He could have been, a cute and popular 17 years old guy who became a joke of the wizarding world in a moment and that wasnt even his fault, and he had years to be influenced by the dark magic. I believe that Hermione would have like Snape if she knew the truth about him, and helped them for decades, she wasnt that close minded

The plot is just a minor part of the whole production and the other things, the staging, effects, costumes, choreography, props, all that heavily outweighs the plot, which maybe is mediocre, but its not on a level one could call "shitty". And not every Tony is for story, so I dont see any problem here.

I saw it. Everyone said I would feel differently about this shit show once I saw it. The plot is a HUGE part of it and still a HUGE issue. All of the production is, for sure, pretty but it didn't deserve to win at all.
The pacing is terrible... slow and boring at times . The only really good parts, visually, are Play 1, Act 2 and Play 2, Act 1. (The middle). It built to an anticlimactic Voldemort moment, which given the UK feedback was supposed to be amazing...no so much.
Production does count for something, but a play it does not make. If someone hits you, it doesnt make it better just because that person is attractive. That is this play. Occasionally pretty but lacking in all fumdamentals.
