Well done! I have put about 800 miles on my Solo in a month and a half. Replaced my high-miles Mustang as commuter/grocery/local daily driver. I am so single I don't even have a goldfish - no pets, family or even friends/associates to regularly drive around with. It is a perfect fit for my life, even with Costco shopping, since you don't buy everything every time. I have an old Lincoln as backup/heavy hauler/road trip car when I need more. The Solo is a fine in-town vehicle to not be racing, thrashing, stunting, etc. Peppy enough to get the job done with a bit of fun. Your characterization as more Miata than Mustang probably sums it up best.
I am anticipating going after an Aptera, but I could not wait. Solo is here now. It is small, nimble, easy to park and deal with. (Fully enclosed is a big plus for me.) They might even make a good complimentary team together when the time comes.

The Solo is the perfect second car for commuting to work. Or pizza delivery car. I want one.

It's the vehicle we probably should all be driving 90% of the time... Looks cool and totally up my alley. Then again I own a Smart Fortwo cdi...

Defiantly see these being useful in the city environment. Especially where the enclosure is needed in bad weather. Cool review.

Yep, definitely a cool little vehicle for dense cities-it’s a real upgrade versus mopeds!

Thanks for the review, james. I sat in one of these at a mall and was curious about the way it drove. The cabin seems well finished for such an inexpensive car, it would be nice if they had some sort of accessory available to increase the luggage space, though. ( something like saddlebags on a motorcycle)

Well there's a vehicle I haven't seen reviewed elsewhere. Nice research info on how it compares to other ev's

This is definitely one of the better reviews of ANYTHING I've watched so far. Very well done! I have been tossing around getting either the SOLO or ordering a Toyota I-Road from Japan. I have now officially reached "Can't Make Up My D*nmed Mind" mode. Something tells me I'll be replaying this vid many times as I try to figure this one out....

Lol.... Aptera...where can I go test drive one of those again? When can I buy? I'll be waiting....and waiting

Yeah. The Aptera is more car. But it can not be purchased today. And the price will be much higher than originally announced.

I would love to get your opinion and review on the mini cooper electric! As a fellow Miata believer, your take on the Mini would be really awesome.

Production of the Solo has ceased. The company stopped this line before they got into financial trouble. Inventory of 800 Solos will still be sold and supported. I have had my Arcimoto for 16 months now as my only transportation, two seater with a huge fun factor.

I'm an owner also of a solo I really like it I'm really dismayed at the fact that they're asking to take them back I really like to keep my in and repair it myself as one of my friends is the codesigner of the Corbin sparrow which was built 24 years ago Which disk vehicle is very similar in design

@@michaelengle9912 You are off track. The older EVs were not software driven and digitally controlled. They only superficially resemble new designs. Whole new ballgame now. You aren't going to get the diagnostics, schematics and parts lists for your Solo. Better to sell it back, accept the free experience and invest in a new autocycle. The entire company could not figure out the problem so it is extremely unlikely you could.

I've noticed that almost all of the drivers of the Solo smiles a lot in their videos. It looks like a fun car to drive, but would it still be fun after a year's driving it?

I don’t think I could get used to the seatbelt being on my right side while driving.

Solo gets closer to 7mpk city driving. Good luck getting an Apterra and specs be correct. There's no successful background for Apterra.

Aptera will end this things whole career

I hope they both survive! 😎 Aptera will be much more technologically advanced and designed to be more mainstream, and I am 1000% rooting for it to work out (especially since I have a deposit on one haha).
Solo seems to be more niche for dense cities, and I hope it works for that purpose as well.
