I expected one of those poor or very shallow overviews, but you actually even explained the rotation pretty well. Great job, I'm missing some memes tho!
Hey! Great video and on point :D So I've been playing fury warrior from the start of wotlk classic and here are my tips/tricks and adjustments for u fellow warrs: -First things first, the talents: The one you showed is not bad at all, but hear me out: Enrage is not very good overral and it can override your death wish ruining your bursts so that 2 points must go to improved berserker rage since u are going to rage starve a lot more often than you'd think in early game content and a 20 rage boost is really good and it only has a 20s cd. -A lot of guides will tell you that you need to stack strenght gems, this is because late game gear will have a lot of crit and armor pen stat and you won't need crit gems but since its early game content it's a lot better to stack crit or armor pen gems. Also, don't forget about your hit/exp cap, if you don't have hit/exp cap then u should put hit/exp gems in your sockets ! -Don't use rend It's just waste of rage. -Side note on the multi target rotation: Always use bloodthirst because as i mentioned before, you are gonna starve for rage usually! -Just a little tip for cd's: don't macro your death wish into your "all cds" macro because remember it is also a 20% damage boost against you, so It's better to just press one more button then causing a headache to the healer. -Most classes will out dps you no matter how good you play in the early game, but don't be scared just play what is comfortable for you
Question. In the prepatch at level 70 is it better to get deep wounds first then getting titans grip at 75? Or go to titans grip first then work our way to deep wounds? Ive tested it on the ptr on target dummies and thats shown a huge difference in favor of deep wounds over titans grip. But that was only on a dummy. Interested to know your opinion.
I would love to give a definitive answer here, but if I did so it would be a shot in the dark at best. I can give you some info so you can better make the choice yourself. First if you are doing a deep wounds first build you better have some good 1h weapons (glaives for example) and next you have to decide what context you are using the build in. Sure, on a target dummy deep wounds will always get its max damage in, but if you are questing the mobs are going to die pretty fast, and some ticks of DW are wasted. I would base my choice on my weapons availability and what kind of content I am doing and what my expectations of that content are (e.g. Am I trying to hit 80 ASAP, Am I just crunching out some quests once a night?) If you plan on hitting 80ASAP and are in a dung cleave group, I would highly consider playing arms till 80. If you are just planning on hitting 80 w/e you get there, play whatever you thinks feels cooler. The 70-80 journey in wrath is not that long. Prob not the answer you wanted but I hope it helped.
@@doodanwow it absolutely helped and gav4 me new angles to consider it from. My available weapons arent as good as glaivee. 1 handers would be 2x Deagonstrike. The 2 handers for titans grip would be 2x trollbane (Zul Aman axe)
It seems weird in ability priority to use BT and Whirlwind over sunders if sunders arent up. Should prio 1 be get/maintain 5 sunders then do the rotation?
So without A LOT more logs and tools from live classic no one can be 100% sure, but it will more than likely be a personal dps loss to spend all your rage on 5 sunders with BT and WW being off CD. It might help your overall raid DPS if you stack the 5 sunders first tho, so its a call you are going to have to make depending on your raid group. Unless Classic is wildly different from private servers Fury warriors are going to be not the greatest in p1, so maybe if you plan on playing fury there you take the hit on your kind of so-so dps to sunder first, and by the time fury warriors pop-off (end of ToGC, into ICC) you have SO much more rage that getting your sunders up while pressing BT and WW is much easier anyway. So overall it might be a mute point. But as always things might change, I would sugest checking logs week one of wraith and see what top fury warriors are doing. Hope this clears things up a bit.
how did you charge wothout being in a stance first is that possible ? because i alwas swap the stances but i want to charge with no haste to not having to change into berserk stance.
At lvl 80 you will for sure have titan's grip and you want to use 2-handers. For the prepatch and early on it can be better to not get titan's grip and go deeper into the arms tree and just use 1-handers.
Prot all the way, even until you hit 80. We scale with stats and we start at the very bottom below almost every other spec. As a prot you'll deal at least 3 times the damage, up to like 5 times in AoE scenarios, even on 70 (before being properly geared).
Its a bit of a hard question to answer but the short answer is play what you enjoy unless your guild is going for server firsts or speed-runs then you are forced to follow the meta. Now as far as fury's power in raid goes if we use fan severs (like warmane) as a model fury is pretty weak until they start stacking a lot of armor pen then they become very strong. But remember people thought that warrior was going to be very weak in TBC classic as well, but it performed very well. If classic wraith follows what happens in private servers warrior mains will be starting as arms warriors in nax and then transitioning to fury later.
Rage early on can be kind of a pain and even the amount I am getting here is nothing when compared to an ICC geared fury warrior. Even with good play, you can still end up pretty rage starved. Just have to be smart about spending and pray for big hits.
In the real world you can't charge as a starter. That would mean you are literally the first one who attacks the boss. At the moment the tanks hitting the boss, you're automatically infight and won't be able to use charge. So it's better to stay in berserker stance. Use enrage>recklessness>deathwish und then intercept in that Order. Then use bloodthirst>whirlwind>bloodthirst. After the second BT you'll have a free GCD to use sunder armor. You can also go WW>BT>SA>SA and go for your normal rotation BT>WW>BT and use every free GCD for SA, heroic throw or rend. I wouldn't recommend using rend with low gear tho since it's a DMG loss cause of rage starving.
Ye I worded the reason why you can't charge a bit awkward. But we are both saying the same thing, if you charge, you die to the boss hitting you because you can't charge after the tank has pulled. Also I highly suggest not using intercetpt to close on the boss, its just a waste of rage most of the time. Instead you will use rocket boots to quickly close on the boss. I would disagree with your ordering of spells tho. I didn't get into it in the video because its a minor dps gain for a lot of work but the true best use of recklessness is to BT, AA, then use WW for the final crit-proc. Since WW counts as hitting with both weapons you can cheese out one more proc. Your order also completely forgets about slam procs. And when we get to ICC and you get your tier slam procs become an even bigger part of your game play. (This is also the time fury warriors are fully popped off).
You are definitely right about execute, it is really trash. But getting rend up has some inherent risks to it as well. When a fury warrior in wraith gets gear and full buffs you will often struggle to spend all the rage you generate, but switching to battle stance can often lead to not having rage for both BT and WW. Yes, with perfect play you are able to keep up rend and not have it impact your BT and WW at all, but if you even make a single small mistake it will undo all the gains you made (so basically its a high risk, medium reward play). Also remember that the value of rend is less in execute phase than it is at the start. Rend's value can also go down by not having a Feral druid, arms warrior, or bm hunter in the raid. (also as the warrior gets more armor pen rend's value also goes down as it doesn't well with armor pen, and all the other abilities do). In a real raid in later phase gear I often find that I can squeeze an execute in every 5 or so GCDs and the rage and gcd I spent on it was not going anywhere else (and yes rage spent on execute otherwise is not worth it unless the execute crits) , but being able to swap to battle stance to get rend up is much harder to pull off. But this being said all my opinions are only based off private server play and and my very spotty memory of OG wraith and everything is subject to either change or be better optimized by the community and I am very excited to see how it pans out in classic wraith!
@@doodanwow There is no risk to put up rend if you use the macro for it - and right after you would use blood rage and you can continue your normal damage rotation easily
Not with macros alone no. And doing anything "automatically" is generally skirting on the ToS. But you still have to press the keys yourself.
