Maaaan! That’s the secret weapon that he didn’t want to show. At least that’s what I’m thinking because we all know Elevations snare is a lot fatter than what we just heard in this clip. It’s in his signal chain so I’m sure he does use it
@@Exocal15 I've watched their drum tuning video a while ago and their drummer states they like to tune the snare higher. That always struck me funny because they have that deep sound. It makes more sense now.
@@andyxprophet I think it depends on which one you use cause while I agree the original one overdoes it, their The Shining model has been perfect cause it’s a bit thinner and not so intense

Keeping the gate off the snare changed the game on my mixes. Thanks Cory.
Indie drums: Who are you?
Worship drums: I am you, but holier.
See a Victory... Elevation’s drums sound incredible. Appreciate the insight on the snare
Of course, thanks for watching!
In song's post production during mixing process they use sample replacement for kick and snare
@@jamesstewart5859 is there a video about that or how’d you come up with that
@@jamesstewart5859 No...

This is the only TH-cam account that keeps bringing me back here. I’ve watched all your videos and I am learning so much
Yep. It's some nice insight into their process ;)
I never even thought about a phase shift, that’s a great idea! Thank you guys!

Thanks for the podcast guys. Still missing the effects, which makes the sound sounds like how it should sound though.

That's a yummy looking console.
Thank your.

Great!
How can I get the snare sound out of the Toms

is there more videos in your course
Hi Reeta! They're available here! getmxu.com
i thought the snare mic was a tf M80?
why not use some gate?
Question: Does the drummer have to rimshot to get that kind of pop on the snare?
Yes obviously.. you can hear the rim popping with the head..
Are you detuning the snare with torque?

@@weeschwee yes sir! I tighten my church’s snare drum pretty tight too and then use torque to detune it. Sounds great!
@@Exocal15 that's cool. I've never tried it before. I don't own torque, but I bet I can find an alternative.
@@weeschwee it’s an awesome plug-in! Being able to tune any drum how you want to hear it is definitely a good tool to have!
What he meant to say... Flip the polarity of the signal to avoid a shift in time which creates phase.
“Flip the phase” means the same thing. No need for correction. It’s called a phase switch on some consoles.
Anybody use the big fat snare overlay thing on their snare?
Not a fan. It deadens the drum too much, in my opinion!
I've seen drummer have two snares and use one with a big fat snare as an fx snare and the other as their main.
