Other bands were bigger and more successful but Cinderella perfected the sound of the genre. Tom, lead singer, is a vastly underrated and overlooked songwriter. Interesting band to explore as they evolved their sound from album album delving into blues, country, folk etc while retaining their hard rock roots. Glad you enjoyed this song it is considered one of their best.
Long Cold Winter… one of their absolute best Albums. Number 1 Cinderella Fan here… I’m 63 . There isn’t a hair band or many I haven’t seen in Concert! They are always, in my top five. Tom is amazing. The Band, amazing! New here to your channel. You are very intuitive and have really great reactions. Keep them coming!
Back in my high school cruising days, Cinderella was a go-to. They do some of the best ballads ever. My favorites are "Don't know what you got (till its gone)", "Nobody's Fool", "Coming Home", and "Gypsy Road"
Love Cinderella. I saw them in Lexington, KY in like 87.In 8th grade so my friends mom was awesome and took us.They opened for Bon Jovi and about stole the show,so good live back in the day.
Saw them in concert in 1990. The lead singer came down from the top of the arena playing a white piano. His voice is one of the most powerful voices ive ever heard live. They are actually better live.
This is my absolute favorite Rock Band ! They just happened to have incredible hair like most bands back then did too. I love lots of bands from back then but these guys are still the best concerts I’ve ever seen. First time was such a surprise, opening for Bon Jovi. I think I saw one video of them during college before that but after that concert I was forever changed. Just Amazing…and seen them a few times since 🤩
We all had our favorite hair metal bands of that era. My favorite of the time was Warrant. Jani Lane was an incredible songwriter and front man. Unfortunately, he passed from alcohol poisoning. It's rumored he was sexually assaulted by a famous musician and his manager when he was new to Hollywood. He never got over it and drank. My favorite song of theirs is Stronger Now. I also love Heaven, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Sometimes She Cries, I Saw Red, Indian Giver and many more. I can only imagine the songs he could have written.
Welcome to you Brit. Happy New Year to you as well. You picked a great song to start the year. The first two albums by this band were outstanding but lack of airplay from MTV really hurt them
At the end of the video the two guys that the twins are running to are Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi. They discovered and/or helped Cinderella get a record deal. Those girls are in several videos representing the evil step sisters from the fairytale. I love your reaction videos!! And your bangs!!! 😊
Cinderella never got the success their talent warranted. The era required that they be marketed like a hair metal band, which they never really were. They just played awesome bluesy rock & roll.
As others mentioned, those two girls are the "evil stepsisters", and make their first appearance in Cinderella's first music video "Shake Me", and they also appear in Cinderella's rock ballad "Nobody's Fool". All great songs. There's an order to the videos... "Shake Me", "Somebody Save Me", and "Nobody's Fool" in that order. Highly recommend reacting to all of them when you can get to it. Also "Don't Know What You've Got (Till It's Gone)", another good ballad, but not part of the theme of the first three music videos.
Being a teenager when this band hit the air waves I then, as I do now, found them to be one of the more genuine rockbands of that era. The hair was a thing at the time but that kinda, sorta changed with the LCW album in 1988, as they also tuned down the more "glammy" image over all. Love them to bits even to this day and I play their albums on regular basis alongside 2 of my other big all time favourites of that era: Kix and Great White - mostly on vinyl, actually, and it's amazing that those lp's are still in such condition after all the hours they've been played and the fact that they've survived parties, a few years of dj'ing and of course the late nights of listening. Loved this reaction!
First time viewer of the channel. I love your energy when listening to the track. I saw Cinderella and AC/DC in 87’ and Tom Kiefer blew all of us away! Vastly under-rated frontman and songwriter. R.I.P. Jeff LaBar 🕊️
If this is "Cinderella ", so whom the 2 sisters might be? They appear in other music videos. Great band from Philadelphia. I've helped them setting up at a Rock club, back in 86.
Tom Keifer, singer, guitar, piano, songwriter was the star of Cinderella. Now Cinderella is without Tom Keifer, who went on to be a solo act after health reasons, and the 'Cinderella band' went on without him when he had throat surgery. I think that's what happened!!? Great band! RIP Jeff Labar, guitar.
"THis is SO 80s! Everything about the 80s is in this!" Jon Bon Jovi at the end.. "Who are they!?!" LOL That was awesome! yeah, he did look quite a bit different back then.
The lyric is..."I lost my job, they kicked me out on the streets..."🤘(not tree😂) Jon Bon Jovi had a hand in getting Cinderella a record deal. They even took them out on the road as a support act for their first major tour.
I’ve never looked up the lyrics but I always thought it sounded like he says “out of my tree” too. It’s a saying but it doesn’t really fit in with the lyrics so I wondered…
@wadstur8429 Yes, I saw them in the 80s in Wyoming opening for Bon Jovi - the whole city of Casper and probably the whole state was there and next day at the mall everybody was wearing a fan shirt. While I just came into town to visit my brother. But it was an added plus.
At the end, the two members from Bon Jovi were the famous lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, and his equally famous lead guitarist, Richie Sambora. I have always been in love with Richie!
'Out of my tree' is a euphemism for going crazy. Cinderella were the bomb - it was the 80's and they really did perfect the genre. Yes, that's Jon BonJovi - Jon discovered Cinderella playing the clubs in Philly & guested on a few songs from this record.
I hung with Jeff LaBarr everyday in Dennis Caruso’s music store in Upper Darby 81 to around 84. He’s a little older than me, so he was far ahead of me guitar wise. He taught me how to play in the style of Van Halen. Jeff was a great lead guitar player.
You had to watch the other videos from that album to get what the sisters were referencing. They are the evil step sisters from the Cinderella story. They were in the other two music videos from the band's first album. In Shake Me, the girl who basically plays a modern Cinderella in the videos ends up with the band.
One of the soundtracks of my life. I never imagined that some day in the future 80's Metal would be reviewed like some kind of amazing relic from ancient history . But this was our music. We didn't just play it. We lived it. ( Class of 1988)
When I change the lyrics to songs for fun, there are some standard changes that are always made. Save = Shave, Life = Wife, Cloud = Clown, and others. This is another song that is way more fun as Somebody Shave Me.
The 2 polka-dot girl's are step sister's too Cinderella. If you watch nobody's fool, you'll see the story and Cinderella getting into the limo with the band while the 2 polka-dot sister's are shocked
You have to have watched their other two videos "Shake Me" and "Nobody's Fool" to understand what those two women were about. And the ending is an inside joke because Jon Bon Jovi actually discovered Cinderella and convinced his Mercury A&R manager Derek Schulman to sign the band.
Those are NOT mullets. Now days younger people who were not around in the 70's and 80's incorrectly call any hair style that is longer in the back as a mullet, a true mullet was very short in the front and was obnoxiously long and straight in the back. This style was a poor man's mostly red neck haircut. See the Movie "Joe Dirt"
This was the first song of Cinderella I heard in 1987 and went right out and bought the Night songs cassette. Not a lot of CDs back in those days. Lol. Surreal or ironic for me being I’ve had cancer. Bought a big house. lost my spouse (not violence) and was laid off over a year, kicked outta my tree. Back to work again but over 30 years of listening to this song never thought it would be my life. Still love it though!
Watch Cinderella "Shake Me" and that video explains the twins! Lmao. Cinderella and Bon Jovi toured together. I saw their concert in Reunion Arena in Dallas, Tx. They both were awesome!!!!😮😊
My former brother-in-law got his butt kicked at a Cinderella concert. A fact he has never been able to live down. His story is, someone behind him shoved him into another guy as they were leaving the venue and violence ensued. The band's name, Cinderella, (not the most masculine moniker) was the stigma. I guess if he'd gotten whipped at a Stones or Motley Crew concert, he'd have been The Man. Personally, I never messed with him too much about it. After all, one of my favorite bands is the Goo Goo Dolls. Concerts were different back then (the 1980s and 1990s) security was pretty lax, there were open area in front of the stage in many venues (general admission with no reserved seating) so you could be right up close to the stage (an excellent opportunity to meet girls), and yes, drugs (mostly devil lettuce in our area) and alcohol were often present. This no doubt contributed to the aforementioned butt kicking. All that being said, I always liked Cinderella, and your reaction was great, as always. Bye.
The way Britt is mimicking the rhythm of this song makes me think there could be a successful R & B style cover of this song. Imagine if EnVogue covered Somebody Save Me by Cinderella back in the day?
Love your reactions! I've been watching since you first started. I saw you react to carrie underwood singing How Great Thou Art and never stopped watching. You are now so close to 200,000 subs and I'm so glad I got to see how you have evolved! Thanks for the laughs and a few tears! Happy New Year!
Cinderella, yessssss. Gurrrl you were having fun. Yes we had a hard time paying bills. We were 18 on our own, some of us. Yeah, that bill wasnt getting paid.
The band Bon Jovi discovered the band Cinderella and made them famous under their label. Cinderella toured with Bon Jovi during the high of 80's hair metal.
I looked for a comment like this before I mentioned it. Yes Bon Jovi did discover Cinderella. I'm 57 years old and grew up with 80's rock. I saw Bon Jovi with Cinderella opening up for them twice. Both groups were extremely fun to see together.
The twins are fans looking for the backstage action. They are a recurring character in a few more "Cinderella "videos. They are also playing the mean stepsisters just like Cinderella had. Tom Keifer is hard core. He is an awesome musician, singer and writer. Love this band.❤
The drummer is wearing a 95YNF t-shirt. That was the Tampa Bay rock radio station back then. Their logo was always upside down. The twins were in a bunch of the videos for this album. There's a whole story line involving them and their step-sister. It's a shame these guys weren't more successful. They really were one of the more talented groups from the 80s.
At the beginning, I seen two partial mullets. The two guys in the studio had long hair but the top wasn't puffy like a mullet, but close. That's all I seen.
I think you reacted to Shake Me by Cinderella The Twins are the Evil Step Sisters in the Disney Cinderella Movie. They also appear in the Cinderella song “Nobody’s Fool”.
This was a very underrated band. This was the third single released by Cinderella from their first album. Check out the first two which are also excellent songs. Shake Me and Nobody's Fool. Their second album produced 4 singles and these were Gypsy Road, Don't Know What You Got Til It's Gone,The Last Mile. and Coming Home. All four are well worth checking out. Their third album released 2 more singles that are also very good. The More Things Change and Shelter Me. Also on their forth album worth checking out is Hot and Bothered which was used in the Wayne's World movie.
Ciao friend I’m with cause my teens year were in the 80s was raised in Pasadena California and was lucky and blessed to watch live many heavy metal bands awesome times
For me this was a priceless reaction. From the mullets to Bon Jovi, Britt picked up. The twins are a theme in their vids. Not sure how you made it here, but we need more of it.
In the short time they were in the spotlight they sold over 15 million records which pretty much ended when the singer Tom Keifer started having problems with his voice. it started with a paralyzed left vocal cord which put them out for about 3 years. When they came back they recorded their forth album but by this time grunge metal was all the rage and they were almost forgotten. Tom's voice problems did not go away. His left vocal cord ruptured while they were trying to get back on their feet and this put them out a lot longer. These guys were fantastic in concert and their song writing and musicianship was second to non.
Unless you got to live the 80s, and go to all the concerts, you'll never understand !
We had a hell of a decade as teens in the 80s !
Well the band's that came in the later 80's didn't really have much time before rock n' roll was permanently banned.
Jon Bon Jovi got them signed.
Tom Keifer the lead singer is still killing it today even after 7 vocal cord surgeries.

Darn shame they didn't get huger than they were...Toms voice is a gift to the world.
I dunno.... They were pretty big. Who doesn't know of Cinderella. 🤷🏻♂️
This is my absolute favorite Rock Band ! They just happened to have incredible hair like most bands back then did too. I love lots of bands from back then but these guys are still the best concerts I’ve ever seen. First time was such a surprise, opening for Bon Jovi. You should do "Shelter Me" next. Cinderella was an underrated band.
Yeah. Shelter Me is my fav Cinderella song.
Agreed! Shelter Me should be next. Followed by 'The More Things Change'!
Yes!!!❤
Yes! My favorite
It's utterly pointless as she'll just constantly pause it again . She LOVES the sound of her own voice
The truth came out for him. That's very very sad. May he have found his peace.
Welcome to you Brit. Happy New Year to you as well. You picked a great song to start the year. The first two albums by this band were outstanding but lack of airplay from MTV really hurt them
I got to see Cinderella in three different decades and they are still one of the best Live Rock bands I ever saw and I've seen many..
Absolutely
Cinderella is my favorite band of all time

Glad to see a young woman who appreciates this kind of music.
God bless you/yours ...

Loved this reaction!
“Nobody’s fool.” Have you reacted? I was crazy about Tom as a young teen girl. 😍
First time viewer of the channel. I love your energy when listening to the track. I saw Cinderella and AC/DC in 87’ and Tom Kiefer blew all of us away! Vastly under-rated frontman and songwriter. R.I.P. Jeff LaBar 🕊️
You go girl! Cinderella kicks ass! Such a great band. Vibing on the rockin' 80s! :)
It took me a couple of Cinderella music videos to understand. The two girls represent Cinderella's stepsister's.😂
If this is "Cinderella ", so whom the 2 sisters might be? They appear in other music videos. Great band from Philadelphia. I've helped them setting up at a Rock club, back in 86.

"THis is SO 80s! Everything about the 80s is in this!"

"Who are they!?!"

"kicked me out of my dream" is the actual lyric
I saw Cinderella back in 87 i think long cold winter was just released they opened for AC DC to this day one of the best concerts ever seen
They dropped that keyboard player with a quickness.
I hung with Jeff LaBarr everyday in Dennis Caruso’s music store in Upper Darby 81 to around 84.
He’s a little older than me, so he was far ahead of me guitar wise.
He taught me how to play in the style of Van Halen.

Tom’s voice is just KILLER !!!!!!!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Glam Rock 1980 I met many of these bands and hung out when i was a DJ at ZROCK. "If Its To Loud Your TOO OLD"
One of the soundtracks of my life. I never imagined that some day in the future 80's Metal would be reviewed like some kind of amazing relic from ancient history . But this was our music. We didn't just play it. We lived it. ( Class of 1988)
The tree means house woman!!!

Hey Britt, congrats to 200K! The very best in '24.
Cinderella is my absolute FAVORITE band
Fire and ice is my favorite song of theirs
Cinderella was good. Underrated band.
You have to have watched their other two videos "Shake Me" and "Nobody's Fool" to understand what those two women were about. And the ending is an inside joke because Jon Bon Jovi actually discovered Cinderella and convinced his Mercury A&R manager Derek Schulman to sign the band.

Yes!!! BEST ROCK BAND EVER!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw Cinderella open for Bon Jovi on the Slippery when Wet tour. Great show!
That's when I saw them! Fayetteville Arkansas

If you just listen to the music and ignore the hair and costumes then you have the best true Rock Band of the 80’s here . These guys kick ass!!
"TWISTER SISTER"...I WANNA ROCK
Watch Cinderella "Shake Me" and that video explains the twins! Lmao. Cinderella and Bon Jovi toured together. I saw their concert in Reunion Arena in Dallas, Tx. They both were awesome!!!!😮😊
Sister you have no idea how f'n cool it was at times.
I saw Cinderella in '89, with Bullet Boys and Winger opening. It was a really great show, but I would have much more of an appreciation for it now.
Me too
We did this in a talent show in 86. I had only been playing guitar 6 months
That GROOVE!! BTW, love the bangs
The prancing twins with the polka dots were actually from another video of theirs called "Nobody's Fool." You should check that one out!!
You get it!
Regards,
A guy who was 20 years old when this came out
I don't know where some people have gotten lyrics from but he definitely says "out of my tree".
My favorite ❤️ from them is nobody’s fool . ✌️
One of the most underrated bands of the era. ❤️🤘

"Who Are They?"
That's Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Sambora from Bon Jovi
They're the one's that discovered Cinderella and got them their record deal

Cinderella, yessssss. Gurrrl you were having fun. Yes we had a hard time paying bills. We were 18 on our own, some of us. Yeah, that bill wasnt getting paid.
The two girls were in a lot of their videos. I think they represent the groupies that always followed the hair bands from city to city.
Great Band , Great Song 😏
Love Cinderella 💜
The band Bon Jovi discovered the band Cinderella and made them famous under their label. Cinderella toured with Bon Jovi during the high of 80's hair metal.
I looked for a comment like this before I mentioned it. Yes Bon Jovi did discover Cinderella. I'm 57 years old and grew up with 80's rock. I saw Bon Jovi with Cinderella opening up for them twice. Both groups were extremely fun to see together.
Bon Jovi discovered this band, back in the 80’s. And the rest is history…
The twins are fans looking for the backstage action. They are a recurring character in a few more "Cinderella "videos. They are also playing the mean stepsisters just like Cinderella had. Tom Keifer is hard core. He is an awesome musician, singer and writer. Love this band.❤
Don’t know what you got till it’s gone and gypsy road where two awsome songs from Cinderella
The twin chicks represented the rich Evil Step-sistets who bullied Cinderella, and we're a running standard in lots of videos.
If you liked this one you should hear cinderella push push, you will love it 😊
Is it just me or does she get more beautiful everyday. I love her observation do more morristte amon you look stunning😊
One of my all time favorite songs! I get you 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Cinderella one of the best from the 80's.
You should check out nobody's fool and shake me.
You won't be disappointed
They were soooooo good live
Those two woman are representing the over indulged step sisters from Cinderella.
Cinderella! Very underrated! Check out Night Songs,Nobody's Fool,Shake Me, Gypsy Road,Night Songs.Saw the in 88. Good times! Yes that was Bon Jovi!
I will keep those in mind, thanks!! "Shake me" reaction is already up on the channel!! :)
I've seen them quite a few times. They always rock
One of many big hair bands One of the better hair bands of the 80’s That was good You look like you was singing the song That was fire
Bad Seamstress Blues is one of my favorite, or anything from Long Cold Winter album
Mullets were business in the front and party in the back. These guys were all business. You could call them hair a hair band.
Nobody's fool is another great one by Cinderella
This is my favorite song of theirs! Great energy. Love your hair😊
Zero mullets. Just a lotta hair! 😂😂
Family Force Five..."Business up front- Party in the back!"
Bands name, CINDERELLA, two prancing twins are the evil stepsisters
This was a very underrated band. This was the third single released by Cinderella from their first album. Check out the first two which are also excellent songs. Shake Me and Nobody's Fool. 9:44 that was Bon Jovi.
Saw them open for Bob Jovi. Believe it was in 85. Drummer is wearing a 95YNF shirt in the beginning of the video. Tampa Bay rock station at the tin.
Ciao friend I’m with cause my teens year were in the 80s was raised in Pasadena California and was lucky and blessed to watch live many heavy metal bands awesome times
Bangs like really good on that great face👍🏻.
And Tom pulled awesome double duty on guitar and vocals. Such a unique voice.
Love the blues influence they have.
Cinderella was my 2nd concert it was a blast
For me this was a priceless reaction. From the mullets to Bon Jovi, Britt picked up. The twins are a theme in their vids. Not sure how you made it here, but we need more of it.
