Easily the most underrated city in Miami. It’s relaxed, luxurious and safe. I much prefer it to Brickell and going for walks down Miracle Mile and the shops at Merrick Park never gets old
I stayed in Coral Gables 2 weeks, few years ago & just felt in love with this neighborhood 😍 The tree line streets are just marvelous ! Very relaxing & fancy too. Coral Gables is definitely a place I can see myself live 🥰 Thanks Angie for that quality and agreable video 👍🏽 Keep doing that good work
Love Coral Gables, my last stay in Miami was there and my next will be there too. Me and my family enjoyed walking along Miracle Mile and also driving over to nearby Coconut Grove.
I live in Cuba, been twice to Miami on vacation,to Coral Gables where my brother used to rent an efficiency,he would drive me around these magnificent sites that bring back such nice memories..l would walk up to 3 miles enjoying the scenery, especially the oak-shaded avenues tha squirrels call home, then, back for a snack at Aldi,Publix..or a "colada" on Flagler st...l can't wait to stroll these streets again. Long live America!!! Down with communism!!
Interesting video, does the free trolley just go along Ponce de Leon Boulevard? I’m coming to Miami in a few weeks on the Brightline train from Orlando !!!
How is Coral Gables compared to Coconut Grove and what would you say the major differences are? If someone were to work in the downtown area, would the commute be a headache over many years?
Hey! Coral Gables feels more manicured than Coconut Grove. The Grove is much more bohemian, it's right on the bay, but it also has it's very upscale high-rises, single family homes, etc., so there's more of a mix. The Gables though, in general, is more tidy and manicured. The distance to Downtown is pretty similar from both locations. Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
How’s the public transit in general in Coral Gables and surrounding areas? I heard that public transit is pretty bad in Miami, and I’m surprised to see a trolley running in Coral Gables.
Honestly, it's not the best compared to other metro cities, but yes - there is a free trolley in Coral Gables and there's also the Metrorail and Metrobus with many locations and stops throughout Miami.
I’m taking the Brightline train from Orlando to Miami and then the Metro rail and trolley to Coral Gables and other areas and exploring some historical sites such as museums and beautiful areas like Coral Gables. And I don’t need to spend money on renting a car or high stress traffic driving.
I’m definitely not saying they look exactly the same because they don’t, but something about Coral Gables always reminded me of Beverly Hills (the flat part of course lol), but at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price tag of course. I think the two areas actually do have a lot of similarities though when you really think about it.
I've never been to Beverly Hills, but from what I've seen of it, I can totally see what you're saying... and agree about only the flat parts lol. Good eye! 😊
@@AngieMBlanco yes Uber eats refunded my money back bc I called the restaurant and they said they put the drink in the order so it wasn’t their fault.I think the cubana got thirsty while driving.

I've live in south Florida my whole life and I have never once heard anyone call it "the gables"
Oh, really? Well yep, it's commonly referred to as The Gables.
It was common when I lived there..🤷♂️
@@trooper1972yeah, I’m not from there but my mom lived there from the 70’s to mid 90’s, and she said it was always called the Gables.

@@AngieMBlanco OK. Thank you.
Angie I got scammed at Coral Gables by a Uber eats driver she drank my mamey milkshake I ordered from Havana Harris restaurant, the driver was Cuban.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope Uber Eats was able to make it right. I would be so sad... mamey is my favorite.

Hey Keith, thanks for watching. Would you suggest less edits on the video?
Coral Gables is a nice area but too many restrictions the city wants to fine home owners for nothing which makes it a not so good place to live
Yes, it's a beautiful area
