I would consider using it but here are my thoughts- why does every company have to turn software into RMR (reoccurring monthly revenue)? Can you just buy the software and avoid any other fees? Another issue- does it allow you to save your files to an external drive? I would want to use my own hard drive space vs using apples paid stoarage.
Those are some really great thoughts. Final Cut Pro has been an app that has never had a subscription fee. It’s always just been a one time cost. This is the first time that it’ll have a subscription. Many have said that Final Cut has fallen behind in features and isn’t being developed or updated as often as it should be. So there are some saying that if we want more feature updates that the subscription fee may help them do that. I am not sure. I don’t like subscriptions either but I do really like new features especially now with all the new cutting edge AI options that are changing the game. When it comes to external hard drive support, as of now it won’t support editing from external hard drives. Even though the iPad does support external hard drives. I hope that this is something that they change and add quickly. It’s less about paid Apple storage in this case and more about local memory on iPad. I hope they add external drive support quick.
