- Welcome to my MCC Legendary Speedrun Guides! Today we're tackling "Floodgate" from Halo 3 (Master Chief Collection).
My goal with this series is to help everyone complete every Halo game on Legendary difficulty using the latest speedrunning tips and tricks. If you have any questions or I forgot to explain something in the video, please ask in the comments and I'll do my best to answer!

At first I thought I've already seen this video around the 1:45 mark, I was all "is this a re-upload?" then I was thinking I could see the future, until I realized I was thinking of your zero shot run :p
I remember being able to do out of map glitches in this mission saved a lot of time and it was also fun

i know I suck at speed runs but nailing my first par time achievement felt good. I followed a tiny bit of the video but i managed to get a good 6mins.I'm just an amateur to be honest.
This is helping a lot so please keep them coming. However, i still cant do that boost off the warthog into that room in halo 1 lol
***** The shield bump is pixel perfect to within 5 pixels but it's pretty simple once you nail it. Just record the clip on the game DVR and reference it when you practice. I nail it like 8/10 times first try at this point.

Currently on a binge watch re-run in 2021!
This is the only mission where I didn't feel threatened at all, my first easy heroic win.
Hoping to see the rest of this series soon... I've been enjoying MCC myself albeit at a much slower pace! I think you probably finished the entire Halo 1+2 campaigns in the time it took me to do "assault on Control Room" for the first time... (to be fair, I wasn't trying to go fast).
I think "idealize" is actually a verb but it means something else ;D

I hope we can expect the rest of the videos asap these videos are SUPER helpful with getting Par Time and hopefully soon me and my one friend can get the under 3 hours on Legendary achievements...Par Score will take a bit more practice but these videos are really helpful for the Par Time
You can actually get both par time and par score on all these missions, i watch and copy what he does, and if he does a trick i cant do, i just say fuck it, kill the enemies in that section and carry on :)
Conor Doherty I'm the same way if you do it quick enough you can just get the new updated par score it takes more to get the 25000 par score though

If you are going for a safe run instead of spead run you can jump on top of the big crates at 2:48 mark with nade jumps. you can then jump to the building on the right of when he hammers the flood at 2:55 mark. from there you walk up a small ramp to get to the roof and get out of the map. If you follow the wall along the edge you can jump right into the hole to into the ship and end the mission. Thats how I did it at least

Not necessary, that section is not very hard, plus nade jumps is very risky.

Could you try and make slower videos that talk us through some of the slightly more insane things you do? It wouldn't have to be a speed run, more of a little tutorial. I try to do a lot of these things when I play and always seem to mess it up somehow.

Yeah, it's not a cheat code. He tells you what to do, these are very easy tricks in this video. Anything you really feel you need explained further you can search for a more in depth breakdown of particular exploit elsewhere but I've never had to yet and I just need to practice my Gravemind speedrun a bit more to better acquaint myself with the strats in every engagement.
How come other people go flying with the gravity hammer but I don't? Makes no sense
When i did the speed run i just used the BR to kill everything. The only tricky bit for killing everything and moving at a quick pace is the final section because of the transforming forms.

At 2:50 you didn't use the trip mine to launch yourself across that entire part with a box jump.
2:09 says it's okay to use the nade because he'll get more *2 seconds later* he walks over the supplies and got nothing

Yo Naked Eli should stay more active, I think he would've gotten more subs maybe do like online gameplays or maybe halo 5 updates or beta. BTW still a subscriber and great video

Are your uploads getting slower because you put them up when you do them? Because I thought at the first of the series you said that you had recorded them all already
