great tutorial! I got these markers recently as I had heard good reviews of them, they are my first set of markers. I watched this video because I was unsure of how to use them correctly, and blend them, this video gave me everything I needed to know. thank you!
i just bought 4 sets of these pens for the misses and this video is awesome now im happy i got them her. having now shared this video on her facebook i know she gona love playing with them and keep her well busy and happy. amazing video
Beautiful. I’ll stick with Copic. There are more things to consider other than price or ink. The way it feels in your hand is also important. These look good, Copics look great! Thank you for sharing.
Extremely helpful. I'll be getting spectrum noir's for sure. I can't afford the markers with the brush tips, they're all like twice as much as spectrums.

Yes love ur video .I have a question . I paint strictly using acrylics But I saw a artist using watercolor pen to give her painting depth Can the Spectrum alcohol based be used instead of watercolor pens .Would it effect the acrylic paint or do damage to it ?

I'm in love with these markers but I'm having this problem with some of them that when taking the cap off, the whole grey part comes off too!! So I have to put it all back again!! Is this normal? Thank you for answering!!!!
Generally for markers, the thinner the paper the better, but it's best to use bleedproof paper, so you don't get a lot of bleeding outside your lines. The thicker the paper is the more ink it'll suck up and your markers will get used up faster.
Also, I noticed I forgot to mention, put scrap paper beneath your work, because it'll prevent the ink from spreading all over your desk and staining your art from below. Alcohol in will ALWAYS get through the paper so don't get stressed over that, I even had that happen with marker paper and it's fine. It's just a part of the process :)

You make it sound like it's some spectacular feature of your system, but it's just how alcohol based inks work in general. It's not unique to your markers.

I have the full set of Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens from Hobby Craft, they really are very easy to use and give great results.

You would need to use real watercolour pens, these are not watercolour pens. I believe Windsor and Newton do watercolour markers.

Mine does that too. Found it stays in place if you force it down with your fingernail.

yes it is, it scared me too XD the alcohol in the pens spread like water, ya know? XD
Tru using the xpress it blending card, that will stop the bleeding. Hope this helps :)
