East Asians, tend to have softer features in general which is probably why their men look so "pretty" to westerners. Kpop isn't a genre, its a whole industry in itself. BTS did not get popular for being "pretty". In fact, till about 3 years ago, they weren't this big. They are a very good looking bunch of men but so are the rest of hundreds of kpop groups. They became popular because they voice the youth. Their songs are deep and include social messages. They talk about everything a mainstream artist probably wouldn't. They are self-producing, versatile and talented in every aspect. they can rap like beasts, sing and dance. On top of that, they gain a lot of love for their humble attitude and hard working natures. There are 7 members, 3 rappers and 4 vocals. If you're interested in checking out more BTS, you should probably click on the cc, lol everyone complains that they don't know what they're saying but don't even switch on the subtitles smh.
V is abeautiful man, he does have unique features and we all probably agree with him being named the most handsome man last year. But, a westerner not used to korean features won't be able to see that. Their notion of "asian features" overpowers their sense of distinguishing unique beauty. There are a lot of uniquely beautiful artists in kpop, BTS isn't an exception and i am saying that as an ARMY.
D I V Y A I'm from America and I think V is gorgeous, all of Bts is. I'm just getting into Kpop and there is a lot of uniqueness but it didn't really surprise me/throw me off. Maybe it's because I have Filipino in laws or I'm more cultured than an average American.

Watching with cc is a bit distracting for some people though. I always watch vids the first time with them off. The lyrics usually never end up being to far from what I thought they'd be anyway. The feeling gets across regardless of not knowing the exact words.

They keep their music diverse which keeps the interest. They've made songs about youth, government, women empowerment, depression and more. The fans have also mentioned that BTS have helped them cope with depression and also made a lot of their fans appreciate music more. From music production to music composing, cinematography, lyrics, rap, singing and more (Including me)

I'm surprised no-ones commented this already *le sigh*. BTS music videos have English subtitles if you click the CC button. Their lyrics tend to have a lot of deep meaning. Imagery example from 'Fake Love' - "I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true." I also have a better explanation of the whole N word thing. In Korean different versions of the word naegu (I believe that's how it's spelled) means I am, you are, etc. though because it sounds so similar they even had to change the word to something else when they performed 'Fake Love' at the BBMA's in order to not cause confusion or backlash. The only thing Suga (the guy you thought said the N word) said in English was "It's all fake love". Your misheard lyrics interpretations were pretty funny.
Not going to lie, I was about to comment and say "Turn subtitles on, or you won't understand what they are saying." I can't tell you how many times I've come across reaction videos of BTS music videos and no one seems to realize this. And yes, Jungkook is a pretty boy; they are all pretty/handsome :D

But, a westerner not used to korean features won't be able to see that. Their notion of "asian features" overpowers their sense of distinguishing unique beauty. There are a lot of uniquely beautiful artists in kpop, BTS isn't an exception and i am saying that as an ARMY.

I'm surprised no-ones commented this already *le sigh*. BTS music videos have English subtitles if you click the CC button. Their lyrics tend to have a lot of deep meaning. Imagery example from 'Fake Love' - "I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true." I also have a better explanation of the whole N word thing. In Korean different versions of the word naegu (I believe that's how it's spelled) means I am, you are, etc. though because it sounds so similar they even had to change the word to something else when they performed 'Fake Love' at the BBMA's in order to not cause confusion or backlash. The only thing Suga (the guy you thought said the N word) said in English was "It's all fake love". Your misheard lyrics interpretations were pretty funny.
Not going to lie, I was about to comment and say "Turn subtitles on, or you won't understand what they are saying."
