@4:40 Nikki Giovanni was talking to James Baldwin. Two great minds. I love the connection that you made between their conversation and the song lyrics.
The amazing thing about them it’s not just the visual or something else they did so much MV without greenscreen many K-pop groups do that they just use them when there is no other way you can watch the behind the scenes videos
You have to watch the behind the scene of this MV shoot, I swear its just magical because all you see is real. Nothing of that is really green screen and thats what makes BTS so special. They do everything to let us feel every second of their songs!
fake love doesn't necessarily mean you're faking love or affection, but recognizing or coming to the conclusion that it's not love on your part. that's one way to view it, cause there are multiple layers to the song.
Blood sweat and tears mv you that have studied filming and stuff you are gonna love it. Love your reactions you are in my top 3 reactors ever on TH-cam
Yay, love Fake Love! Nothing fake about the video, the explosion, fire, water, running in that dripping floors, etc… this is why BTS is 💯 🔥 If you’re interested it’s cool to watch the behind the scenes making that video.
Not sure if any one else may have mentioned this, but since I know you guys really like there dancing, the really unique and cool fact about the choreo in this song is that it is a dance center around a Marinette, you know a puppet on strings. They said this was a challenging choreo to do, because its not just just the movements themselves, but its about the meaning. The puppet aspect, but also if you pay attention closely you will see that they cover their eyes, ears, mouth in some of the moves. This all of course is representative of the theme and topic of the song itself. It is very conceptual!!! There are other kpop groups like to do covers of this song, infact their is a video showing jhope mentoring and helping to teach the choreo, etc...., for another younger group just trying to cover this song. And thats how I learned more about the marinette part specifically. Because jhope goes into that, and tells the group about it, to help them know how to really portray this choreo correctly, in movement but also through their expressions. It is a pretty short clip. You guys should check it out. If I can find the link I will come back and leave it in the comment below. -ok so I found it, and it is in three short parts, like couple minutes each, and these have english subtitles, so if you check ot out make sure to put them on 1st part- th-cam.com/video/Ot2_djerUYI/w-d-xo.html 2nd part- th-cam.com/video/m-tgAoAvDtA/w-d-xo.html 3rd part - th-cam.com/video/vpvH6g_5_yw/w-d-xo.html These are the ones I could find, but not sure how the copyright might work, may have to cover part of the image or something like that. And as far as I know these are all the clips. Just incase you guys want to check it out.
And watch the behind the scenes for this that's all real fire, water, when JK running & the floor falling that's real he has a harness hooked up to him we just can't see it ❤️🔥 mic drop same thing ..real fire & their hooked up to harnesses their mvs are GOD TIER like they are lol Noone has the crew, stages or backup dancers they do 👑its one of the MANY reasons their the BEST in the world 💜
Definitely still one of my fave songs from them in terms of overall song and message, concept, choreography, performances/staging, fashion, everything.
Thank you so much for this reaction! Fake Love era was when I first started listening to BTS and it definitely has a special place in my heart, and it's also a masterpiece. The song that made me definitely an army was The Truth Untold, it's from the same album as Fake Love, and it's based on a beautiful fictional story called The Smeraldo Flower. The song is performed by the vocal line and it's a gorgeous and heartbreaking ballad, I hope you give a listen to it. Greetings from Argentina 💜💜💜
Also, I'd watch the behind the scenes of this video. The practical effects and the live rigs they use are epic. Also, they "save me" on the mirror It's also says "I'm fine"
Yesss !!! I saw them in concert let me tell you the videos DO NOT SUM IT UP🫰 Icried prob 10 times lol..was like nothing I ever saw or experienced in my life ,them...the stages, being with ARMYs & the bombs...even outside the arena it was literally all love ...but they are insane live it's unbelievavle💜
did u notice that in 4:09 (from this vid reaction) when he says 'babbling into the mirror' he made a 'looking into the mirror' pose with his teammate (jungkook). It's so cool
So many things to explain: Love Yourself Trilogy is a 3 album series, the first part talks about new love, growing love. The second part is about the sorrow that come from love, discovering that you aren't who you intended to be. The 3rd part is about realizing true love can only come after you learn to love yourself. "Fake Love" is a large part of series. BTS performed this song for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards. Bangtan Universe: The Bangtan Universe is a fictional storyline that takes place over various formats in BTS' works, from music videos, short on stage videos for concerts, small snippets were included in CD packaging... it eventually developed into a webtoon, a video game and a 2 part novel. Soon there will be a TV show based on this story line. The music video for Fake Love is part of these contents, it is a little more fantastical than the other parts, maybe as its from the internal perspective of the characters, so we see their world a little more from within their own heads. But it's a good story, with so many beautiful parts. Save me/ I'm fine: In one part of the music video you can see the words "Save Me" scribbled on the wall, when flipped upside-down it reads "I'm fine", these are the titles to 2 BTS tracks, it's hard to explain the genius of them, but they are contrasting songs and how they mirror each other is really creative.
I remember bang pd( founder of their company) making an agreement with the members saying that they wanted to make top quality videos, performances etc for the fans to not only show their appreciation but also they didn't want to create content that they would be embarrassed of. So they always try and one up themselves each time they deliver something new.
There is a hidden story line that runs through the BTS MVs called the Bangtan Universe/BU. It's a fictional story that started in 2015 that we had to interpret/research. Fake Love is part of the story, so the Snickers, the water, the fire, the phones on the wall, etc... all relate to the story. It's just another layer in the MVs, that you can check out, or ignore it and just enjoy the MVs without diving even deeper into the BTS rabbit hole.
I would recommend for you to see the color coded videos of each song and then seeing the MV, so you can see and become more familiar with who is doing each part.
The song is about how you fake it not how the other hurt you, to put it simple. Is about how you behave for the pleasure of the other(cause you love them) how you misrepresent yourself... That is fake love
The hands on the background picture form "see/hear/speak no evil", and is reflected in the choreo. Is in line with the fake love theme - of ignoring the negative an pretending everything is ok.
The part were Joonkook is runing and the floor is falling that was real no CGI he did have a safety haressness in case he tripped but he had to run fast as each section of the floor fell away. They brushed out his safety harness in post production.
This is widely regarded as the best song they've made. When Hybe sent out fan surveys and social media polls ahead of the group's anthology album 'Proof' and their collab with benny blanco, this song had the top vote. Personally, this is also my favorite music video, I really love the build after the cut scene and how they get so close to the camera when dancing. Still gives me goosebumps, every time.
Fake Love will Always remind me of Their concert in Las Vegas,NV. Us Army's were singing Fake Love along with them. Its Beautiful, amazing, relatable song. Bts are the best in what they do. Bts forever here. 💜🫰
I recommend for you to do next dimple and pied piper live performances next. God, there are so much content of bts and each member to choose from. I'm going to make you a list of some great ones you haven't done yet.
There synchronization is TOP TIER! They move like one person (which ain't easy). In their practices they are so intricate and detailed that they practice on where they should be LOOKING during in each move so that their eyes are synced! Next level intricate 🔥🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽

You two are absolutely precious. I love how you feel about the songs and appreciate them for their talent. I saw that you posted the dance practice. Yall should definitely react to a live version of this as well. 💜
one thing i love about your reactions is how genuine and interested you guys get into these songs. even to the point of understanding and appreciating everything they do thank you much love from army!!!!!! 💜💜💜💜
love your honest reactions as always! I love RM's collaborations with other artists, Sexy Nukim and Smoke Sprite are couple of my favorites. He gives off that "sir" vibes 😉💜
Anyone else in the US not happy w/ radio not playing so we came late to the global party? Luckily, I was reintroduced to BTS on Fallon & AMAs. I caught a quick glimpse in 2015? from a TH-camrs react. I was into JPop then & the debut MV was good but for me the guns & chains was another B2K. Yes, I kicked myself. Then Fallon & AMA DNA , Jimmin & V had me down the rabbit hole.
I respect yalls bts reactions. I like that you’ve found something that draws you into the music (eg performance) but also take time to read and think about the lyrics and share anecdotes that connect to the concepts.
BTS are always doing this. They make songs and videos so many people can relate to. Sometimes when people say „oh well you cannot expect me to include everybody into my thoughts“ I’m like oh yeah well bts can…so maybe you could but you just don’t want to… They make people feel seen and understood, and they do it in a way that’s just so enjoyable and fun. Thank you for reacting. I‘d love to see you react to their debut song and mv no more dream to see where they come from.
Love your reaction and your comments. You said at minute14:01 that they make sure to got the best in everything. That's so true, and that's what made me stay in this k-world, because for me now it's just not BTS, it's also other k-artist and k-dramas. They're fantastic. Better than any Hollywood movie. And talking about BTS for me it was incredible the creativity behind everything they do. I'm 49 years old and from Latin America and I really love music in general, but lately it's difficult for me to connect with any artist, because from my perspective they focus only on superficial stuff and sex and stupid lyrics, and the excuse is "that is what people like nowday and I hate that thought because if you want there's always a better way to do anything. BTS created an alternative universe in their videos where they tell a story connected. For me that's creativity beyond the limits. Only Michael Jackson did things like that.
Hey guys, been watching your reactions since you started with BTS, and not sure if anyone told you this but the guy whose voice you keep speaking about and who you keep noticing is Jimin, the guy who did Set me free and Like crazy. It makes sense you keep noticing his voice because you loved Set me free as well! Also the rapper who rapped after RM in the first verse was J Hope, and the guy who rapped in the second verse after RM was Suga/AgustD (the guy who you thought was j Hope). You haven't checked out any of J Hope's solo stuff yet :)
Just watched both your Fake Love reactions. I, like you, really enjoy the dance practices cuz you get to watch everyone, and together, unlike the MV's and most lives, where the camera work cuts to different people and other things. The MV's are so cool, cuz so many of them are like mini movies, so well done, and there's typically so very much symbolism in them. I think watching the live performances are still my favorite though. I just love seeing what they can do in. I really appreciate how much you guys seem to be appreciating their talent!💜
This song is from the album "Love Yourself: Tear", which is part of the trilogy Love Yourself, which has a great concept and narrative. "Love Yourself: Tear" itself is phenomenal. There are a lot of favorites on this one, but I'll just mention the three standouts: * "Outro: Tear" by the rapline, the live performance at Wembley. This is one of their most iconic performances, very emotional and just spectacular. I'm not even exaggerating. * "Truth Untold" by the vocal line, a heartbreaking ballad that fantastically showcases each of their vocals. Find the stage mix. * "Singularity" by V, a neo-soul song that will just lull you with the music and his husky, sultry voice. His stage performance is captivating, to say the least.
Don't know if anyone told you but when Jungkook is running the floor is really falling, they don't use green screen! Thanks for your reactions to the boys. 💜
This song is a great song..the lyrics, dancing, M/V,…great to sing to….one of their most famous songs…Jin was the one you kept hearing when you said takes the song to the next level..but all the BTS members are amazing in this song…song is very relatable to everyone….😍💜..I recommend you watch BTS Butter M/V and then BTS Butter performance at 2022 64th Grammy performance…BTS got a standing ovation at the Grammys…🔥😍💜
loving your reactions! and I also had to listen to some of their songs a couple of times before they grew on me, so no worries! keep going on this BTS journey, they won't disappoint!! 💜💜
You're right; everyone, at some point in their lives, has been hurt and hold it inside. Whether you're 13, or 23, or 43, or 63. That's why they have made an impact on the world. Their videos/dancing/outfits/ music/lyrics/ reality shows, etc. touch everyone, no matter your age, sex, race, orientation/situation ... Army is All of the above. They are amazing. Love you BTS! 💜💜💜💜 Thank you for your honest reaction (Subscriber) ..
i'm really sorry i can never seem to catch the name of the guy on the left, with orange shirt. i just wanted to say i enjoy his thoughts so much. he'd be quiet and suddenly he'd be seeing many details and picks up on a lot. and tre's smiles everytime he's enjoying a particular part, i find it so genuine and nice. 💜 thank you both!
Jin is the guy with the voice taking it to another level. Not Jimin in this song. At the beginning of the song, you said...I know who is singing now. It wasn't Jimin. It was Jin. He has a great voice range. Great falsetto. Can belt out notes. Guess what? He is the member who had never sung before. They got him into voice lessons and immediately told his teacher... " I can't sing". But he kept working with her and she discovered the most amazing voice. He finally believed he could sing and became her favorite student because he worked so hard. He still keeps in touch with her. Invites her to concerts. He Knows she changed his life. So. Now. Discover one of his best solo songs. He learned to play the piano for the song. Wrote the song. And inspires you with the lyrics. And amazes you with his beautiful voice. so Watch Jin's live performance of "Epiphany". Check b e l o w.
Magic Shop is so good, like many have mentioned. I'd like to add on Make It Right. Also, I Need U and RUN. If you guys react to Spring Day, make sure you watch the meaning of the song during the same reaction immediately after 😢
This is my first reaction by you two and I love it!! I really enjoyed your reaction style and I love the tidbits about other people that it reminded you of. I’ll definitely be checking out more bts reactions on your page!
What's amazing with BTS MVs is that majority of the shot is real props and locations. They will use effects if it's important to the story. For example, the dropping floor in the hallway is real not visual effects. They have a behind the scene video the Fake Love where they built it. Here's a link to the behind the scenes video with english subs. th-cam.com/video/JsoMuaewpZs/w-d-xo.html
I really like your reactions, we can see that you really love music and all the things related to it. I think you will going to like the most recent live performances, like "mic drop and run bts: yet to come show in busan" and "proof live" (this one is my personal favorite ever). Even "room festa" and "tiny desk concert" are good options, they are not that recent, but both are amazing 😊 Hope you receive a lot of love always.
Me gusta como reacionan a su contenido y más y ponen atención ala letra que es lo más importante de una música cada música tiene un mensaje para todo tipo de situaciones que pasamos nos dan aliento a seguir 😊

The behind the scenes making of this video is great- it shows how they did the effects (real, not CGI), like the floor falling behind JK.

I really appreciate how much you guys seem to be appreciating their talent!💜
thank you for your reaction💕 lit as always!
This song is from the album "Love Yourself: Tear", which is part of the trilogy Love Yourself, which has a great concept and narrative.
"Love Yourself: Tear" itself is phenomenal. There are a lot of favorites on this one, but I'll just mention the three standouts:
* "Outro: Tear" by the rapline, the live performance at Wembley.
Wow I really admire how y'all genuinely react and like their music, no matter the language it's in 😊
Don't know if anyone told you but when Jungkook is running the floor is really falling, they don't use green screen! Thanks for your reactions to the boys. 💜
Tks! This is the song in 2018 that threw me down the rabbit hole.
Thank you for your honest reaction

THIS IS THE SONG THAT GOT ME INTO BTS.
Extra points for the Nikki Giovanni reference.😊
Thank u
i'm really sorry i can never seem to catch the name of the guy on the left, with orange shirt. i just wanted to say i enjoy his thoughts so much. he'd be quiet and suddenly he'd be seeing many details and picks up on a lot. and tre's smiles everytime he's enjoying a particular part, i find it so genuine and nice. 💜 thank you both!
My fav song 💜🔥
Loving the bit you're singing along ❤ Song is so catchy
Lack of gender related pronounces makes Bts songs even more inclusive. People can relate to lyrics as they are.
And amazes you with his beautiful voice. so Watch Jin's live performance

Magic Shop is so good, like many have mentioned. I'd like to add on Make It Right. Also, I Need U and RUN. If you guys react to Spring Day, make sure you watch the meaning of the song during the same reaction immediately after 😢
7:17 wow
8:22 Jimins voice is angelic
This is my first reaction by you two and I love it!! I really enjoyed your reaction style and I love the tidbits about other people that it reminded you of. I’ll definitely be checking out more bts reactions on your page!
Thx there a lot on TH-cam and my Patreon is all bts content the link is in the description
I think you still have Suga and J-Hope confused. J-hope comes in right after RM first verse. Suga is sitting at the piano after RM's second verse
Did you guys count how many times Jungkook pulled his shirt up?? Everytime he does, we all scream! 🤣
The Cameras are Always Ready!!!
You should check out the behind the scenes if Fake Love. When it comes you BTS they don't use CGI as much it's all real

Minha música preferida
I really like your reactions, we can see that you really love music and all the things related to it.
I think you will going to like the most recent live performances, like "mic drop and run bts: yet to come show in busan" and "proof live" (this one is my personal favorite ever). Even "room festa" and "tiny desk concert" are good options, they are not that recent, but both are amazing 😊
Hope you receive a lot of love always.
Me gusta como reacionan a su contenido y más y ponen atención ala letra que es lo más importante de una música cada música tiene un mensaje para todo tipo de situaciones que pasamos nos dan aliento a seguir 😊
😝😍😘 THANK YOU!!! CUTIES!! YOU'RE THE BEST 💜💐😉
The crazy thing is. All of this was real. There wasn’t any cgi.
