It really depends on how far you put the range away from the line
It should be a fixed distance I think. Maybe the average range of all the ranged units?
It should be as far apart as possible
It is not fair if a unit is weak but have a very long range and they were put close to melee
I would say put them both as far as possible to account for the range of the unit and how it would be effective in battle. you wouldnt put a balista up close. the only range that could be either close or far is the da-vinchi tank because it can be used soley as ranged or as a boss and quickly annhilate the frontlines.
Actualy the crossbows have terrible range, they would probably have lost way earlier if Baron did not put them at their best range right from the start
@@roicandaule9268 Tested from long range: Artemis can shoot like half the Chu Ko Nu before they get in range if they are in a line. Artemis can just about win if they are bunched up in a blob, as then one salvo hits many units.

The problem with tournaments in tabs is that some units specifically counter other units. This will never be an accurate representation of each unit
Exactly. In my opinion, Chu ko nu is the best unit, but there is always going to be a counter for it, like shield units or deflect units.
Hence the name “totally accurate battle simulator”...

Custom Battle: *Battle of camden american revolution* British (Red team) *50 Muskets In Linar Formation, 4 Secret Cavalry Units, 4-5 Catapults as Cannons All In formation* *Americans (Blue Team) 85 Muskets In Linar Formation, 1 Catapult as cannon, In Formation* (Extra add a king on each side as a Commanding Officer) *(Also americans had more men in the actuall battle but british had cavalry and cannons* *This obviously isint perfect because its totally accurate*... *Like so baron can see!*

You gotta give the melee units some advantage when fighting ranged units. You changed the distances quite often
I don't think this will get old for awhile. You should do more of these - maybe every couple of weeks? How about some mixed squads next time, just for fun?
You spawned units very close together, btw - so several rounds were won based on AOE that easily could've gone the other way.
I think the fan bearer might've had an interesting run vs melee.

he is a pretty powerful unit, chu ko nu is bad against shielded units, while Ullr is good against them, if there was some shielded units in the tournament chu ko nu would lose to them and Ullr defeats them

I had a feeling the chu-ko-nu would win, they are heavily underpriced for how good they are. they basically make any other basic range fire pointless when you can have tons of them, only useable ones besides them would probably be like ullr and ice archers.
Finally a unit that I wanted to win won. Who doesn’t love machine gun bows?

When TABS gets fully released you should do a super tournament type thing where you have every unit fight every unit (except cheerleaders and healers), then give each unit a point per win, whoever has the most points wins.

One slight complaint in your methodology, you placed the units fairly far apart, giving a major advantage to ranged units.

Always remember number is more greater than strength its also the same reason why chu ko nu wins but if it is strategically speaking artemis can take them out(Because artemis have more ranged not so superior but more farther than chu ko nu have) Specially if the positioning was random not a whole line or salvo.

I am currently doing a tournament of all units except for healer, bard and cheerleader (because they do no damage) and mace spinner and fan bearer (because they are useless and I couldn't print a bracket big enough to hold them...) I will finish it tomorrow (hopefully) and comment on your next TABS video with the results
hey baron you should have a "whos the best melee unit" tornament and a "whos the best ranged unit" tornament
The Chu Ko Nu won because it's specialized in the alpha strike. They just killed the other units too quickly for them to retaliate. If they were put into a protracted battle, they wouldn't be nearly as powerful. But great video :D

The Chu Ko Nu is basically a full on automatic Anti-Unit when in numbers.

The problem with the top 4 or 3 is just that theyre way too expensive like goddamn artemis is 6.5k and also another problem is that theyre
not suited for fighting in a tournament like this and there would only be 1 artemis fighting like 15 chu ko nus and also the chu ko nu is just perfect for the winner of this tournament
1 shes extremely cheap
2 shes a ranged unit
3 she can shoot like 4 arrows everytime
4 she can move back
And she only has like 1 downside
which is a long reload
