Nobody Shows You This Side of Kabul, Afghanistan! 🇦🇫

  • Walk through the busy streets of Kabul, Afghanistan with me.
I really didn’t know what to expect. The mainstream media and my Canadian government has painted Afghanistan as a deathtrap with zero chance of survival for tourists.
I’m not a huge fan of the evening news, and I don’t trust much of what they say. As a world traveller I’ve never in my life Googled “is a country safe…” because I know the answer will always be no in the eyes of an average tourist. Remember, I am not an average tourist.
Listen, I know Afghanistan has had a bad wrap for decades. Conflict after conflict, war after war. No question that a lot of bad stuff has occurred here. But it’s 2022 and i’m ready to give Afghanistan and the Taliban a chance. I will not be digging into the past, and I know my interaction with the Taliban will upset some viewers. I am only filming what I personally witness while being in Afghanistan. This is not my job, nor am I a journalist. Simply a man with a camera that loves to travel the globe.
Since it’s my first day in Kabul and I haven’t found a translator or fixer yet, I’ve decided to get lost on the streets and walk until I can’t feel my feet.
Today’s video is a 60 minute segment of my walk (Filmed: Sunday, October 16th, 2022). I hope you enjoy! Much more Afghanistan content coming very soon so subscribe if you are interested.
Lastly, add me on Instagram for the inside scoop: / chrismustlist
    Thanks!
    Chris

Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust?
Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that H e is perfect in justice - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or H***? The answer is h*** - the wrath of God upon you for your sin. Is that concerning?
But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us.
On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and H*** and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised.
When you place your trust in Jesus - the Lord and Saviour - these things will happen:
      1) God will forgive the sins that you have committed; they were paid for by Jesus at the cross.
      2) The perfect life that Jesus lived will be credited to you. He will find you holy and blameless on judgement day (and now), as Christ’s righteousness covers you.
      3) You receive a place in Christ’s kingdom as an adopted child of God. God becomes your Father. Eternal life isn’t just about living forever, but a personal relationship with God Himself. That life can start now; The Father will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him.
      4) God doesn’t just save you from the penalty of your sin (H***). He can save you from the power of sin itself. Whoever practices sin is a slave of sin; but when you repent and believe the gospel [WHICH HAS BEEN DESCRIBED] the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and sanctify you (working in you to further abandon sin and turn to the will of God). When the end of the age comes, and eternity begins, this work will be brought to completion as you are finally freed from the presence of sin.
Jesus offers to take away your sin and to give you His righteousness; you must receive it by faith. Choose this day if you will align with the world, or with Jesus and His kingdom - only His is eternal.
ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

Hi Chris, enjoyed watching your video; and thank you for promoting Afghanistan for tourism. As an Afghan Canadian, I must say that you'll find plenty of adventurous moments to capture and show it to the word. Afghanistan has authentic culture, amazing food; and hospitable people with diverse ethnicities and languages. I must say that City Centre is not a very attractive place to start your journey. Few suggestions for places and food to try while in Kabul. Places: Qargha Lake, Paghman Valley, Baghe Babar, Nader Khan Hill overlooking Kabul City, Sarobi district with amazing mountainous landscapes and walking around Shahre Naw, Karte 4 & 3; Makroryan areas. Food places to try offering authentic Afghan cuisines: Sharif Kabob in Shahre Naw, Shinwari Lamb Karahi in Shahre Naw, Chapli Kabob opposite to Vocational Insitute in Dehmazang area, Uzbeki Palaw in Turkmen Restaurant in Shahre Naw; and Afghan Burgers on street stalls.

A good dictatorship, or absolute monarchy even, can be way better than democracy. Less bullshit, so to speak. That’s rarely the case though... give absolute power to someone and there’s a really high chance that he or she will eventually go nuts. In the case of Afghanistan, well, no one has ever sat down and wonder what does the Afghan people REALLY want. They don’t want the Talibs, that’s for sure; but they also didn’t want the soviets nor the Americans, whom ended up installing a puppet government full of spineless rats. No one gave a fuck about the Afghans, and this is the result. Now they’re back under the control of a bunch of bearded dudes in sandals with the mentality of the Middle Ages.

Much different than Pakistan or other countries who have experienced less hardship. I think the majority of people are more curious and trying to analyze you rather than being rude or harsh. Either way, if you can, I would try to find a guide. Maybe reach out to Jay or his mom Emma who were there recently for some suggestions. My grandfather has a shrine there if you can go, not sure if it's still there in Kabul, I think. Been most of my life in the US. The shrine of Syed Ismail Balkhi. Thanks!

The guy told him a few of them were 200 from the start. These people's economy is in the trash, he doesn't need to be taking advantage of them.
Another thing, not everyone gets all giddy and excited over seeing a westerner. Some people are just living their lives and don't care either way. That's not rude on their part. And just like people everywhere, some people don't want to be recorded.

Plus it's always the person with a blurry filter photo and no videos that have the most to say negative about content creators. Sia Daanah means "black seed." People use it in food and recipes. It's also mentioned in Islamic Traditions that it has medicinal value.

Since Afghan people in Afghanistan don't really understand the value of US dollars, they'll assume that every family from the West will have access to millions of dollars.
