  • Introducing the Original UpWalker, a revolutionary breakthrough in mobility.
    The UPWalker addresses the deficiencies of conventional walkers, including fall risk, slouching, and lack of user confidence and comfort. Traditional rollators can lead patients to experience painful pressure on the wrists and back, the UPWalker is designed to support patients in a secure upright position and improve gait efficiency during ambulation.
    Designed for stability and safety.
    Multiple models for best fit.
    These specialty versions of the UpWalker come with all the benefits and features of the standard UpWalker, but are designed for specific patient populations.
    The UpWalker Lite is ideal for those needing a lightweight, but safe upright posture walker to navigate in tight indoor spaces. Its 15.5lb light weight frame makes it easy to lift, store, and transport.
    The UpWalker Neuro is no longer in production.

    Just went to their website, saw lots of good information but could not find the cost, even when i hit the shop button. It does not matter how good the product is , if a consumer can't find out if they can afford it or not.

    I’m 58 and recently went to DC to see all the museums. I was surprised that my legs got tired after walking around all day. When I get older, I could get one of these to allow me to sit down while checking out museums. Actually, I’d need it to have small electric motors to scoot me along on flat floors. Not a big heavy scooter, something light and portable with only just enough power for flat floors.

    I’ve tried several upright walkers, and I’ve found the Upwalker superior in construction and overall build. Currently, I have the Upwalker Lite which is perfect for my living situation (small apartment). You forgot to mention the rear wheels of the regular Upwalker can also be released to pivot. In this life one gets what one pays for if one is lucky. While the Upwalker is more expensive than other upright walkers, you do get what you pay for. The Upwalkers do extend in height to actually fit the person’s height. The others are about an inch to two inches short in my experience. The seats are level to the ground. Another brand I had the seat was canted slightly, so stuff fell off. It’s a tiny issue, but in real life people put things on the seat while moving from one place to another. For example, I use the seat to carry a small (24 can) package of soda plus what ever else fits from my car to inside my apartment. I use an “S” hook on the bar behind each handle to carry plastic bags. (I purchased the “S” hooks at a well known hardware chain.) I find the Upwalker Lite to be very adaptable for daily living. I hang things off it to take with me. Headphones, for example. I’m 5’8” in height. As best I can tell, the Upwalker Lite will fit someone up to 5’9”.

    We had one but it was too big . When we wanted to send it back the fee was $189.00 plus a charge for UPS to pick it up and send it back. I found another smaller brand and not near the price. Donated first one !

    I’m very happy with my OasisSpace version that costs a fraction of what this does. The OS one doesn’t have everything that this does, but it’s all that I need.

    A posterior design would be so much more stable and safer with seat - no need to try to balance turning rollator around to sit; have a handy lever to raise/lower seat. And, make a dual rollator/transport option model.

    That price is ABSURD! These companies take such advantage of sick people. A regular walker costs about $100 new, a little more depending where you live. There's no way this is worth so much more. Absolutely disgusting.

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      For those of us who need such flexible mobility aids, the price is what we're willing to pay. Who are you to judge what others are willing to do? I can't use a traditional walker, nor does a Rollator do what I need it to do, and I'm willing to pay for an Upwalker so that my painfilled spine can be as vertical as possible.

    • @veronicathompson5844
      @veronicathompson5844 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Your right they just taken advantage if people who needs it. The cost of making it shouldn't cost more to make than others. A lot of people or on a fix income and can't afford it. They only want the well off people to benefit. Like everything else it's all about money not helping people's needs.

    • @CharlesShriner

      Well of course corporate companies are taking advantage of sick people! That’s what the “for profit” medical industry is all about; extracting as many resources from people as possible. Ahh the joys of capitalism 😢

      I assume that Sandlot Medical is a business. Businesses usually like to present themselves as somewhat professional. That means spelling things correctly in their advertising. Most professionals, when presented with a correction, respond with "Thanks, I'll fix it," rather than with an imitation of Paul Paulsen ("Picky picky.")

      They also did not spell the word "veteran" correctly in a caption near the beginning. Their spelling was "verteran". If it were MY business, I would have expected some editing of the piece prior to posting. Makes you wonder what other business practices are done incorrectly?

    These type rollators should be illegal. One can easily fly forward and crash face first into the ground.
