Thanks for continuing to upload these awesome Olympic vids! The closing credits of the Olympic Games are always great to see. It sums up everything very well.
Wonderful closing credits to one of the best Olympics ever. I have such fond memories of these Games ... they took place during a very pivotal time in my life, and as such--stupid as it sounds--these Games hold a very special place in my heart.
The mens hockey team did trash their hotel rooms, but that was in 98 in Nagano. No excuse for that garbage, but as for how Pro Athlets carry themselves in the Olympics, hockey players are generally considered some of the best. Aside from 98, there have been many stories of Canadian, US and other NHL players being some of the most charitable and excessable to the public pro athlets at the games (summer and winter). In 02 Jerome Iginla put 4 random people up in a hotel that were staying in a car.
thx for posting this vid, julius923. the closing credits of nbc's coverage of the olympics are one the things i look forward to whenever the games are on. their choice of music--from "remember the titans"--really goes well with all the footages they're able to edit together. this is the greatest. oh by the way, julius923, if you have the closing credits from the 2004 and 2008 summer games and from the recent 2010 winter games, please upload them soon. that'd be great. once again thx.
I'm glad NBC switched over to this soundtrack "Titans Spirit" in 2002 instead of continuing with "Ode to Joy" (1996 & 2000)... fits the theme of sports much better...
These were the first olympics to be taped after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. However, the way that the end credits you see here, they tell a whole new meaning. I really like these credits.
And you also know that it was the former home of Jeopardy! juggernaut Ken Jennings who went on to win 74 games and $2.5 million. He now lives in Seattle. Anyway..the closing credits here were just as good as the ones from 2006..and a little better than the 1996 closing. Instead of just music, you actually get clips of the action and play-by-play at the Games.
Those Olympics where amazing I was glad team Canada figure skaters got the gold medal after an error that was terrible they should have been champions all along.
They don't even show Bjorndalen in this... He was only the most successful athlete of these games...(4 golds)!!! In fact NBC just about ignored him in their coverage... it was their first winter olympics and I think they were too focused on the ra-ra USA theme... they've toned it down over the years thankfully and Vancouver was pretty balanced...
so true, Salt Lake olympics were the best ever, and Torino's just sucked. Vancouver has already failed miserably, they barely have enough snow, the snow they get is wet and slow, they messed up in the olympic ceremonies, they messed up with the ice, everytime it snows during an event it ruins it because the snow is so wet it slows the remaining oponents down. Vancouver isn't going to be seeing the olympics ever again. Salt Lake City #1
I always love the ending montages they play after the olympics are over!!
im so happy i was and am living in utah when that happend it was so amazing
God, I loved the Salt Lake Games. Thank you so much for posting this.
This is my favorite 5 minutes in television history.
By far the best winter games ever
Salt Lake was a damn good Olympics. Thanks so much for posting this! (And brownie points to NBC for using "Titans Spirit" twice now!)
Without question.
I don't cry much about sports, but I shed a tear or two watching this montage in 2002.

The magic will return. 32 years on. I’ll get my second Winter Olympics.

Has anyone found the closing credits for this years Olympics on youtube? I can't find it
@Aaraonn I believe this is Chris Witty.
its on the Remember The Titans soundtrack
2004 is missing but I think Beijing was the 4th time. 2006 (Torino) also used it. See "Related videos" for 2006.
I went to a few events it was fun ^.^
Chills every time at 4:36
I'll admit it, the last 45 seconds actually got to me.....
Whoops, CBC, is Canadian. Only one American Network per Olympics.
Does anyone know what theme is used for this video?
do you know the name of this music that was used? trevor rabin is a great clue, could you help me narrow it down, i would be greatful, thanks.
SEE YOU IN TORINO 2006!!!
Only one network per Olympics.
Titans Spirit
its the remember the titans theme
i was only 7 at the time and i believe that the olympics truly rebounded america after 911
At 4:23. who's that woman?

And to think that the Torino games slogan was Passion lives here, what a cop-out.
@sergeantmiller12
Yeah, I remember they pre-empted it and showed a sucky dating show staring Madonna that was canceled in no time. lol.
Amen to that. Torino games were so boring.
3:15 OMFG!! WTH?

are you kidding me??
Is that a bad thing to do? Trash a hotel room? Rockstars trash them all the time!
Bob Costas and his mortician makeup.
I hate 2006 torino
