The Production Team of Mister and Misses T - absolutely top notch work! You’re just getting better and better! Great multiple camera angles and lighting, showing every single little detail so your viewers can really see and understand how to do things. Thanks SO much! Not so crazy about all the channel plugs interspersed throughout, but I guess I can put up with all that to be able to watch your videos and learn. 😉🔧👍
Your videos are well produced and entertaining. Most importantly they are chock full of excellent technical information from one of the best small engine mechanics on you tube.
Thanks T-Bone for all the videos. Very enjoyable. My neighbor's father just passed away and she wants me to replace the gear on a 2009 Simplicity starter. I have no idea how to do it but I'm going to give it a try.
One huge plus from watching this video. Seeing the mats the repairman was lying on during the repair turned out to be a great idea. I had been laying on concrete to work on my mower. I had some rubber floor mats from Harbor Freight and tried them similar to the man in the video. The mats worked great. Thanks for the idea.
Thank you for putting these very educational videos together for us to enjoy, always looking to learn something and these definitely do it for me. You could easily be a teacher or professor at a shop class, because you capture the audience with your detail & patience!
Interesting, and informative. Extremely helpful. I have worked on a few mowers, and lots of small engines, never had to work on a John Deere, or other make of mower with the cable operated blades. If I do in the future, I will know how to do it. Great job Sir! Thank you and your wife , she is great at being your camera lady! 😊
One of the best explainers I've seen produced. Great camera angles and lighting, top and bottom, all the little reminders and tips along the way. Great job.
I've got a video suggestion, if you don't mind! How do you go about finding the correct parts for each machine? I know you use part's tree. But I can never seem to get the right things ordered. So I spend all my time waiting for parts, just for them to be wrong! I'm not a small engine repair shop, or a mechanic at all! I'm learning, from your videos. But, yeah.. a video regarding how you know part numbers and what to order would be really helpful! Thank you T-Bone!
Thank you, that's a great question and a complicated one to answer. I have many sources for parts, yes I'm a licensed dealer. Many parts are easy to look up on parts tree using model number, date of manufacturer and serial number. When it comes to John Deere I go to green parts store for the number. AYP craftsman I use sears parts direct. There are way too many to list. I then use the OEM part number and go to Rotary Corp. or Stens and look it up there because I'm a dealer for them. I've been thinking on a video for your idea, great suggestion my friend, Thank you
@RaleysSmallEngines Thank you Tbone! I just finished binge watching all of your videos lol I love your attitude and energy. How you say and do things. I got some Tbone merch on my Christmas list =p
Good job T-Bone. Hey something you might want to cover is on that mower leveling the deck I use to have to go out to customers homes and level those decks and when they saw how easy it was they were a little embarrassed because all I would do was lower the back of the deck down on a 2x4 then loosen the nuts on the deck hanger then it would honestly level its self then tighten the nuts back up raise the deck and remove the 2x4 and wallah you have a level deck. It was so simple that most of the time I never had to return to those customers homes to level a deck again they would do their own because it was so simple.
Your video was exactly as you showed & I fixed it myself!!! Thank you so much T-Bone for taking the time to make your videos it's much appreciated by this gurl 😁😁😁
Out of all the troubleshooting videos I had watched, this one was the only one that helped. The first weekend where it didn't rain in like a month and my PTO stopped working 80% of the way through cutting the yard. I thought the top have of my yard was gunna be allowed to grow to 2ft tall. Thanks to this video, I was back up and cutting in about 10 minutes. Would have been sooner if I didn't have to hunt for my 10mm.
Yep, this is exactly the information I needed, and T-Bone checked every box through the whole process. The guy's so good that I'm almost tempted to check out T-Bone After Hours!
@chopsjazz1 thank you. Yes check out T-bone After Hours. New content coming soon on that channel. We are about to film and release a plumbing video, a camper awning video and a Ghost Controls Gate opener video.
Thank you Sir from Australia. I just successfully changed the cable on our John Deere E110. The actual cable changing was fairly quick, it was finding a little nut that I dropped off that long bolt where the top end of cable that took the time.Happy Christmas to you.
This video was excellent or "eggcellent" 😂 if you prefer my good man, I have a JDS 120, followed your video step by step, and the mower works like a charm. Thank you, sir! Keep up the good work!
I had to replace a small pin that went through the crank handle at the bottom, which connected the handle to that wire you show. It was a 6 hour repair bc i couldn't troubleshoot it without taking a bunch of stuff apart. But it would be a 5 minute repair if I did it again.
Thanks for another great helpful jd video, in your opinion do you think both big box stores and dealer jd are made with the same quality besides the service that a dealer can provide I get do you think one is better than the other? Thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting. Our hourly rate is $91 per hour, we are in South Carolina and I have the lowest rates in town. Everyone else is over $100 per hour other than shade tree shops with no license. This job, I charged $35.85 for the cable plus 8% tax and Labor was $36.40 for a total of $75.12. Plus we did a service and blades on this machine. Of course that was addtional charges.
@@RaleysSmallEngines well I’ve subscribed to you the first time I seen one of your videos. You are a very knowledgeable and well spoken and you do great camera work keep it up I love watching. Jim
T-Bone, my blades have started to engage part of the time, so I have to engage and disengage the lever several times. I noticed on another video where it mentions a blade PTO clutch. I'm guessing that may be my problem....🤔
So lved d105 engadge replacement however sloppy belt and no way I can see to tension other than replace with stronger tension spring that attaches to deck from pulley idler or up by engage arm as I did not there a screw that's holds the arm in place underneath ?
I replaced the PTO and ur video is great !! After installing the new cable my blades still won't engage. It feels like it does but the blades aren't spinning. Whats the next step?😊
Hey you explain things so well and I like your voice so I was wondering if you know why the blades won't engage on a K Series 9 HP? And/or how to change out the blade on that model?
Well I hit a tree root and while still on top that root I disengaged the mower blades. The blades quickly came to a stop. I drove forward and tried to re engage the blades, Nothing! I have checked the cable at both ends and it is still in tact. I have checked the main drive belt and mower deck belt and they are good and still on the pulleys. What else could it be?
@@Mrs.T-bone Everything has been checked. Belts and pulleys, Intact. Cable, not broken. Blades not bent and spin freely. I took pictures of everything along with a video but I dont see where I can upload these pictures and video.
Hey TBone, that big spring just literally the most pain in the a$$ I had to deal with, you made it look very easy, I can’t seem to get it out of where it hooks, any tips on that?
I have a 2021 toy built rear mounted engine 30 inch single blade would not engage had a horrible vibration in blade for a while then finally would not engage I replaced spindle and blade still nothing no engagement I finally found the problem was a bad blade belt had a notch burned in it and hung up around a pully 10 dollar belt fixed the problem runs and cuts like a new mower
I've changed the cable correctly and the when I pull the engage lever the spring thing is moving but when I get on machine and engage blades nothing happens
Look at the top of the deck where the cable hooks on to the tensioner arm. Check to see if it's moving when moving the engage lever. Sometimes dirt and debris cause the arm to bind.
@@RaleysSmallEngines everything seems to be moving correctly when I move lever with it not running. Once I get on and turn mower on and push lever blades do not engage. I'm about to be in tears 🤣
