It not difficult to see how much Andy loved farming and his tractors. He was the most positive person and I never saw him ask for help , the only time I heard him complain , he was overhauling an engine on one of his tractors and a nut he removed with impact wrench fell out of the socket right into a 5 gallon bucket of oil. Lol who wouldnt have said a word or two after that. He gave me contentment and guilt at same time watching him. Guilt because Andy out worked me at times. Im sure he is missed every day. RIP Andy.

Very beautiful 4955. When I was younger we had a 4850 we pulled with same 5 shank ripper, oh yeah itd stop it dead. I had to rip in 6th a lot. In a 9 shank chisel plow itd pull her in 8th usually. Anywho, I miss our older gen tractors. We still have 4555 at least we plant with, but mainly because we put down our own chemical and fwa's are harder to put chemical tanks on

A 4955 with less than 10,000 hours on it!!!?????
The last time I ran one was over ten years ago, it had 8,600 hours on it then.
Around here, if it's ground they'll let you rip... It's mostly V rippers with 32" to 36" long curved shanks.
We try to run ours all the way in the ground, a 2wd 4430 pulls 5 Shanks nicely, on the flat😂🤣
Most are on articulateds and 7 or 9 shanks on a 12' bar. (that are too close together!!)
    Thanks for the ride Andy!!!
