  • Hi and welcome back to a new chaotic piece of art! In this b-word we take a trip on a bus, an Onnibus, from Helsinki (Kamppi) to Tampere bus station! We have front row seats aswell today so the views will definately make up for my not up to par editing and filming :). Hope you enjoy!
I want to make timelapse content from buses someday, but I have to invest in a go-pro or something for that, so that'll take place sometime in the future! Anyhow, thank you for watching my videos and I hope to see you in the next one!

Sad that the front window was not cleaned! You should really take this up with the company so they can pay attention to this.

It happens, in the summer when it doesn't rain that much, sand and just other dirt and dust hit the window, unfortunately thats the reality of long distance buses

@@syksystransitagency I noticed that it was right there from the beginning of your journey, what I meant was that at least before starting the journey the windows must be cleaned. You are paying extra for those seats and in general the cleaning standard should be maintained as has been the tradition. If customers do not raise the voice in such issues, it may soon become "normal" as in many other countries, unfortunately. Of course during the trip dust and sand will hit but before starting the journey the cleaning should be done it would take few minutes but not more than 15 I guess.

@@FarooqF-g2x Absolutely, you are right! Most of the buses have wipers installed for the upper windows too, but im not sure if all. Onnibus is getting new buses at the moment and they will have them if im not mistaken, that should make cleaning easier

Hej. What would be the most scenic route from Åbo? Could it be too Rovaniemi or Oulu? Are there places where one can legally and safely set up a tent to spend the night or two? Please recommend the places if there are. It could be helpful for someone in a budget who would make 1 one or 2 days return journey for the bus views.

In Finland, under "jokamiehenoikeudet" you are allowed to set up a tent / hammock and sleep in it pretty much anywhere. As long as you don't do so in someone else's yard, a nature reserve, or a natural park, you'll be just fine! As to where those areas where you can't set up tents are, I don't know exactly but you can surely find maps online!
As for scenery, pretty much anything in the lake region looks amazing. Lapland is always also a good bet, but it gets quite hard to get to. From Turku (Åbo) you can also go see the archipelago, its beautiful aswell! Pretty much any nature in Finland is worth visiting if you put your mind to it. Be careful and have fun! Hope this helps

And if you book your trip well in advance, the bus tickets are really cheap!

@@syksystransitagency Thank you so much, highly appreciated.
The same bus you took is going to Rovaniemi, so basically that is what you meant by Lapland? Though, it has designated stops towards hiking trails and I guess there might be possibility to set up the tent of they do not fall under the category of nature reserves, and national parks, or private property.
Yes, if in advance it can cost 50 to 60 EUR from Åbo. However, interestingly, the VR is also taking there in more or less the same price but I am not fully sure.
The bus seats (front ones that you paid) would offer great views while train would provide more comfort perhaps.
Apart from that there seems to be wild cats but not sure if they bother tents. Hopefully bears and elks wont either.
This sounds so fantastic to take a tent and after hoping off the bus in Lapland, figure out a place to set up the tent to spend the night and next day or day after take the bus back.

@@FarooqF-g2x Glad it helped! Yea, Finland can have some fiesty wildlife, but with caution one should be safe. Onnibus also offers routes deeper into Lapland (more north), it's easier since they don't take the tracks. VR also offers a night train service so thats nice, although with an extra cost. Trains have more comfortability, but the bus is definitely cheaper, atleast if compared to the night train!

Do you have to pay extra for the front seats or anyone can sit there?

    • @syksystransitagency

It was 2€ on top of the original price. Its 2€ also for the extra legroom seats in the back!
