Alex, 20% text rule is no longer required. The new recomendation is to set text in the viewable are of each format (avoiding that yellow margin lines) for best performance since text is overlayed with other text information if not applied. Oh, great contents by the way.

Ironically, copywriting was the last skill I acquired in marketing. Before, I had worked with paid traffic and lastly metrics analysis. So for me, it is ok to work with all this together. I like it, it gives a very broad vision.

Thank you for this Alex! Can you help clarify this for me: something that I'm still not sure on is BOLDING! This may not be 100% relevant to ads, but it sure heck is relevant to copy. How do I know which words, phrases, or sentences to bold? Your emails, blogs, and social media graphics do an excellent job. I'm just wondering what the "science" to bolding is? Thanks a mil. That's a great question and I don't really have a scientific answer for you. It's really just a judgement call.
Bolding grabs your attention. But too much bolding can feel a bit obnoxious and then it looses it effectiveness.
So what I love to do is wait until everything is all typed out and then go through it as a last step to read everything and pick out the KEY MESSAGE or main takeaways that I really want my audiences eye drawn to.

It says you need text, hook and stuff that everyone knows, but don’t say how to make good hooks
Ads like this only work if you have high margins. If you have slim margins, your ads can't scream "ad!" by having text layover and social proof logos. To get dirt cheap clicks on FB your ad needs to look native to the platform and generate a ton of engagement in the comment section.

YES GO FOR IT! Omg don't let A.I. scare you away. It can do some cool things when it comes to gathering research, summarizing, and cutting down on time.... but we absolutely still need humans who can write emotionally compelling copy.
