact any void based peeps that fancy a deal.
As for resiurces, he was basically made into a god like being by the current corpus right? I know he likes good old fashioned hard work, but currrent corpus worship him...and every boss man needs desposable minions (even we have spectors)
I kind of hope that its not only 1 man in the wall kind of deal, otherwise its one bad guy that we know we most likley will never beat otherwise the game would technially have and end.
Also as a last minuet side note..i got here 44 seconds after the video came out! Fastset i have watched a video! Now i need sleep.

I think the colors in the background of the various places in the void are not relevant. Because the void was described as having many shifting colors. So the background color is probably only thematic and aesthetic. However I do agree that Parvos seems to have a strong connection to the void. Who knows maybe the ‘voice’ that initially guided him to found the corpus was the man in the wall or him developing some kind of void connection. And it allowed him to hold onto his sanity. But if that makes him a quasi tenno it raises another question. Could there be others who, while never being inside the void directly, have some kind of void connection. Kind of like radiation. The orokin made widespread use of the void and technology based off on its existence. Could it be that one of the things the entrati worry about is that people are still in the material world exposed to the void, and by extension the man in the wall?

Could also just be that DE isn't making anything out of it other than "we've got nothing so let the player base speculate with this". The quest was too short and felt like just an excuse to get a new warframe out. It could also be that unless her eyes were shown earlier in a cs prior to the final one we see, that if the Corpus do indeed implant tech into their bodies, her eyes could be light sensitive like in Pitch Black and that's why she was keeping them shut as much as possible. Her eyes remind me of Riddick's eyes.

Really hoping that the sisters we fight drop some little lore tidbits in their dialogues and not just be like the liches taunting. Not sure if you find this interesting but one of the descriptions for one of the Perrin sequence railjack crewmembers you can hire mentions that they were terrified of the stories of Parvos Granum. I guess some Corpus find Parvos to be more of a boogeyman.

Isn't is curious how the man in the wall uses eyes as a symbol of his control over people. Always a dark red-brown color. Yet Lotus only has that hue over her helmet in the New War memory scene. I would also like to bring up that Lotus is taking the shape of Margullis (spelled tht wrong srry). So shouldn't she be blind? Her eyes even in sentient form resemble the grey-blue hue of people completely blind. Yet she is called by her brother "she who can see into the void" Why does she even have that helmet in the first place? And why is the man in the wall always drawing us to it, clearly either by Natah herself or with the help of the helmet, Lotus has great power. Also is the only reason Lotus can't easily be influenced by the man in the wall, is because she is "blind"? Why can't we see Lotus' face when she is taken by Ballas but everytime she attacks us we can? I think Lotus did not go willingly or at the very least she has an overall plan cause she knows that it isn't the real Ballas. How did he get so disfigured from the Sacrifice quest, to the New War, what happened between then?

It could be either. I'm seeing tons of parallels and they could be doing it purposely, as it will provide a nice twist at some point that many people won't see coming but... it could also be that they just like using the same story beats over and over because they are getting dry creative wise. Just going to toss this out there, is it possible that the Man in the Wall appears to people as the person they trust most? What makes this one case different from previous interactions being it's literally the first time he has appeared to someone that trusts someone other than themselves for a change? Everyone else The Man in the Wall has appeared to has had *very* good reasons for not trusting anyone else after all.

    • @TheDsIEGE
      @TheDsIEGE  3 ปีที่แล้ว

That's what I think. I think he comes in whatever form he feels he can have the most effect. To the tenno and Albrecht he may have wanted to try to make them a bit uneasy as they were both very impressionable. For someone like the lotus... Appearing as say... Ballas might be a bit more useful.

@@TheDsIEGE That makes the most sense, unless of course he has limitations we aren't yet aware of. Such as only being able to take the specific forms limited by their having been touched by the Void, or if he is only able to eco what someone has said requiring him to use that specific form as though splicing bits of audio together. Or it could be dependent on his connection to the individual.

I feel more disconnected from your pov. My account (500 logins 2018 start) got jailed for 15 years because of antidiversity policies of my own. I since replayed the game and have chosen a fully white questline. I don't think my questline was (with all due honesty) at all grey, but I chose to appease the current timelines rules of Godliness. Acceptance of my failure to comply was the first step and adherence to the ideals of my overlords, as of current, DE is inevitable.
Interestingly I find myself, at least today, not seeing your truth as I did in the grey space of my first timeline. I feel I was clouded by the algorithms inherent bias to promote players to maximize their efforts and in my reset, it was more careful to see me as I am before suggesting I work hard or (god-forbid) grind.
The main point is, however, I now have a woman in the wall; she is kind of less scary and I'm not sure her eyes are as black/glassed as you have seen them from your entities.
tbh I now respect LGBTQIA+ a lot (less) if that was ever possible. They took away access to the trinkets and illusions I worked on for 2 years ±
I will never go back, they stole my child from me, all is dead to me that I loved.
Their mistakes will cost them a double portion
    The opinions; diversity; abominable
If you decide that the Black is too much find my light, my dude, find my light. I work as the blackest white searching for the whitest black tolerable.
In our grey sin I pray may we steal ourselves from the abyss.
