Just answering a few questions... I don't think a street light will change your image - probably not strong enough. And it won't make a moving trail like the sun. But if you think it's a problem, relocate your camera, or better still add another camera in a new location without the street light then compare the images after a few months. Re paper inside the camera, for 1 day exposures or longer, usually it's black and white 5x7 printing paper, Ilford Mulitgrade or Kentmere Variable Contrast. But you can experiment with other papers, and see how they affect the image.
