Crystal water and gorgeous forest. Lovely episode. The underwater clips with the sunlight were amazing! I bet the water was cold! Hard to find a day to get out lately. It is important to protect our scenic pennsylvania. That stiff, grey moss you walked past is rare reindeer moss. It has a very specific habitat. Very cool to see. I will check out Darcy's channel! Thanks for sharing, Walter! Peace & Prayers.
Sorry I missed your comment Carol. Thanks for the info on the Reindeer moss, very interesting. It was nice going on the hike with Darcy. She is somewhat new to Pennsylvania hiking, we had a great time checking out this little preserve. Peace and prayers...
It was a nice find. There are a few other similar preserves in the area I will be checking out as well at some point. Will be that much nicer when all the foliage fills in too. I love my streamside walks!
Okay, I had a smile the whole time watching this because I was there and the day didn't look amazing at first, my face tells no lies, but the Sun came out to play and so did you!... It's so much fun hiking with another person trying to get "all the shots" but can laugh about it too! The Moss and the water shots were amazing Walter! I will Hike and Video any day with you, my friend!
I had a blast, after the initial nervousness I felt in the very beginning, I thought things went really well! We both have somewhat similiar filming styles and I liked the fact that we worked together in filming some of the shots - walkbys etc. Im glad the place had some interesting subject matter to shoot, and I think its important to remind people that sometimes smaller, lesser known spots, can have there own unique charm. See ya on the next one , Darcy!
The forests of the Pocono's in particular the beautiful crystal clear streams are something I find myself very much attracted to. Thanks brother, ROCK ON!
I would say that is the case with most people lol. Even Darcy said she would have blown right past it if she didn't notice a certain bright orange car on the side of the road. And my gps initially took me to the wrong spot, right into someones driveway on a one way really rough dirt road, haha.
Nice to see both of you collaborating on a video together. I had no idea the Poconos had so many exceptional value streams. Always learn something new from your videos. Great outtakes too.
Oh, absolutely gorgeous adventure Walter! The stream running through the forest was so soothing. I would make myself a coffee there and make b-roll shots for 4 hours ( at least)😄😄
I really want to get some shots with some fish and or other species. Hopefully when the weather warms up, I want to do a video just showing life in a creek or something like that...
Looks like a nice hike. I love the trails that follow a stream too. Those are my favorite kind. Especially if there’s a waterfall too. I enjoyed the outtakes. I usually try to include them too. People tend to really like them. 👍
Hey Craig just got done an epic little stream side ramble, ironically. Probably one of the most scenic stretches of stream in southeastern Pennsylvania. I added the outtakes because we genuinely had a lot of laughs and fun behind the scenes but also cause I felt the video lacked a little pop or whatever it is that makes a good vid. Generally speaking the more bland I feel the scenery or video is the more I try to gimmick it up
@@CraigKoppel most likely folks who are willing to watch a video all the way through are going to be your best supporters, so I agree with you they will like that. As creators we know how things are behind the scenes so we can relate from that aspect. I think it's just depends on the tone of the video and length of the video etc. Generally I enjoy them as well if they are executed well...
Ive put in so much time and hard work, it really takes alot behind the scenes, but if more people get to experience "nature, adventure, and discovery" and I can spread the positive message of the benefits and joys of getting outside, then it has all been worth it!
I could see myself catching some Pennsylvania Brook Trout in this stream! Another place I’ve never heard of, yet surprisingly beautiful. It’s good to see areas like this protected and preserved. Great hike, great video, and fun hiking partner!
I have friends, yeah, I know hard to believe, that have a hunting cabin in the Poconos that we visited for a weekend and they had a crystal clear raging stream flowing over a bed of water worn round rocks. It was magnificent! Just like the streams that you two observed. It truly is a beautiful area, and both of your videos framed the subject just right! Thanks for sharing!
The best thing about collaboration videos, is A) the behind the scenes stuff and B) getting to see the same hike through another persons perspective. It was really a surprisingly nice experience on this hike with Darcy, we were both alittle skeptical at first... Crystal clear mountain streams... You had me at hello! Even though no one actually said "hello"... well you get my drift!
Nice video! I am a direct Nothstein descendant and happy to see others who are unfamiliar visit the preserve. PS our last name is pronounced Note-stine.
Thanks so much for watching the video and taking the time to leave a comment! I really enjoyed the preserve there, it is a treasure and a blessing to the community, and thanks for letting me know the proper pronunciation.
I've heard of the cranberry bog and looked into it . I think it's only available to be toured at certain times and it's a guided tour which would make it hard to film, but probably would be very interesting...

Thank you for the underwater shots! ❤just beautiful!😊❤❤
Hopefully in the summer time when the water gets warmer, I want to film alot more under water shots and try to catch some fish and other aquatic life!
Bless you Debbie, thanks so much!!!
Lots of beautiful trout by adams camp!!!😊❤❤❤
I really appreciate nature more after watching your videos. Thanks so much!
Beautiful, the water is so clear and pristine area. Great find.

I enjoyed you showing the preserve! It's beautiful, and Cranberry Cteek is so nice. It's great to hear the rushing water as you hike.
There is no more soothing sound than that of a small mountain stream ... It relaxes the soul...
@@WALTERZOLNA I absolutely agree!
Nice hike, and your shots were fantastic. Really enjoyed watching and hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful Place
Thank you very much my friend 🙂.

Appreciate Walter n Darcy 🤙
And we appreciate you as well, thank you!
Yes, I like. My after breakfast, entertainment with coffee. Did you hear Cranberry Creek water music? Very soothing to start a day.
Thanks buddy, the sound of flowing water is one of my absolute favorites...

Definitely some nice fishing holes in that stream... I think I'm going to get my license this year!
As always, an enjoyable and informative hiking video.
Seeing two of my favorite local TH-camrs together made it doubly fun to watch. 😉
Thanks for that! It was fun to go for a hike with Darcy. It's a nice little place...
Great video always cool to watch TH-camrs work together always makes the video even better and having so fun with the bloopers .😎
So this was filmed the morning after I went out for St. Patrick's Day celebration, so yea there were many bloopers, lol 😆

Ever check out the Cranberry Bog??
Really cool place in Tannersville. Maybe not video-worthy but neat!!
Maybe it connects with the cranberry stream
