  • Lure Painting a Fire Craw Crankbait - Custom Airbrush Stencil for Custom Lures.
In this video I am painting my Fire Craw Pattern with my custom stencil made on the cricut. This pattern should be on "Fire" for the Springtime Bass.
Colors I used for this Lure are as follows
Golden Titanium White, Createx Fluorescent Orange, Wicked Crimson Red, Createx Candy 2.0 Blood Red
Stencil used for this bait can be found here:

Check out my Custom Lure Painting Log Book
If you are new to lure painting this is probably one of the best tools you can have. When I first started painting fishing lures I was so excited that I jumped in and started painting lure blanks without even thinking I may have to reproduce that lure again. A year later I wished I had this log book back then, because after painting a couple hundred lures sometimes remembering the colors I used, or where I even ordered the blank from became a problem.

???Question I seen on one of your videos you used a UVLS clear gloss coat ??? can that be a final coat with a couple applications or is it more of just a sealer then dip it in clear or epoxy it ???

Honestly I wouldn't trust it as a final coat since it is water based. I have not tested it as a final coat since I always epoxy all my lures with a UV resin. It may protect them for a short time but how does it stand up with multiple use over time is the question. I do use it if I have a bunch of lures that I need to paint quickly so my stencil doesnt pull off the paint. Let me know if you test it I'd be curious to know.

Do you have a file source for the Cricut to cut the templates? Or do you draw them?

I create my files in Illustrator then upload to the cricut.
