    I just picked up one yesterday and I was able to snag a open box that was perfect at $434. Only had it a day but so far I am really digging it. I have to be fully transparent but I have always had a soft spot for Moto devices. Thanks again for covering this device.

    I bought mine back in August at my local Best Buy. Paid $699 at that time so $300 off which I thought was a good deal. Great phone! I have no issues with it other than the kind of short OS updates & bi-monthly security updates. But that's Motorola.

    I went out and bought one for $499. Nice phone. Great refresh rate. Buttery smooth. However, many carriers only support 4G VOLTE. Can’t use the 5g. Returning to Best Buy. The display was too dim outside. Does anyone know if the Fusion 30 is brighter outside ? Maybe they cut the value in half because it’s basically a 4G phone.

    • @hurrycanger
      @hurrycanger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same here, I got the 7 Pro and within 2 week it froze up once and it wasn't just freezing up for a sec; it froze up completely for 5 minutes until I decided I couldn't wait anymore and forced restart it.
      No phone froze up on me like that in the past 5 years as far as I can remember. And it's slower than other phones for real. I actually did some app launch tests vs the 6 Pro and the majority of popular apps launch faster on the 6 Pro, consistently.
      With that said, the 7 Pro feels very smooth and overall still a very nice phone to use. But if you could return it and get a comparable phone for much cheaper, it makes perfect sense to me.
      Camera quality is likely worse on the Moto Edge+ thou so make sure camera quality is not your top priority.

    • @davidpeterson5647
      @davidpeterson5647 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the $50 price difference worth it? I’ve been on the fence about wanting the Fusion 30 vs the Edge Plus 2022. Coming from the Edge (not Plus) 2020 model, I’ve gotten used to the Edge Display design (I’m odd, I know) because it has made swipe gestures easier to use. The Edge Plus 2022 model not having that kind of panel, plus some bits like plastic rails, some inconsistencies in performance from other users and confusion on whether it’s the 8 GB or the 12 GB model, has made me pause from getting it. Also, the Fusion 30 does seem a more novel design with older internal specs. Of course, I’m also weighing waiting until Prime Day in July and seeing what the Edge Plus 2023 will be priced at and maybe I’m just overthinking this whole bit? What do you think about my thoughts on this?

    Pros: it's cheaper, the pixel 7 pro 256gb model doesn't really seem exist (currently), the charging speed is great (125 watt charger included in the box!) and the battery life on the Motorola is also supposed to be great

    I bought it when it was new (Euro version Edge 30 pro). I don't agree with only 1 statement - it's too much to ask for a Motorola? Why do we go for the model pay 30% more only because of the brand, because it's a Samsung or iPhone! Does it have the same hardware for less, it does. So as a person who paid the "big" money when it was the newest, I can say for 10 months use hard every day, I use it often as a laptop connect to my monitor with HDMI, it has been great even as a PC with Ready For(like Samsung dex) my previous phone was mid tier Moto Power and it was great with the longest lasting battery I have ever seen for dirt cheap and that's how I went to the expensive Moto- they earned it(this battery is decent, but can't compare with the Moto G8P ower from 2020, it's too powerful)

    As an android user since the days of touchwiz I was interested in this phone and still am. I might still get it to experiment with it.
    But I also want the best of the best so I got the S22 Ultra instead. 1 Terabyte too 😈 moto edge+ is only 512. The S22 also has better camera.
    And I loved the live wallpaper the s22 had. The one that was featured in the unveil video. That's what I want to see everytime I open the phone.

      It is 512GB. Don't confuse it with the Verizon UW version. Look up Edge plus 2022, not 2021. They should've named this better

    It's a shame you're recommending Motorola phones, which are historically not supported well. You sure you want to do this?

    • @TechOdyssey
      @TechOdyssey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Did you watch the video? It gets two OS updates and 3 years of security patches. At $499 for a flagship level phone, I think it’s fair.

      @@TechOdyssey with all due respect, Motorola is the garbage bin of cell phone brands. No matter how high the specs, never recommended by tech reviewers and consumers alike.

      @@jdnorton22 I disagree with this completely. I have used several Motorola phones in the past year. and I've been testing this one for the past week. The important factor here is the price and performance. This is not a competitive phone at $999. At $499, three years of support, good hardware, and big battery + big screen, plus it's unlocked and doesn't require any trade ins. It's a good phone at the right price. It was worth it at $599 when I bought mine, and it's definitely worth it at $499. I'm sure most "tech reviewers" would agree that it's not worth it at $999. But they also don't come back and reevaluate it at these prices. Brand new, warranty intact, flagship hardware. It's a great alternative for folks looking for good performance and great value, and especially those who still like Moto phones.
