I was out that way in the summer pre-Covid. We had our annual language course in Osijek. Fascinating area. Saw the Lipizzaner stud near Đakovo, went to Kopački Rit, and Osijek itself is historic. "Esseg" in Austro Hungarian times. Worth a few days, but don't expect to go hill-walking!
Slavonija is truly a beautiful place, a genuine piece of the European Panonian plain. As long as there's enough rain its truly Croatia's bread basket with wonderful oak forests in the surrounding countryside. They have fantastic places to eat and is a more affordable part of Croatia, but nevertheless it can make a fascinating trip for the informed traveler. If you're looking for another undiscovered part of Croatia its the city of Knin and Dalmatinska Zagorje, its truly a historic place that needs and deserves all the publicity and tourist recognition it can get. Croatia isn't just about island and coastal tourist traps, its a fascinating European country with a rich history and pleasant climate.
I live in Kutjevo and seeing someone visit my hometown and admiring it’s beauty makes me really happy 🥰. Thank you for visiting this part of Slavonija!
Wow! The winery looks gorgeous! What a place! And the park + castle - also very interesting. Thanks to all of you for showing us such interesting and rather not popular places :-)
Love the Slavonija area so overlooked...had the pleasure of going to Nova Gradiska and area, had a ton of kulen, zgance, etc. and the prices are so economical compared to the coast which I spent a ton of money prior. As far as cuisine I enjoyed Slavonija a lot more and just more quaint the smaller towns. You and Ivan do such a fab job considering you have 3 wee ones to tend to. Looking forward to your next adventure.....now time for a cuppa ☕
Yes, it definitely gets overlooked, so we really wanted to spend some time highlighting it too :) It's a beautiful region with much to offer! Thanks for your sweet words! 💕 🥰
How come that you kept that vid so long in your archive? It's so great! Love it and love Slavonija. Hopefully there's even more footage from Slavonija than that. Actually every part of Croatia is wonderful but Slavonija's like "Ima snagu zlatnog žita." :) And it's got the power of eating more than elsewhere. The home of svinjokolje, great kulen sausage and čvarci and so forth! And the home of tamburica, Bećari, Slavonske lole, drmeš and Slavonske svadbe, šokadija and much more. Anyway, that was a great video, thanks for sharing it, Sarah! 💓💞 Hold on, now I'm reading of your issues with the footage material you had, I see. Anyway, hope you got more of it and if not, Slavonija is waiting for you and your family! ;) Happy Easter❣
Yes, we had trouble with the footage for some reason - it kept glitching (you can still see some left on the video), and honestly, we were super busy we didn't have a chance to fix it and get it edited until now. But don't worry, there are more Slavonija videos to come :) Happy Easter to you, too! 🥰
The footage was a bit corrupted for some reason, and had a bunch of glitches, so it took a while to get it fixed... Also we were just extremely busy and are still getting caught up on stuff we filmed last year. We still wanted to show this beautiful part of Croatia, even if it's a year later ☺️
In every corner of the world, wherever I go, the "oldest" from Italy to Australia claim that everyone is lying. But that doesn't even matter. Bitno je uživati 😊
Hvala Bogu da napokon netko promovira ovaj predivan dio Hrvatske gdje žive najgostoljubivi ljudi! Pozdrav iz Zagreba❤😊
Pozdrav!! 🥰♥️
Most beautiful part of eastern Croatia.Mountains, creeks, valley, wine, fruits...
Yes, it's absolutely beautiful!

Mr.Kutjevo! 😂
Nice to see the homeland of my grandparents. Not understanding the money thing though, maybe in future give a USD comparison.
Our new vids will all be in EUR... This was filmed last year when we were still on the Kuna. Kuna is about 6 to 1 USD.
A white wine glass is always held low by the stem.
I could live in this winery basement..
Right?!
Toliko sam oduševljen,da sam odma zvao za posao.Hvala Sara i moj imenjače.Lijepi pozdrav...
👍👍👍👍👍💯
🥰
Bačva 53.520 litara!!! Ja znam jednu veću, a ta je u vinariji Erdut sa 75.000 litara!!! Tko sad ima većega?
da li je ta u ERDUTU u upotrebi??
@@antoniomautner Naravno...
Godišnje "potroši" nekoliko stotina litara vina, jer drvo upija tekućinu i bačva se stalno mora dosipavati da bude puna...
Canola is a variant of rapespeed bred in Canada, hence the name. It is also related to broccoli for today's funny fact.
Nice!
VRH!
Hvala! 🥰
Why upload after 1year?🤔🤔
