As someone who hasn’t ever watched MotoGP, this was awesome. I used to watch F1 but I just can’t anymore. It’s such a procession and the car is such a huge factor. It’s incredible to see a race where the top 4 finishers were so close and they were on 4 different manufacturers bikes.

I used to watch F1, but they need to have equal cars, otherwise its the same result every time.
Bikes were always my first love - I've ridden all my life, starting at 13. In my 70s now and still going strong.
If you've not watched the Isle of Man TT, you should... Better still, go there if you can.
@@petetimbrell3527 I’ve never seen the whole race, but I’ve seen pieces of it. It’s the ultimate race. I will disagree on all F1 cars needing to be the same. My favorite part was seeing innovative ideas spurred on because of need, but the formula and regulations need to allow more room for innovation. For a long time now the “box” that all cars need to fit into is too tight and doesn’t allow for innovative ideas. If one team does come up with a good idea, it’s either banned or copied by the next season.
@@JG54206 Yeah I understand and agree with you about F1, but each year's world champion F1 driver really is just the guy who drove for the best/most innovative team. To find the "world's best racing driver" they need to be in equal cars. That's what I always believed anyway.
Bikes are different in that respect - especially at the TT. Any bike there will definitely kill you if you take too many liberties.
Bottom line - long may we be allowed to race without the Stop Oil crowd invading the pitch.... Peace brother.

I will concede 100% that as long as the cars are different, determining the “best driver” becomes much more difficult, whereas with racing bikes the rider makes much more of a difference, especially in the TT race where it’s Superbikes instead of GP bikes. Superbikes are very much based on production machinery with special “go fast” parts and tricks, whereas the GP bikes are purpose built racing prototypes. Hopefully bike racing stays as pure as it currently is, because F1 is basically lost at this point. Cheers friend.
This was the first motogp race i saw and i was at the track. After i left i fell in love with it an now im trying to follow it more.

This is far better than F1, unpredictable. F1 in Monaco everyone knows the result from qualifying. In MotoGP, there are atual overtakes and crashes. Like fresh air.
First lesson in Moto GP rookie school . Unless you are spanish , dont exceed track limits .

As much as I love MGP it is often anti-climatic due to all the crashes of the major players and you're left with the jr varsity riders, and that's a buzz kill. That French rider has gone from the penthouse to the outhouse really quickly.
at least its not like F1 where its just one team dominating every year and very minimal overtaking
@@fohtheim9864 depending on how old you are F1 is way better now than the 70s 80s and 90s in those decades only the top 3 had a chance and DNF's were the only way anyone else had a chance. I totally get your point though. Indy is way better IMO.

Anyone can crash out makes no sense to me you hav to push but not over the limit
These guys are always on the limit. They just make it look easy. This was hot day on a slimy track and a lot of riders found the slimy spots at the wrong times. But one front ender looks like the rider accidentally tapped the front brake lever going into a very hard left turn. Still, all crazy courageous, skilled riders.
Já tivemos numa msm temporada Rossi, Marques, Lorenzo, Bautista, Pedroza, Dovizioso, Petrucci... Atualmente parece a F1, garotos ricos desconhecidos brincando de pilotar... Além da diferença entre as máquinas...
