    Video Description:
“Kandahar is not safe for any tourists. It is the Taliban's Headquarter. Avoid visiting at any cost.” WikiTravel.org
I’ve never been the type to listen to main stream media, If I did listen I wouldn’t be here in Afghanistan.
I wanted to visit Kandahar myself, and see what it was really like to walk around and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found.
A clean city, with streets full of people and shops.
Never did I feel danger, nor did it even cross my mind. I was too busy getting to know this new country.
I would recommend experienced tourists to visit Kandahar with the proper permits only, and witness the surprising turn of events for yourself.
Follow me for a stroll through the city of Kandahar, Afghanistan on October 23 2022.

When all Pashtuns speak Persian because Persian is the majority language and the unifying language between different ethnic groups, then it follows that Persian Dari is the most useful language to communicate. Only Pashtun tribals who are from extreme distant areas don't speak Persian and they are less than a few percent.

With those glasses you would even stand out in London let alone Kandahar where 99% of the population don't even have the normal glasses.
And please change your interpreter as 90% of the interpretation was wrong. If you're going to Kandahar where 99% of the local population is pashto speaking at least take someone who can speak pashto.
Secondly your interpreter seems more out of touch with afghan traditions than you.
He doesn't know whats chakni made of or the naswar that he is holding is an indian made with all hindi writings on it and the shop keeper clearly told him this is from a foreign country. But the interpreter said it's exported from this shop overseas. He doesn't know Maswak if it's a tree branch or a root?
Also, shockingly he doesn't even know simia and when or how it's eaten or cooked.
Please get someone more knowledgeable and accustomed to local norms, traditions and way of life.
Great video, keep up the good work.🙏

Great video Chris! You are showing the true colours of the people of Kandahar and Afghanistan as a whole. The country has been through a lot a and much negativity from the media, so this is a great way to expose the world to the people of afghanistan and their humble ness. Just a suggestion; whenever you're finding a interpreter please make sure they can speak both national languages, Pashto and Dari. I have seen your video filmed in Kandahar. The local's voices and passion is not correctly translated the way it should be because the the interpreter does not speak pashto. Interpreter knowing both languages is a huge advantage to your videos as it will reflect correctly what the locals are saying. For example: in this video the Naswar seller said in a funny way that it was the effect of Naswar that we could defeat 47 countries here but the translator "translated that we are exporting Naswar to 47 countries". The messages should go accurate to the world otherwise one sentence would change the perspective of millions. Would you just take your camera into a restaurant and start filming people while they are eating in a restaurant in Toronto? How about asking what the cultural norms are in the city before going around and asking why women are not seen eating in a restaurant.
