One of my 10 favorite heroes of all time! Unfortunately, he's often overlooked because of how snakebit the F4 are, which is too bad. He's got the three things any modern superhero needs to hit it big with audiences: strength, sass, and heart. His outsider status should also be a plus.

It'd better! This franchise is snakebit as hell! Things got off to a bad start imo with Pedro Pascal being cast as Reed. Of all the actors out there, Pedro is not someone I think about at all when it comes to Mr. Fantastic!
Whoever plays him next better be EXTREMELY handsome in his human form, like ridiculously so. Like a boyband member or someone who could star in a soap opera. Some no name abercrombie or model could do the job, of course with some acting skills it is.
You mook that's Johnny not Ben. The guy who's not really but is said to be playing him next is well enough. Ben's look is either ruggedly handsome or average male, look at him in any of his media adaptations. The important thing is that he has no beard because it's really getting stupid how almost every male Marvel character in a live action media adaptation needs to have the full mustache and beard facial hair. Plus that doesn't look good on Ben, it just makes him look like a generic tough guy instead of someone who is tough

Johnnys character arc is about getting girls and or being popular because of his confidence first, however he is also good at sports and other stuff as well as his sometimes immature humor. I am not saying he shoukd be ugly of course, but he doesn't need to immediately turn heads. Also, there is this thing(no pun intended höhö^^) called shock-value. What shocks more? Average guy turning into a monster? Or a heartthrob doing the same? My 2 cents
Why the hell is this guy constantly talking about how most of these Bens aren't big enough when Ben Grimm isn't supposed to become taller as The Thing? Other than the 2015 Fantastic Four movie, because that's based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics where Ben actually is bigger as Thing (Though still taller than in the movie), when you see Ben's Thing form bigger than his human form in the media, it's a design choice. It's even worse in the comics because the writers and/or artists keep switching back from him being of average human height to being Hulk-sized, and yet still with the Savage Hulk still being bigger than him somehow. With Hulk and Thing: It's big & buff and short (In comparison) & short. In fact, it's Ben's wideness as Thing that was original audio source of problems for him because he couldn't walkthrough single door doorways anymore without readjusting himself and needed Custom Clothes
Don't shoot me, but purely from a physicality point of view, Brock Lesnar would make a great Thing. No idea of his acting chops but that man looks like a flesh version of Thing to a tee 😅
I pretty much grew up on the Hannah Barbara Thing, specially The Voice. Don't get me wrong. I love every single Ben Grimm the thing all the way up to now. But the 1960s Hannah Barbara the thing will always have a special place in my heart, especially when he says his catchphrase, "it's Clobberin' time!" OK, I'm gonna admit I never saw the scrapped fantastic four movie back then in 1994, but the puppet tree was really nice… Could use a bit of improvement but still nice

Hope he isn't CGI. Be cool if the pushed practical effects, see how well they can make him look. Or a good blend at least. I liked MC as The Thing. The original Thing was 6ft in the 60s comics. Good opportunity to use make up effects. Too much CGI in films nowadays.
There's a reason why I LOVE the 1994, 2005 and 2007 movies: they focused on SOURCE MATERIAL
