Thank you for stopping to pray for the people in a hard situation after hearing the sirens. We used to live a few blocks from a hospital and helicopters came in daily, often more than once. We said prayers also for all involved. Also, your bleeding hearts are so beautiful! Mine is so small although it is still early here in zone 4 Minnesota. Do you use a regular fertilizer or compost on second year perennials? I know I've seen you use Happy Frog at planting, so just curious if I should do that at this point.

I was going to ask how you keep track of where everything is planted. I would put plant markers but one of my dogs thinks its funny to remove those as well as removing my solar lights and chewing the bottoms off of them. I love your gardens.
Yes I have a question I live in Michigan also and last week we had a hard frost One of my favorite hosts June was up and leafed out quite a bit but the frost got them Now many of their leaves are mush What should I do Should I cut those leaves off Are they doomed to die

Just in case you or other viewers are interested some bleeding heart are native which is much better for our pollinators and other insects. Many are non native. The Latin name is the only way to tell. For most of what is in nurseries Dicentra formosa, is the native bleeding heart, Dicentra spectabilis and its cultivars, is not native.
