I spent 14 Months before I retired this last May, working in one of those Tyvek suits (or more substantial plastic bag ones) an average of 3 days a week, servicing and repairing Laundry and Sluice room equipment in care homes under Covid control rules. We do not yet get the heat that you suffer in the summer, you, Jeff and your Family are Heroes Ross. I got paid for it, you are paying to do it!
You’ve got some pretty hilarious friends there Ross, the catheter comment had me laughing so hard!!! Awesome work there, I can’t believe you’re just about finished! Oh man, I hadn’t realized how much work there is still to do inside the boat, massive jobs, guess we will be seeing that soon enough! Thanks so much for the wonderful episode!
Hi Ross thanks for the Video. It is so nice to have Friends to help you Out. I Bet if We did not Have China Virus in the World you would have so much Help the Cat would Be Done. I am finding that Sailing People are so Helpful. Peace be with You and Wifely. PS make sure she has a lot of Closet space
In my house we just finished all the interior doors. Yes on my last door( hot water closet ) .... I did not double check my numbers .....and made a bad cut. Sheet happens.
Cheers to Jeff. You definitely work well together. What an accomplishment to get the deck done! I can’t wrap my head around the process of fitting it to the hull. That episode is going to be epic…. 👍👍
Sorry I'm late . Seriously Coffee cup! Remind me if I ever go to visit you to bring my own coffee cup. You must be delighted to have the laminating completed on the deck
Hah.I always have a couple of take away cups mate on hand. Can save some serious distress and hoards of time .Almost done, forgot about the rear lounge suite and the demouldung mounts.
I love that you really seem to pick your music Ross. most channels I watch, the content is great but the music is gawd aweful! Thanks for this detail that makes watching your progress so much more enjoyable. Very excited to see the de-moulding in a few weeks. Cheers!
When you were working on the chain plate, I heard "strengthen this area for human trafficking's". Needless to say, you got my undivided attention, lol.
Will likely support the deck at a given height with the ability to raise and lower with jacks to ascertain the exact heights of the bulkheads and instecting partitions. Will be a bit of a process . Ross
"There's no way anyone should be laminating without a mask on. I just see people doing it all the time." -- There are a number of sailing channels I've watched where they're deep in the engine room 'glassing in an engine mount without a mask at all. I think it's crazy. I recall a similar problem with the builder of Slash's Les Paul replica for the Appetite For Destruction album. Kris Derrig used to just spray up the guitars he built with nitrocellulose lacquer right in his house without even using a mask. It didn't take many years of that before it killed him.
Always good to have mates you can count on! Rossco, could you have just cut a 30 mm strip of foam to place in the gap created where you had to cut off the bevel? Or did it need to be a one piece item? Thanks for sharing!
Gidday Daniel.Could have slipped a slivers foam in but was so close to where I needed it I defaulted to having more glass on glass for better tie in to the underlying substrate. Cheers Ross
Will you be able to pre-finish any portion of the deck’s inside roof surface while it is in it’s current position and before flipping over? Just thinking that spraying whatever product would be easier on a horizontal flat surface.
1 mistake is all that you made on the top half. Take that any time , me I would have made a lot more than that. But that is why you get paid the big money for this and not me.......lol great video
Hi Ross, Those hatches are built like tanks ! You were showing the chain trough, do you think you could use this on the front to clean chain before it's on deck with all the mud etc ? See : raindogps34.wordpress.com/2014/01/07/the-chain-scrubber/ I have an impovement to add to this, the threaded holes for pole mounting could be used to actually fix this to the foredeck, projecting out and downward from a pair of sockets on deck... or that UHMW plastic base you mentioned. The 3rd (middle) brush could have a washdown hose tapped into that pole mounting hole for a garden hose fitting to flood the brushes while scrubbing.
Nice music. Not sure about the rest of the content this week though. Bring back Janet and Johnny.
Great effort Jeff,so happy for your help.
Great work Jeff, what a trooper to suit up and jump in to help Rosco 👍👍
Sometimes it's just nice to have someone there with you.

Looking great Rosco. And Jeff is a legend for helping out. Hope the Covid lockdown doesn't upset your demoulding schedule. Onwards ans seawards buddy.
Thanks Jimmy.Could indeed be a problem.Glad you got your break in Glen Alice.
If I ever get the stupid idea to build a boat remind me to come back and watch this haha.
Nothing like sharing the fun with a mate! 👍
Greate video Ross
and nice to see you guys have some fun at the same time ;-)
All the best to you guys.
Top man Rossco, you’re still a bloody lunatic, but your motivation and enthusiasm is faultless. Keep it going.
All good Andy, love every day at work, cheers Ross

Great light hearted banter as usual Rossco. I'm enjoying every episode. Keep it up.
Cheers Pete, love having a bit of workplace chat, great fun. Ross
Good friends are the mark of a good person. Well done both of you.
So nice to have company that actually gets work done, however "boring" it may seem, its all important to the final product. Thanks for the video
Man I can't wait to see you pop the top half out of the mold and flip it over... That's gonna be an amazing video...

Friends are good to have. The more you have, the more can exploit you! i am lucky that way ,
In my house we just finished all the interior doors. Yes on my last door( hot water closet ) .... I did not double check my numbers .....and made a bad cut. Sheet happens.

Certainly going to be a logistical nightmare. Ross
Eagle-eye time-lapse with appropriate psychedelic funk backing. Love it :-)
Great bunch of friends you've got there. Nice high-quality work as always!
Enjoy watching you working your ass off. Building from a mold , thats 2 thumbs up, good job
Nice to have a good mate to help out a bit and pass the time. Waiting for the de molding and flip for sure!
Another great episode! Looking forward to the de-moulding. Should be .... fun ... at least from the spectator's point of view!

Seriously Coffee cup!

Great stuff you're nearly there.

Another great video. Please keep it up and take care not mess your back up.
Looking great, so looking forward to the rest of your build and then the sailing

I’m gagging to see the deck and hull together, awesome work👏👏
Thanks Tony
I can’t wait to see this boat on the water
Nice work and substantial progress. A real force multiplier to have another pair of willing and savvy hands on site - as well as the camaraderie.😀👍⛵️
Thanks Norman. So good to have Jeff along. He is a very enthusiastic worker and shares a great work ethic.Ross.

Great episode Professor Ross! Awesome progress! Nice to see a sneak of inside the Hulls progress too! Well done sir!
Great stuff Jeremy, appreciate the comment. Ross
What a labor of love. Good on ya!
When you were working on the chain plate, I heard "strengthen this area for human trafficking's". Needless to say, you got my undivided attention, lol.
Jeff is the best!
Sounds to ME as thou you had a lot of FUN but then l luv the creative process....not for everyone thou...luv it
My! What tenacity!
too true, got to do it right, don't need short cuts like the apartments here in sydney, look what happend to them and your'll be on the water !
Takes a big man to admit to mistakes like that on camera. A simple lapse of concentration perfectly dealt with and onwards to the end result.
Foam bevel: you choked on the gravy stroke😁
Good episode(s) Ross
Just catching up as we have escaped the lockdown to where you were supposed to be.🏝
Well done mate.Wush we were there. We are locked down now in JB as of tonight.Ross

Nice video Ross

Great work guys
Thanks Martin
Those hatches will be tanks. He level of detail your whole catamaran is stiletto heal proof.
A Blue footed Bubby!
Indeed
Can't wait for the deck lift and flip, are you going to install some guide pins for alignment?
Will likely support the deck at a given height with the ability to raise and lower with jacks to ascertain the exact heights of the bulkheads and instecting partitions. Will be a bit of a process . Ross

With some epoxy, you can...
Been there and done that on the last piece of trim, knowing you are low on material and on your last cut you cope the wrong end.
So easy to do.So glad to know I am not the only one.
Always good to have mates you can count on!

I hope Johnny's supervisory skills are at mates rates too.
He is very expensive.Love our Johnny.
I would come and help Ross, but in UK, and would rather watch you whilst sitting a beer 🤣😂🤣. No but seriously I would help is I was nr you. 👍🏼
There was Ross and Jeff working. And then there was that one bum just laying some bad jokes obviously. 😁 But sure there has to be always that one.
Exactly ,he was standing back giving advice, so funny.Cheers Rossco

TPS is like furniture disease. That's where your chest sinks into your drawers.
how much do you save building as oppose to buying? including labour?
a few hundred thousand
Rossco, it's called Dunlops Disease, when your belly done lopped over your belt! Been suffering for years now! 🤭
Why no knee pad or kneeling pad?
Doesn't dirt just become part of the boat after epoxy?
1 mistake is all that you made on the top half. Take that any time , me I would have made a lot more than that. But that is why you get paid the big money for this and not me.......lol great video

Your Supervisor Johnny should be retrained....standing around without PPE, bastard😅
@14:00 high as a kite.
Me thinks so.
Yep
Mmhm
Do I have to wait to the end to comment! Well anyway nice shitter.
Classic.Did I catch you having a break mate.
@@LifeOnTheHulls in for a coffee while waiting for some poly to dry on a project.
The bloke in the white suit, did twice as much as the other bloke! 🤨
