I’m from lahore. I was born 1972. From samanabad. Model town always fascinated to me. Formed in 1920’s n roads are so wide and planned. Hindus built it because Muslims mostly were poor uneducated labor force. 1947 made lot of Muslims lucky n they got these huge houses in claim or occupied as refugees n then had legal battles for 50-60yrs. Most homes r subdivided. But amazing location. Too much pollution made lahore terrible. I left 30yrs ago to USA. I’m not proud of Pakistan. System of baradri basis vote. Corrupt new money Muslims after 1947 stayed ignorant even after got money. Made this country so harsh that most of young middle class left in my times and before. And still going on.

Life of middle class and lower middle class sections of our society is extremely difficult due to bad policy decisions. We can hope and pray for a better future of this country. I am from India. There is a long discussion about Model Town, Lahore in a famous book called Punjabi Century written by Prakash Tandon. The author's family had a big house in Model Town which they had to abandon during Partition.
Model Town is one of the most developed housing societies in Lahore. But you are right about the separation between the pedestrians and the vehicles on road. Thanks for appreciating my patient driving 😊 🌹 💓

Very commercial area. Not peaceful like 40 yrs ago. I remember the link road had one store n now it’s huge commercial hub. No parking provided n still thinking where customers will park.like I said typical ignorance of Muslims. See main model town from Hindus. Wide roads green belts. Parking. Parks.
