That’s a great idea jordys wet sanding tutorial at its best and awesome job on wood spirit I can’t wait until my brain catches up on this wood caving hobby I always have to do it 1000 times and one day it all happens at once and that’s the big reward besides the out come of each carving reward , I’ve learned trades and after a year or 2 it becomes 2nd nature and you become empowered a big reward is just around the corner but for now it’s discipline . Hats off to jordy!,
Wonderfully done. When you state that anybody can do this I think that it’s fair to say that the key skill is knowing where to start and then how to proceed.
I'm so impressed by your confidence with your tools. I've watched this video a dozen times as well as your skull carving ones. Thanks for the help. (Built a giant chess board and am power carving the pieces)
I love your incredible work and tips!! I just bought a corded Dremel at a yard sale. I had a battery Dremel that I burned out carving rocks and walking sticks. I can't wait try this again!!!
Ha......after all the video's of your's I've watched I'm just noticing today that your left handed. Cool job on the Spirit, that stain and highlighting really make it POP!!
Awesome...I have ordered a tool a couple of days ago and can not wait until the things arrive. I didn't pay too much for the rotor and it does come with a Flexi shaft but I hope to catch some inspiration to start customising guitars or any other things I can make an income from.
What was that disk bit you used to bring out the rings in the wood I’m having a bit of trouble sanding down a skull I’m working on that seemed pretty effortless and still looks so good I’ve spent like 4 or 5 days carving my walking stick and still not done lol
6 minute carving anyone can do. Me, 36 minutes later: Okay, I think I got the carving bit secured! Also, am I the only one that about had a panic attack thinking he was gonna lose a finger? Oh my, slow down, you need those fingers!
oh man ... I might give this a go. Bought a dremel today but I am so intimidated. Plus, what wood do I use? We are in the mtns and I can't get to the driftwood until after the snow melts.
Had a question about the type specifically of the shade of the minwax? It says it's minwax polyshade but doesn't give the shade. Oak? Dark oak? Etc.. wondering what shade it is? I've been doing these as well but can't seem to find one I like they either are too light or too dark of stains I wanted to try what you used here.
You’re such a great help, Jordy! What kind of an attachment did you use in this video that looks like a scruffy disk? When I finish my carving I end up with little burrs and “wood hairs”. Would I be wanting a “flap” disk for that? What do you recommend? Many thanks.
well done Jordy - once the covid is over and I can get out of the house I am going to trying carving one of these bad boys - have yourself a good week and stay safe
What is the difference between the dremel 4300 and the 4000? Im looking to start carving and want a decent rotory tool to start but also one that will be good enough for when I (hopefully) will get better. Also thinking about the Foredom SR... Anyone?
You are getting so fast you are just a blur Jordy, but it just shows you, how practice what you preach accomplishes lots you are getting so good and still having fun. Keep safe Jordy, we are having to self isolate over in England and I hope we make it through but its going to take time.
@@CarvingFusion Yeah ive just seen it, im in the UK and have just bought at rotary tool and some kutzall burrs(so expensive over here). Thanks for your videos bro i look forward to trying this out :)
@@CarvingFusion Im having trouble finding carve-able wood, its either too soft which doesnt hold details or too hard for my rotary. I found a tree being cut down which had pieces perfect but it was Mesquite and so heavy and hard that it would take me forever to carve. Happen to know of a few types that are common in the southwest deserts??
Get after it my friend. Loving it!😎🤫
Great work ... I can’t help but caring when you get close to that pinky finger lol
That's an incredible guide technique you have with your pinky. If I tried that. I'm sure in the bandage dept. or E.R. bound.
Lol, no it's because it's broken and I can't bend it lol
Carve deeper my friend absolutely love ❤️ it! Attention to detail 👍💯🙏🇺🇸
Jordy - you're truly the Charlie Daniels of tha old Flex Shaft! Nice work.

Just find some wood and go to town
@@CarvingFusion LOL ... that's the plan! Any recommendations on what wood to use? In Northern CA.
Soft wood is easier to carve. Any type of conifer.
Just got my Internet back . Heavy hands strikes again lol . Cool spirit buddy .

Nice work .... an artist in their craft for sure... There are multiple MinWax PolyShade options.... which specifically do you use ????
I like to use the gloss
Your gotten so good Jordy you don't bother with drawing the lines, Every time I try getting that egessive I snap the inner shaft.
Lol i broke a shaft today

Great Video! Looks like a lot of fun. I couldn't tell witch carving burr you used from your link, do you mind sharing it?
Impressive
Thank u
where do you get the tools/bits for the dremel?
Kutzall
Clearly done that more than once 😂
omg are you left handed too? I just got a dremel and I'm having to figure out how to work with the rotation and cutting direction.
Class! Thank you

I woukd say the dremel 4000 with flex shaft is the most reliable
@@CarvingFusion dose it have a pedal for speed control or is it not necessary?
@@netac7667 yes i use a speed control pedal
So cool 😭🙏🙏
Very cool
Shit brother!!! So fast!!! Killer piece
Do you ever touch your finger with the tool while its running? Accidentally of course. What happens?
It hurts carry on
I gave up on trying to do this myself after one minute into the video, lol. But I did watch it until the end.
I'm still so slow, one per day if I am lucky to have time to carve.
What bit are you using? Is that a grinding bit?
Kutzall extream flame bur
@@CarvingFusion thanks just ordered one!!!

It should say it on the kutzall sight or on a box

I started hand carving spoons recently to eventually work up to carving sculptures with chisels. Fuck that, I need a dremel.
Lol
Harbor Freights has one for $10 that's a start lol I just bought mine and ended up looking at dremel projects now
After 26 yrs of shift work, I would love to carve someone up that fast😏
