Tbh, experienced builders don't really care about whether the area is flat. Its a nice detail to include for newcomers to ark but personally i prefer building unique structures which morph to the surrounding terrain.
You could also say that the majority of people looking for base location videos are prob newcomers anyway lol, if you're a good builder you probably don't really need videos like this because of how skilled you are and can most likely build anywhere but for me I hate building and prefer to be close to everything and resources with something easy to build on and I've played the game on and off for 5 years so to me it's still very useful to watch! Imo finding metal in the entire green zone is almost mission impossible!🤣
@@highgamer8858 It's always cool to see other ppls opinion on which spots are the best. And yeah, I agree: building close to resources is very important. Also, most of the green zone metal is higher up, on the elevated land.
@@mochiboot6502 Yeah it is, hard to find good amounts of it like other maps! I think that is why I like the map so much though, one of the more difficult maps to play!
@@highgamer8858 i mean im pretty experienced with a few thousand hours in game. I still like watching videos like this tho cause then ik where to look for people to loot👀but as far as flat areas i still like to have an area thats somewhat flat cause some things i like to build dont look very good if i have to build it on uneven ground
Thank you for the guide! I am deeply interested in spot #2, it is my first time on Aberration so I am hoping that it will help provide me with an easier time accessing the deeper areas and resources. As well the thought of having no Nameless there is certainly a huge benefit!
Thanks for this guide, Bey! I finally started Aberration earlier this year, it's been a comedy of errors but I'm finally ready to move out of my starter hut in the portal. I was thinking about the fertile lake but now I'm leaning towards the green-blue waterfall area.
What’s the cords for Portal? I’ve been looking in a lot of videos and the wikki, but can’t find a pep. Want a Basilisk eventually and that’s their best spawn location. Working on the drake eggs. Some dude gave us some females, and been breeding em with other’s males, but only got two females so far. xD
Bruh, PvE really just means base locations that arent specifically for PvP purposes. This doesn't just mean base locations specifically for PvE official lol. essentially it just means roleplayer locations
Me: I wonder if my base location is on the list. . . #7: *exists* Notable: Hard to climb down that waterfall. Also, packs of raptors will cruise through, you wanna get past the thatch stage quick and acquire some bodyguard dinos.
I thought that too when I did a top 20 on The Island map a few months ago but a lot of people liked it and found it helpful, then proceeded to do a top 20 for other maps like Ragnarok, Valgeuro and Scorched to name a few and they also did quite well, I was quite surprised and admittedly I have been very busy the last 4 months and didn't manage to finish a few maps I'd like to but being as Aberration was always one of my favourite maps I felt I'd give it a try while working on some other videos!
@@BEYPlaysGames Yeah I'm sure it will help some people, but with ASA coming, I don't know how useful it will be even in the short term. I did appreciate your other top base spot video's but, and this is coming from the perspective of a pve official player, I just have the feeling of what's the point. Maybe more people than I realise will be staying on ASE single/unofficial, what do I know.

call newcomers players just because want a flat area to build is literally what a new player would say

No problem! Sounds like a good plan!!
yooo #10 inside the tree @ 11:25 is my new favorite spot. it loops all the way around has several nodes of metal
who is here ready for Aberration ASA lol
I'm going for alpha on one
No one says they are alpha in 2024 bud 😂 relax, especially on PVE@@godsgrace3630
Anyone who plays ASA is either a 4090 owner or a masochist.
@@EnigmA_ I have a 2080ti?
97 fps with 2 commands btw......
Great wideo, I love when I see some locations where I have played, I can't wait for Gen1, Gen 2 and extinction
Great video btw!
Thanks mate!

I built at #1 on my playthrough!! Amazing location!
Nicely done. Thank you.
Thanks mate! No problem! :)
Love this map! This brings back some good memories!
Very helpful if new to Aberration, will check this vid when I go back to playing it :)
Awesome video man! I love this map so much"
Thanks mate!
I'm one for accessibility to resources so this is such a good list of locations!
Fascinating. I didn't know bases could be built in PVE. You know because of the pillars. Literally everywhere.
I have heard that it's common to see on PVE servers :(

Man when I played Ab I missed out on so many of these spots, would have loved to build in some of those spots!
Im probably gonna go with #3
Finaly the base locations i was loo,ing for thank you
No problem! :)
#3 is usually my go to once i get some gates up but man the waterfall sound can be mind numbing sometimes lol only con to the area for me
Abb is out and this helpes a lot
I'll have an updated one for ASA releasing in the next few hours :)
@@BEYPlaysGames lets go imma watch it
I'm currently building in spot #8. Just mainly in the tree structure. Enough cliff platforms and I should be good to go.
how to put metal platforms as in 1st place in the top?
Bit of trial and error really but if it's too difficult I'd probably try placing them around in wood platforms first!
I use a base on the tunnel on the left, up in a little cave hole without roof
I like number 3
What about extinction base pls pls pls
I like your videos and I have a question. Can you make a video how to found the artifact of the extinction in operation in scratch earth
Keep going legendary
Yup I'm here again lmao
Sadly, this kind of video feels a bit redundant at this point in time.

It might be late in terms of release, but honestly there's so few good base vids on Ab, that I've been waiting a REAL long time for one like this
