I'm not sure about the US, but here in Europe we have had these kind of trucks since ages, they're built by Iveco, Ford, Renault... The cabin is standard but the back is modular, and they all have a body on frame design, instead of the car-like unibody of most American pick up trucks. The thigh is though, they are commercial vehicles, they pay lower (or no) taxes compared to a "civilian" vehicle and are only bought by people who use them to work (also because they usually cost more than a car).
Finally someone gets it. Speaking for myself I don't want all the expensive electronic gadgetry of modern vehicles. It is hard to find manual transmissions without electronic door locks anymore if at all. I do still insist on cruise control and will take an automatic if required but spare me the expensive to replace key fob.
This is what people have been wanting. Back to basics. Simple, affordable work truck. No luxury, just necessity. That is why so many people like the antique and vintage square body trucks from the 80's and back. They also like the ease of repair on the older models. Demand will out supply.
Manufacturers have wanted to make them for decades, as well. Unfortunately, US CAFE fuel efficiency standards prohibit marketing utility trucks of this size. This will remain the case until either CAFE standards are reworked (good luck with THAT!!!) or battery costs come down enough to enable better price points for small vehicles.

It makes perfect sense! When Toyota 1st introduced their pickups to the US, they were solid and inexpensive. My parents bought one and we used to take it up into the mountains, the real mountains above 7,500 ft elevation, & would go where the big 4X4s couldn't go. In fact, one time dad pulled out a big 3/4T 4X4 out of Boulder Cr., Blaine Co., Idaho when all others couldn't. Loved that 'Yota. And the new Land Cruiser is nothing like the original. The original was fun, strong, and simple. Bring back modernized FJ Land Cruisers & Toyota pickups as they were originally. They will sell! I'd buy one.
This is what construction workers, farmers, gardeners need and want. A good reliable cars with out all the convenience items that triple the price of the truck and makes the dealers an insane profit

A soon as i saw it, would be perfect, every truck or work van is around 40k and if they are use still around 10k or more. No good for business car, it is almost a luxury to have a nice car for work. And the people who buy truck of the year are the owner or contractor that never actually work with it.
Guy I used to work with had an ancient Toyota pickup. He had to put a quart of oil in it every night before he started home. "That doesn't sound like a Toyota to me." "Well, when you have 500k on the original engine, even Toyotas burn oil." He and his buddies put new rings in it over a long weekend. No more smoke or burning oil. I had a 1981 Toyota Corrola 2 door sedan. 5 speed and rear-wheel drive, so it was sort of a sports car. Bought it for $400. It had been sitting in a field for two years. I turned the key on, and there was still juice (Interstate brand battery.) So I poured a little gas in the carburetor, tried the key- and it started. Took it straight for an oil change. The mechanic pulled the drain plug- and nothing came out. He ran a screwdriver up through the hole, and what came out- even with a warm engine- looked like tar mixed with mollasses. Amazing the original owner got over 200k out of it without doing regular oil changes. Burned a tiny bit of oil, but I just ran 20W50 in it during warm weather and it was very happy. Tried to beat it to death for over two years, drove it hard and fast, offroad, even used it to fight grass fires (me, another firefighter, and two backpack tanks.) Only reason I quit driving it is because my buddy's station wagon the same year lost an engine. They were flat broke, so I gave them my car for the engine. They drove it for years afterwards. I bet it had 500k on it in the end.
I drive a Toyota 2014 Prius C class a small but a great on gas car and still runs great.Nothing fancy but it gets you where you need to go.45 mpg reg. in town driving and 55 mpg straight long distance highway driving.Who needs EVs when hybrids are the best of all.
I love it. Not electric and it's customizable! The only problem I can see for this is " not sold in USA" where the truck market is BS we don't have any small trucks. What happened to a small ranger? Now it's the same size and fuel efficiency as a f150 and look at the Tacoma's same as the tundra. Every truck is now the same.
Same, would love this truck but they will NEVER sell it stateside. Look at the CAFE rules the Government imposed. That's what killed the small truck market. It was cheaper to pay the fines and make larger trucks than make a better small truck.
i would love this even more if it was a PHEV. affordable small truck that can be powered without giant oil corps controlling how far I could drive it? Yes please.
The NHTSA and EPA happened to the US and killed the small, light trucks. Emissions, CAFE fuel economy standards (have to make larger/heavier trucks to loophole out of the lightweight MPG levels and fleet quotas), and crash safety regs.
If it's $10,000 less than the closest competition it doesn't matter all that much if it isn't quite as fuel efficient. You can buy a lot of gas for $10,000.
If the vehicle is twice as practical or convenient, I’d gladly pay for more gas if I got more convenience out of the vehicle. Not necessarily this vehicle. But my truck now is a giant gas guzzling V8. And I love it. For multiple reasons. So I gladly pay for the gas.
I think they were saying it cost 10k not that it's 10k cheaper then the nearest alternative. If anybody sells any vehicle with 4 wheels and has an engine for 10k new they'll sweep the market by storm. Dealership upcharging alone has been killing all of us
Toyota took over by offering really good vehicles for really good prices back in the 70's through 90's to get to where they are. Doing so again is completely possible and will serve to reinforce the foundations of the company all over again.
And if Toyota could sell twice as many of these profitably at the expense of other trucks, why wouldn’t they do do. It about what he customer wants, not the manufacturer. Otherwise we’d still be buying buggies.
I really love that the industry is FINALLY exploring a stripped down but modern vehicle designed for reliability and affordability. There is a lot of utility for the people with something like this!
Yeah. I've never understood why I have to pay for electric windows, electric seats, air conditioning, a sound system, etc, AND the extra fuel to lug around all the extra weight. I don't WANT those things! I can wind down a window by myself, thanks!
@@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 It doesn't. EPA sets fuel efficiency requirements based on gross vehicle weight. As the weight goes down, the required efficiency goes up - fast. If you make a truck like the f-150, it only needs to get something like 20 mpg to make the line. If you tried to make a 1985 Datsun pickup today it would have to get something like 60 mpg, which the automakers basically can't do. This is probably stuck this way until electric vehicles become practical at that size, which I suspect is the goal. The problem is a little more complex than that because the EPA grades the entire lineup of a manufacturer's vehicles, but that's the gist of it.
I can tell you as someone who has worked with automotive dealerships, even with 30-40k price tags on a truck they don't really make a large margin off the sale itself. Where dealerships make their money is in service. Repairs and Maintenance on vehicles is what keeps them afloat.
So right. I could give up all that unnecessary stuff my current Gen1 Toyota Tundra has: radio, power windows and locks, cruise control and probably a few others .
Power windows are superior to manual windows. As manual windows get old they will start to go down on their own, also passengers can roll them down with their arms without noticing. @@javadog6288
Gonna go the way of the Mahindra Roxor, an Indian produced License built 1st gen Willys Jeep (yes THAT Willys Jeep) that has had almost 100 years of refining the process to make it an affordable and dead reliable Diesel Ute vehicle. And Fiat threw a hissy fit so its not sold in America anymore
It won't be sold in the US. So MOST of the people who watched this will be angry that you showed a 3rd world special. Yes, it is good that someone gave them something better than 3 wheeled trikes for that price. But it is limited market, limited to places with no safety standards. Which usually means no emission standards either. How is it from the tailpipe?
This makes perfect sense and would be perfect for so many different types of use in the states. Because of that, I'm sure the big 3 won't allow it to be sold in the states. I'd buy one for sure and turn it into a tiny house on wheels. While you're at it, and since small cargo vans are disappearing, bring us the Hiace and or the Proace please. It's time.
Sadly new smaller pickup trucks was banned for dumb reasons. Kinda one of the main reasons why SUVs jumped in sales. I wish vehicles wouldn’t continue to grow
I’ve been looking for a truck to have strictly as a work truck. It’s hard to find something I want for less than even $20k. I’d buy this in a heart beat
@@VietnamchiThe kei truck is sometimes very underpowered for a lot of uses and it's not safe as the crumple zone is you, this truck has a lot more torque and engine power + proper safety it seems like
This is the direction of Toyota’s new plan… “We aren’t going to build boring vehicles anymore” and “we will create vehicles to suit everybody and anyone.” 👏👏👏 Nice to see a morally correct company focus their efforts on customers, the environment and sustainability… instead of trying to appease the EV idealism.👍👍
If this was on the market I would purchase it. I like that it's modular. You can have one vehicle set up for a few different things. For me I would add an extend seating area. I would use the remainder of the the bed, to put an enclosed unit, to transfer my dogs. They go pretty much everywhere with me. They could be safe, secure in the rear unit. And not messing the interior cab up. I really like this modular concept. Surprised it hasnt been available sooner. No one should pay $50K or more for a SUV, Truck or Car. That's just crazy.
I think this is what the marketplace needs. I know I’m tired of the luxury pickup trucks with things I don’t need. Give me a solid truck that has a heater, ac, a simple radio, standard transmission, analog gauges and I’m good to go. I don’t need leather, carpet, and digital everything. I would like to see the options for the bed besides the food truck emphasis. I would like to see campers, covered storage, etc
With 4WD features and with the overland option would suit me just fine. Small lift, little bit bigger tires and some other off road goodies would be awesome. The vehicle Toyota should bring back to market is the FJ Cruiser. It is a good off road performer.
The dealers screwed the FJ. The vehicle didn't sell well because the dealers jacked the selling price so high the demand dropped off to nothing. That's the USA for you.
It's also a mini truck. I mean ok it's a little bigger than a K class JDM mini truck but I bet it's a lot smaller than you're imagining. Look up the promo pics of the one converted into a pop-up coffee shop. It's barely wide enough for counter top coffee machine they put in the back.
@@RasheedKhan-he6xx Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it. ... A man can dream though and this still looks bigger compared to a JDM mini truck - I'd love one of these with more power, 4x4, lockers, and a dump bed. 🍻
@@RasheedKhan-he6xxI've seen videos of it, it is definitely not the smallest truck, infact I've seen the cabin is pretty spacious in all directions which I wasn't expecting
I’ve been waiting for this. The automakers have priced themselves out of the market.. Move back to the simplicity of the ‘Datsun’ era. Simple reliable and cheap. I have put off buying any new vehicle, this could change that mindset. Well done Toyota.
I loved my Datsun pickups. Or at least 2 of the 3. A 1966, a 1973 and a 1978 King Cab. Was not impressed with the King Cab. I bought it new. The other 2 were gems!
Amazing how this truck is designed. Over the last several years I have been emailing Toyota when I get agitated about another new vehicle that is not what I want. This truck meets all the check boxes that I asked Toyota to bring back to their compact trucks. I hope it succeeds. And finally something that could possibly replace my small truck.
Honestly if they offer a diesel option and a stick shift thats 4x4 and i woupd happily trade my taco for it. Wouldnt think twice about it, seems like the perfect rig for me.
A friend of mine and I were talking about just this the other day, there hasn’t been a good pickup mass produced in more than 20 years, the old ones have actually gained in value recently, especially Toyota or some that had the V6 conversion
The f150 over the last 20 has over 5xs as many sales worldwide as any prior years or vehicle, and there still garbage, the last good built truck to me is the 98 3500 ram, rambler package, 7.1 turbo D non dually model.
I just had to part with my '85 Ranger, I can't keep up with the maintenance by myself anymore. I feel like I should have kept it and hired help with the way modern vehicles are going.
This is so needed I’m sick and tired of all the electrical gimmicks on new vehicles, just more to go wrong, but when will it be in the uk won’t hold my breath, but I’ll have one🤙
Show us the new Toyota IMV0 truck instead of dozens of other trucks. Sack the editor for too short a time to view the new truck. This is frustrating, annoying, and lacking in specific information. Do you work for Ford?
Very smart. Customizable chassis. I would buy two immediately for my business and build out the chassis specifically for my needs for much less than a normal full sized truck. Bravo!
My wife drives a 2009 Jeep Patriot. There’s nothing wrong with it, but we’ve looked at new vehicles, REALLY liked the new Explorers…. and just decided to keep the Jeep. It’s paid for, it’s NOT full of useless electronics and gadgets. It’s simple, it works. I wish more companies made what Toyota is stepping into. I’d like a newer, “stripped down” model of a couple different vehicles.
The Datsun truck was a shock wave to car dealers in late 60's early 70's i had an old used one in college loved the damn thing and uts little 4 cylinder motor. That same little engine with an overhead cam would be a game changer. No electric anything, no ac, 5 speed transmission.
I am in the US, hate the bloat / status trucks that we have now. I drive a 2006 Tundra SR5 and will never sell it bc there is nothing new that can replace it. I want a super simple reliable truck with air conditioning bc I live in Houston. This is the first and only new vehicle that I am interested in. Don’t want electronics, sensors, touch screens or status crap. I want a reliable, simple, ice truck (4 wheels, manual transmission and it runs without issues). Please bring this truck to the US. I will preorder one today. There is NOTHING on the market for the last 5 to 7 years that I would even consider buying.
Build it and I’ll buy it! I have a manual 2002 Toyota hiace with only the computer for injection and crank angle sensor… previous work truck 2003 Toyota hilux both with around 250,000 klms and they’ll easily do another 250,000 with sensible maintenance.
A 4X4 Diesel version of this would work just fine for me. Making Bio-Diesel is damn easy when you know how. This would help me become even more self-sufficient, and free.
Big Yes to the IMV. I have an old Toyota Tacoma. It's the best vehicle I've ever own. I'd be interested in an IMV for traveling around the country with some type of simple living space in the back. Ideally, being able to crawl from the cab to the living space would be best for safety reasons but I'd take what I can get. I hope the IMV does extremely well. I don’t need bells and whistles, just reliability.
Way over do for a market that's become stagnant and high priced. A vehicle that's got a great starting price and is truly customizable. Love to see this soon. Cheers
I remember back in the 80's the little SR5 Toyota trucks. They were awesome And I taught at least a dozen people how to drive a manual trans because they were so easy to drive. I have been buying brand new for 30 years. This year I could not afford a brand new car and had to buy a used one. That's nuts. Something needs to be done. Car prices are out of control.
I've owned an '88 Toyota truck for 22 years now. As a residential remodeler, the XtraCab, long bed configuration meets my needs. It has plenty of cargo space and load capacity. On the very, very rare instances where I might need more -or a larger tow capacity - a rental makes much better sense than driving around in a larger truck on a daily basis. Just this past week I had two inquiries within 30 minutes from individuals wanting to buy it.
@@Chain987I don't intend to sell. I told one of the guys who inquired this past weekend that I planned to be buried in it! I have built an ,almost completed, camper for it. Its will be my 'retirement escape' vehicle. Thanks for commenting.
@@markgarland9000 great. Same here. I also bought trailer, 4x8, flat and have a plan to convert to a living space to carry with me with my Nissan Frontier.
A simple, modular, reliable truck that doesn't have more sensors, computers and other electronic gizmos than a fighter jet would be amazing. Give it 4WD and at least 3,000 lbs towing capacity and I would buy one in an instant. Maybe add a 4-seater crew cab version and that would cover a huge part of the vehicle market. Pickup trucks are already becoming one of the most popular vehicles in the US.
im quite excited to see what the U.S. version of this comes out as. speaking of options and how much the prices gets jacked up for our market. would love a chance to get behind the wheel of one. but looking at it so far, id trade my chevy for one in a heart beat. to be able to get behind the wheel of a brand new truck for under 20k is a big deal!
GREAT machine. LOVE the engineering. My gift to Toyota is: the fold down rear tailgate blocks the lights when in the down position. This is actually an unnecessary danger for drivers parked at the side of the road doing delivery as it blocks the hazards. Simple solution: CUT OUT rectangles in the tailgate that show the lights when folded down. Less steel in the stamping = savings as a bonus. You are welcome.
Decades ago, Toyota made a simple, small pick up truck that was inexpensive and reliable. It was very popular with young men as their first vehicle. What that often did, was create "brand loyalty" among these guys. Often the vehicles they purchased subsequently were also Toyotas. That little truck was a small, cheap vehicle but was still "cool" to be seen driving. Much cooler than any low budget car.
1987 Toyota pickup here. I have a Toyota truck today, though nicer and 4WD. But my parents, seeing how good that cheap little truck was, bought 2 4Runners and 2 Lexus RXs after I had been driving the truck a few years. They're still riding on the loyalty built up years ago. Yes they build good vehicles, too. But they'd do well to get some more of Gen Z on the train for the future.
Reminds me of a modern version of the old Datsun and Toyota small pickups from the 70s and 80s. Almost all the men in my family owned them and they were great little workhorses. We're talking about men who were everything from fishermen and farmers to fire fighters. Were great for carrying gear and equipment, towing utility trailers and even packing us kids around in those little extended cabs. Even carried small campers that we would go up to the lake with every summer for weeks of fun in the woods. At the price they are suggesting for this thing it would be an instant winner for those of us that just want something reliable and simple without all those useless extra bells and whistles that trucks have never needed but are driving the costs to insanity.
If only the seats were adjustable and it came in extra cab. I love the simple interior. As a landscaper I don’t need a touch screen failing from a build up of dust, moisture and sunscreen, fertiliser and dog hair. Knowing this, you can see why I don’t need a cup holder either.
The good thing is that it will be available outside the USA means that this type of vehicle will sell and grow. Anything that is in the USA is prohibitively expensive outside the US.
Always been a chevy man but for the price point and the fact they’re not trying to intentionally over engineer this to be the most expensive has got me seriously considering buying one of these.
Well we had Dacia, who built cars with obsolete Renault parts, meaning they were tried and tested, so they just worked. Though they only made smallish cars. Still the cheapest version of their "seven seater", more like 5 + 2 small kids. was 8,5k UDS at the dealer here in sweden, with our ridiculous taxes on everything. You couldn't even get electric windows on it as an option though. It was just a car and nothing else. They've since removed that one from their lineup and gone more hipster, so not sure how cheap they are anymore.
Is the customizational back end of the truck already added when you’re buying the truck and just a box you have to check for what you want from the factory or is that something else you have to buy? I’m already interested in buying one now because it’s cheap and customization that makes me want a couple of them. Something for work and then a small home in the back I can just camp out in for long work days or to actually take a vacation in.
Funny how they phased out station wagons in the mid 80's... every one wants a short stocky 4x4 vehicle that will hold everything... like the old station wagon 😂
Very informative and it would be great to see in the US. Every bit of the video was great with the exception of the whooshing sounds when changing scenes.
i feel like if they give this 4wd and a diesel, it could be the toyota pickup of our generation, simple, durable and incredible capable. ill be interested to see vanlifers use the modularity and build their own house on the back
A new truck around $10k and I don't have to deal with all the electronic B's I already don't want? Yes. Take my money

Thank CAFE standards and the EPA.
I wonder if they brought this to Mexico then imported into America
If it's $10,000 less than the closest competition it doesn't matter all that much if it isn't quite as fuel efficient. You can buy a lot of gas for $10,000.
If the vehicle is twice as practical or convenient, I’d gladly pay for more gas if I got more convenience out of the vehicle. Not necessarily this vehicle. But my truck now is a giant gas guzzling V8. And I love it. For multiple reasons. So I gladly pay for the gas.
What is the difference in fule?
They should totally price it at $19,900 to start, and then cut the price if it doesn't sell like hotcakes.
You’re a clown John 🤡. JOHNS A CLOWN 🤡
I think they were saying it cost 10k not that it's 10k cheaper then the nearest alternative. If anybody sells any vehicle with 4 wheels and has an engine for 10k new they'll sweep the market by storm. Dealership upcharging alone has been killing all of us
Hoping this new truck will be available in South Africa, it's exactly what we need!
They say _"History repeats itself",_ usually in a derogatory meaning, but if Toyota can repeat its climb from the past, it would be fantastic.
@@ashscott6068 Because of CAFE fuel efficiency standards.
@@evilrobots. How does the added weight of the accessories save fuel?
@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 It won't be available for the US or any other western country
I think a lot of people would want something like this. Reliable and Cheap are a good combo.
“Extra useless features”, straight facts right there.
CANOO ANYONE?!🇺🇸💪⚡️
I would love to see this truck in 4x4 for Canada. I would buy one in an instant!
Companies usually go against an affordable vehicle coming to the market. This will never reach this continent
I like it !!! But really needs to be a 4 x 4. Great idea ....
DON'T HOLD UR BREATH !!!
@CanuckBacon but that wasn't road legal.
This truck makes me want to start a company.
Yup just doing customisations
Can I be your henchman?
I mean, "manager"?
It won't be sold in the US. So MOST of the people who watched this will be angry that you showed a 3rd world special.
Yes, it is good that someone gave them something better than 3 wheeled trikes for that price. But it is limited market, limited to places with no safety standards. Which usually means no emission standards either. How is it from the tailpipe?
I’ll take one. Simplicity is what I want. Guy nailed it when he said expensive feature that nobody wants.
It's time.
Don't forget government regulators, they hate prosperity and freedom, and they will find a way to keep it out.
Yup, they'll do it under the guises of "safety standards," like they have been doing now for decades.
Sadly new smaller pickup trucks was banned for dumb reasons. Kinda one of the main reasons why SUVs jumped in sales. I wish vehicles wouldn’t continue to grow
Id totally buy one
I’ve been looking for a truck to have strictly as a work truck. It’s hard to find something I want for less than even $20k. I’d buy this in a heart beat
Look up at a kei truck. This new truck is a modern kei for that fit US standard for every state. While kei truck are only drivable in some state!
@@VietnamchiThe kei truck is sometimes very underpowered for a lot of uses and it's not safe as the crumple zone is you, this truck has a lot more torque and engine power + proper safety it seems like
This is the direction of Toyota’s new plan… “We aren’t going to build boring vehicles anymore” and “we will create vehicles to suit everybody and anyone.” 👏👏👏
Nice to see a morally correct company focus their efforts on customers, the environment and sustainability… instead of trying to appease the EV idealism.👍👍
Or appease the even more irrelevant Woke ideology. (Woke ©️ Blackrock and Vanguard, probably.)
My wife and I have bought Toyota cars and trucks for years and they are always performance vehicles that don't give us a bunch headaches.
Gosh, I was thinking the same re: my Newfies
I think this is what the marketplace needs. I know I’m tired of the luxury pickup trucks with things I don’t need. Give me a solid truck that has a heater, ac, a simple radio, standard transmission, analog gauges and I’m good to go. I don’t need leather, carpet, and digital everything. I would like to see the options for the bed besides the food truck emphasis. I would like to see campers, covered storage, etc
And bloody hell, give me a Bench Seat!
About time America get a working man truck. I don’t need all the BS luxury in a work truck to impress my friends at the country club
I really appreciate the feeling of excitement: basic, reliable, and cheap. Bring this to Canada!
With 4WD features and with the overland option would suit me just fine. Small lift, little bit bigger tires and some other off road goodies would be awesome. The vehicle Toyota should bring back to market is the FJ Cruiser. It is a good off road performer.
Nope compete on price. FJ not a work vehicle.
The dealers screwed the FJ. The vehicle didn't sell well because the dealers jacked the selling price so high the demand dropped off to nothing. That's the USA for you.
It's a cheap Chinese electric truck, you can buy them for about $3-4K already under different brands.
If this comes to fruition in the US, I’ll definitely have one. Great alternative to the super cheap and underpowered JDM mini trucks.
@@RasheedKhan-he6xxgood, because not everyone wants, or needs a 35’ long f150…..
@@RasheedKhan-he6xxI've seen videos of it, it is definitely not the smallest truck, infact I've seen the cabin is pretty spacious in all directions which I wasn't expecting
I doubt it will ever be sold in the US like the Hilux
I’ve been waiting for this.
The automakers have priced themselves out of the market..
Move back to the simplicity of the ‘Datsun’ era.
Simple reliable and cheap.
I have put off buying any new vehicle, this could change that mindset.
Well done Toyota.
I loved my Datsun pickups. Or at least 2 of the 3. A 1966, a 1973 and a 1978 King Cab. Was not impressed with the King Cab. I bought it new. The other 2 were gems!
Datsun became Nissan.
A small diesel would be awesome!
Amazing how this truck is designed. Over the last several years I have been emailing Toyota when I get agitated about another new vehicle that is not what I want.
This truck meets all the check boxes that I asked Toyota to bring back to their compact trucks.
I hope it succeeds. And finally something that could possibly replace my small truck.
thank you for your service!
Honestly if they offer a diesel option and a stick shift thats 4x4 and i woupd happily trade my taco for it. Wouldnt think twice about it, seems like the perfect rig for me.
I’ll buy your taco for 10k rn
There are diesel, gasoline and natural gas in my country
Diesel mainly, all are stuck shift 4sp or 5 spd and 4wd models available
I love the idea 💡!
Just think of the custom builds we gonna see!
YES! I would buy one. I would really like to see a 4WD option for snow states.
The AWD version is not coming (yet) but it is confirmed to come soon
If only we could get these in the US.

Wish we could get it in the US, would be nice to have essentially a modern Kei Truck available to us for the road.
This is why I want a truck, just to be able to haul stuff around, no frills or gimmicks.
Show us the new Toyota IMV0 truck instead of dozens of other trucks. Sack the editor for too short a time to view the new truck. This is frustrating, annoying, and lacking in specific information. Do you work for Ford?
I'll buy one for sure if available in 🇺🇸 usa.
I do not believe they are going to be allowed in our country. Laws need to be changed. We are being deprived of some real cool, inexpensive vehicles.
100% accurate.
See the diamond star Triton or their Delica.
As a window cleaner this is absolutely GOLD!!!
As a model train enthusiast I think this is a good track to be on.

Toyota did this years ago with the TUV (Toyota Utility Vehicl) I hope that this will be as successful,
The Datsun truck was a shock wave to car dealers in late 60's early 70's i had an old used one in college loved the damn thing and uts little 4 cylinder motor. That same little engine with an overhead cam would be a game changer. No electric anything, no ac, 5 speed transmission.
I’d buy it today. I like the idea that I can get a truck with just the setup I want and no more than that with out the junk I’m excited about it
I am in the US, hate the bloat / status trucks that we have now.
Itd wreck the u.s. market I'm sure of it, and I'll bet it'll get fight back trying to bring it here
Build it and I’ll buy it!
Like I've said in other comments, the AWD version is work in progress, but the diesel is already here, so it would definitely be good
Love it! Really love that it's NOT an ev. Finally, a practical truck for the entrepreneur, blue collar working people. Hope they offer it in 4x4 soon.
I am in the process of opening a business. This truck would have been a game changer for me. I would have gotten at least two.

An affordable minimalist 4 door pick up is my dream car.
Just bought 2009 Nissan Frontier 2.5 4cylinder,manual transmition . Love it. New trucks are way f. overpriced. Pure greed.

20 years ago a local car dealership sold small Mazda trucks base package for 10k each. They were all gone on the first weekend.
They are trying to market the kei trucks to the US and I loVE it! This is exactly what we need.
So basically Toyota made a lego truck for 10k honestly i love it
Decades ago, Toyota made a simple, small pick up truck that was inexpensive and reliable.

Always been a chevy man but for the price point and the fact they’re not trying to intentionally over engineer this to be the most expensive has got me seriously considering buying one of these.
throw away your chevy and buy a toyota - thank me later. The japanese don't make POS vehicles 😂
I would buy one in a heartbeat but I doubt the US buyers will ever get a chance to.
Finally someone is creating affordable cars. It’s about time.
Great Move by TOYOTA ! They ended the EV error and now present a global multipurpose Car you can afford ! Love it ..
