I have all three sizes of Finex skillets and love them.
Like all of them but the #12 is my favorite for making burgers.
At first I didn't use the lid but now use it the whole time I'm making burgers in mine.
I start on a moderate #2 setting and switch to the low setting to finish them.
Using the lid keeps the burgers moist and brown thru and thru without being burned or showing pink using these settings which is to my liking but may not be for everyone else.
A second but important benefit of the lid is, of course, to prevent grease splatter and keep the stovetop clean.

Also, check out our Scalloped Potatoes and Ham in the Finex. I preheat the lid to cook the potatoes quicker. I am so glad I bought the lid! Thanks again for your input and support!

No it doesn’t. Who told you this? Bacon grease, beef suet, lamb suet, butter, ghee, all contribute to the seasoning.

@@LordStanley94 i cooked bacon in my new Finex and it definitely took OFF the factory seasoning. I know what i saw happen. I wouldn't recommend bacon as a first cook to anyone.

@@jstones9872 So, what would you use? I used bacon on all my cast iron and it was fantastic.

@@LordStanley94 i use avocado oil and potatoes . Switched from flaxseed as the smell was too much. Avocado oil works really well. Once there is some seasoning on its fine to cook bacon, but as a first cook no thanks

@@jstones9872 Interesting. I would never season any cast iron with FO, as it peels/flakes with time. When I receive my FINEX I will rinse it out first. Then, I will gently heat it up on the stove top and season it with Grapeseed Oil and then place it in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Do this 3-4 times. Then you use it in any way.
