I just had TRHR anterior on 2/24/21 from hip dysplasia. I was in agonizing pain and walked with a horrible limp. I am 3 days PO and walking with 0 pain and feel great. It’s amazing the difference!

Excellent video. Two weeks post R anterior cement-less. Partial r lateral 2 years post pathological fracture from osteoporosis. This surgical recovery so much easier. Muscle soreness along IT Band , sartorius and Rectus femoris stable pelvis. Using cane for last week. D/C 1 day post op. Your description of procedure really helpful. I am also a PT with bilateral knees,R TAR, bilateral RSR and allergies to cement. All done cementless.

Thank you Dr. Marsh for the excellent video. I am scheduled for right hip anterior approach on Tuesday 14 July 2020 at Sentara Princess Anne hospital, Virginia Beach. I am using a walker now (rollator) and still have pain even though I try not to put full weight on my right leg. I have researched the anterior procedure and I AM READY. Respecfully, Dan Satalino

Excellent informational video, I had Arthroscopic Hip replacement done to my left hip 2 weeks ago, I used a walker for 4 days and graduated to a cane, I feel that my recovery so far is ahead of schedule. I have a follow up appt. in 2 days with my Dr.. Hopefully in 2 months I'll be able to ambulate without the use of a cane. In Sept. of 2009 I had my Right hip replaced non arthroscopically done and it's doing great.

Well this vlog was made 10 years ago around 2013, but he said 10 per cent were doing the anterior approach? Not down in Australia. It's way, way more than that. No one down here does the lateral approach anymore, but many still do the posterior approach. And just on the doc's IT skills ... I hope he's a far better surgeon than what he's showing with a simple Powerpoint presentation. And oh there's him trying to figure out the table brakes ...

what about burning the nerve root heads to stop the hip pain to avoid hip replacement, i had my right hip completely replaced and i would like to try burning the hip nerve root heads for my left hip? what do you think, good or bad idea?

If my surgeon comes in with a cheat sheet, I am running on my destroyed femur out of the hospital.
