I met a Chinese guy a few years ago. After graduating from the uni, he spent 3 months traveling in Tibet, Xinjiang and Qinghai. He kept telling me how beautiful and fascinating it was over there and how that traveling experience was once in a lifetime for him. He even asked me to make a promise of visiting one day! LOL! After watching your video it suddenly reminds me of him..... Yes, I will definitely visit those provinces sometime soon, hopefully as soon as this pandemic is over!

What a brilliant way of touring/visiting places!
I like the part on pre-university examination bit as this is a feature vital to China but rarely anyone outside China could understand. When one visits a new place it is the bits that are unique to that place one should be interested in. You guys have delivered exactly that. This is 100 times better than touring with a guide because in the China the guides could be paid by factories and shops to take clients there. These guides make more money from the factories and shops than from the tourists. Thus your video is a gem to people like me interested in knowing the true China from overseas.
The information on other provinces donating buses and housing complex to support poverty alleviation in China is an eye opener. I started to appreciate why China could successfully pull so many out of poverty and your guys information that other provinces' contributions goes along way to explain it. I know in China the community spirit is highest in the world so everyone is keen to participate in combating a national problem. It really makes a lot of sense to me that a well off province or city (as Shenzhen is just a city) would give money and products to a poorer brother province like Xinjiang. This is a Chinese culture that the rest of the world would not understand. I have seen youtube videos reporting Chinese donated buses in the streets of Armenia and Syria too. The video shows only a few specimen of trees in Kashgar. This corroborates well with other Chinese videos that reported China managed to reforest the desert with vegetation only with a couple of specimen trees most tolerant to lack of water.
A truly uplifting video showing the deep end at the remotest part of China. Excellent work and again my compliment to the Mandarin speaker whose mother tongue isn't Chinese.
All the best wishes from UK.

@@iamcanadianedmonton I believe the number of younsters seeking for higher education in China has exceeded 1 million. Last year 2020 it was reported on record 90.03% got places in university, college or higher education establishment. Public examination is China is very competitive but I truly believe in recent years access to higher education also took off in China. The published record shows in percentage in bracket in recent years
      2019(79.53), 2019(81.13), 2017(74.46), 2016(75%).............2010(69%),2000(59%),1990(22%),1980(8%).
In China's 5000+ history the selection of people to hold office in government has always been by public examination from village, then town, region, city and provincial level. Thus only the cream of the Chinese best academically ending up serving the central government. This system is still retained today. The one party system works for China because most people are content with the best people are running the government. This doesn't mean they don't make mistakes but on the whole the people in central government are well respected. This is unlike the western democracy where the voters select one party to govern and has an opposition to take over once the government in power makes a few unpopular mistakes. Chinese people trust their government. With stability China can plan development decades ahead. When a target has been declared the whole country would rally behind it. That is why China can move the country much faster than the western big economies.
