    Hi Motoman. Have watched several of your videos, including the recent ones about the GTS and the Spyder. I also just saw the one with you and Hurley at Barber in the GT3. Very cool. I went there in 2005. You look much better now! Keep up the great work!

    Best American automotive journalist on the 'net - and that's what I thought before I discovered this bald-faced admiration for 991TS engineering. One of the worst things about current, rampant, auto-journo hackneyed phrase-strafing, is that when a true example sprouts up, it's power of description and translaion of dynamic qualities is already completely bankrupt. So then, when our chipper-chappy finally gets 'round to, 'The'Deserved One', and again drops his, "The acceleration just kicks you square in the back in 1st gear, then caves in your eye sockets in 2nd!", it's become a kind of insult to the car because I wouldn't trust his description of a meile top-loader's spin cycle. Anyway, I appreciate Motoman's appreciation of his job and how to properly do it. BTW - does this thing haul ass or what? It fits into that category in which fewer cars that I can count on one hand belong: The kind that, as driver, you aren't immediately impressed by the physical engineering so much as by the sensation that Porsche's solution instead was to simply re-engineer physics.

    That is one awesome 911! Looks like they gave you a fully loaded one #OptionBox ;)
    Dem Germans are crazy! The amount of work they put into it is epic.
    Now, since you drove both a Traditional Front Wheel Steering 911 & an All Wheel Steering 911, which one would you rather have if everything else was identical?
    Love the video M & like always, keep up the great work !

    Hey Moto Man good review..I can't wait for you to get Ralph back on & yall drive the Hellcat. Any news on when this will happen?

    • @MotoManTV
      @MotoManTV  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate you reaching out . . . Not certain if you saw this on our Challenger Hellcat episode but figured I would share it again here: First off, want to say that we are HUGE fans of Ralph, Klaus Busse, Mark Trostle, Dick Winkles, Erich Heuschele, Chris Nowak, Dave Cottrell and all the people we have been fortunate enough to work with over the years that dream up, design, engineer and build Chrysler and SRT (especially) cars. If you have seen our episodes with these guys, you know that they have become friends over the years. That said, about two and half years ago the communications group within Chrysler up in Auburn Hills made the decision to severely limit our access to their cars which left us with a problem: We had developed a hugely loyal viewer base in the Mopar faithful that watched our films for which we are VERY thankful. You guys watched our films to the point that let’s just say, I'm not saying we’re Motor Trend but numbers were not the problem. But the reality of our business is this: timely access to cars is everything. Shoot a car too late, and you won’t make enough revenue from advertising and views to cover your cost of production. At first, because of the highly strategic relationship we had developed with Chrysler - Ralph especially - and the size of the audience we had developed that followed this specific brand within our show, we became creative on how to work around the issue. But as we got more creative, the problem became worse to the point of not being sustainable. Sadly, even though we had tried hard to come to a solution over the past 2 years it was with the Hellcat that the issue came to an impasse. As stated at the beginning of this post, we have great admiration for the folks behind the cars and VERY much want to arrive at a solution to this issue so we can continue creating great films with Ralph and the boys on their - as of late - truly epic cars.

      Joel D Surprisingly, no. I know it doesn't look it from that last shot but it's as if the car just levitates when you engage launch control . . .
