      Maria Maria Psychopaths and Sociopaths who commit these crimes almost always have a sexual component that stems to childhood, usually (again almost always) from the mother of the male. This is so so important to understand as most Psychopaths are not murderers. But the traits such as prone to violence, lack of empathy and remorse, narcissism, etc combined with early childhood abuse is a lethal cocktail. This info is important at least in my eyes, to understand the why and how, so we can do a better job protecting each other.

      It's a mix of things. People like this are usually predisposed, whether genetically or neurologically, to act out violently towards others. Abuse as a child can push them over the edge, this is the case with many serial murderers.

    • @doyltruddy902
      @doyltruddy902 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Not everyone has the same predispositions to become a serial killer. if you have the right predispositions and youre pushed early in life with a horrible childhood, then you end up with a serial killer.
      What you are failing to understand is that the horrible childhood experiences aewnt what directly cause someone to become a serial killer. There are people that are predisposed to becoming a serial killer if given the right push, and Anthony Sowell is one of these people.
      If he had a betrer childhood maybe this wouldn't have happened. So I don't think you should body about how you didn't become a serial killer due to your traumatic childhood, because you do not have the predispositions to become a serial killer.
      Anthony Sowell could very well had live a normal life if his childhood trauma didn't happen. Not everyone is the same man, some people have more fragile mental states.. and they become auicidal, homicidal, etc from certain experience.
      Would you be here bragging how your childhood trauma didn't result in you committing suicide if someone else did commit suicide from their childhood trauma? it's the same exact thing. Some people are more predisposed to commuting suicide than others as a result of the very same traumatic experiences. There are people out there with much more fragile mental states than you that can't cope with the things you have, and they end up suicidal or worse, homicidal.
      Please take what I said seriously and reconsider your stances. I'm glad you are strong enough to overcome your trauma, but not everyone is that strong. Anthony Sowell may very well have led a normal life if these traumatic experience didn't push his already fragile mental state over the top into serial killer territory. Hope what I'M saying makes sense

      He started raping his niece on a regular basis when he was 10 years old. A woman came forward and stated that he raped her during the 1970s when he was in the marine corp but it went unreported until now. Even though he was a registered sex offender, he got away with 4 more reported rapes after he got out of prison before the 11 bodies were discovered. Most likely more murder victims will be connected to him in the future. He was always a monster.

      +Lisa Dismuke, He's a _narcopath_. That is just a little word my favorite Professor calls pathological narcisissts + sociopaths. It's a little easier than saying _malignant narcisisst and psychopath_. Now what *is* very common in the black community is pathological narcisissm and this runs especially high with the sistas. Pathological or malignant narcisissts should never ever have children because they are the mose toxic people on earth and they're far too selfish to successfully handle the role of the most selfLESS job there is, *PARENTHOOD!* Well, its supposed to be selfLESS anyways.
      I'm not sure if genuine psychopathic genetics were passed on to Sowell, but I have absolutly zero doubt that he is a product of his own enviornment which would make him a sociopath for sure. Regardless of his upbringing and any tradegys he suffered as a child, or teen, in in no way excuses him of his actions. Of course you can never ever ever convince a pathological-malignant-psychopathic-narcisisst like Sowell of that because Cluster B personalitys like him _never_ think they're wrong, always think the rules dont apply to them, and that it's everybody else who is wrong and who has wronged them! I guarantee you that Sowell regards himself as the victim, not the perp. Thats typical for a Cluster B.

I think Anthony Sowell is responsible for more killings from years before this and maybe he stopped for years and tried to keep it to himself and get his sht together but relapsed and this is the result. this dude was S I C K & twisted. he suffered a criminal insanity because his wires were crossed not because of his childhood. no childhood is a picnic so you can't blame it on that.

    Is he guilty? Yes. But, people commenting need to stop saying certain particular things ... Yes, some people have gone through the same thing Anthony has (and his sisters), as in abuse as a child and what not, just plain horrible treatment as a kid and have your innocence taken away very young, and that may be fine for --you-- later on in life, but not all people cope the same way. Treatments like this, some people later in life find motivation from it to strive and better themselves and be better parents then their parent's were. Other people turn into ... well, this (serial killer) or abusive parents themselves or whatever. It happens. Not everyone acts/lashes out in the same way. Just because you didn't doesn't mean someone else wont. Your own overcomance doesn't justify someone else's. That's all. With that being said, he is guilty, a serial killer, and deserves punishment, but he also seems like a level headed guy and I believe that he wasn't born to kill, and that if he had a normal childhood he would be a different man today. Just my thoughts. I could be wrong, but my opinion.

      @@latoyarainperson For True wasn't it though. I was really saddened by the two siblings (older brother & little sister) that had to eat the peanut butter for breakfast, lunch & dinner daily. And when he said he spoke w/his Mom the day before Mothers Day and that was the last he'd heard from her. He was a strong young man.

      I hope they were one of the family members that were entitled to that money even though that's not going to bring their mother back but help them with the extreme healing process ...I wanna know when he gets the chair ... Not NO DAM APPEAL!

    iirc, his siblings never corroborated his account of being physically abused by his mother. however, he did show signs that he may have been sexually abused (smearing feces on a little doll, acting out sexually inappropriate behavior with his sister and cousin) and pointed the finger at some unspecified female adult. i get the feeling hearing his testimony (sleeping on the bed when his mother came up to whip him) that his mother actually molested him. but it’s understandably too difficult/painful to express. i feel for his victims and their family, but man, what a brutal, deprived childhood…

    With serial killers it is nature And nurture. It is the abuse and the lack of love and proper rearing that make them "Monsters", but at some point in their adult life they gave themselves permission to hurt others to make themselves feel better, at some point it became a choice to act on their rage. Kind of like a school shooter who got bullied, its the same thing, only the bully was the parent or whoever inflicted the abuse. They dont want to be the weak victim anymore so they become the aggressor to feel more powerful. I went thru every abuse imaginable as a child from 4 different relative's, both grandparents my mom and my middle brother. I was sexually physically and emotionally abused, I was basically my families punching bag. I also had to watch and listen to my mother getting beaten and abused by multiple boyfriends. All I saw or knew was blood and violence. Of course that's going to damage a childs brain. Growing up I Definitely had thoughts of hurting people, Especially my family. I had many many dark thought's. It took years of anger management, therapy, medications and the desire to not be that person for me to get to be the better adjusted adult that I am today. But I was one of the strong ones. Before their first victim they were one decision away from being strong enough to not go the way they did and he made the wrong decision and kept making it over and over. His crimes are despicable yes, but a bad childhood is not an excuse, it is part of the reason he is who he is and he didn't ask to be that way.
