    Al Anderson is a shredder! Concrete Jungle, Lively Up yourself and many more title! IMO he is the best reggae lead guitarist of all time.

      Unfortunately in reggae all the focus is on the drummer and bassist, but truth be told reggae has great musicians in every instrument.

    saw him yesterday in rottweil, germany and I was totally faszinated by his soli (I didnt knwo him before)
    you have to experience this live, but you can hear that he has staggering thoughts and he can translate them perfectly with his guitar.
    the whole wailers have to be seen live and the atmosphere on the concert was great, everybody joined the music, sang, danced, clapped, shouted, ...
    and the band is very open down to earth, after the show they made photos with fans, signed cards, ...

    The solo guitar that was played by Junior Marvin to same song in 1977 London rainbow concert remains the best version😉

      They did four different shows at the rainbow, if you look up bob Marley live at the rainbow. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of June you will find it, the only one they have on video currently is the 4th of June.
      Also the solos are very different-

    Reggae guitarists of The Original Wailers, Al Anderson and Junior Marvin, show that they are on a par with the biggest names in rock music! They are guitar masters and belong to the Reggae Legacy that Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer started five decades ago! Incredible guitar playing!

    yes because in that date there was only 1 Wailers band with Aston and Junior together. Now they have some trouble and made 2 different bands: The Wailers with Aston Barrett and The Original Wailers of Junior Marvin and Al Anderson.

    Junior Marvin sempre foi um dos guitarristas mais icônicos do reggae, mas eu sempre me impressionei mais com o Al Anderson. Este sempre foi pouco badalado, mas possui uma imensa técnica, não a toa o Peter Tosh também trabalhou com ele. Há um pegada rock and roll presente em seu timbre. É só ouvir o Live em Londres e em algumas músicas do Babylon by Bus, que se percebe o quanto esse cara sempre mereceu mais respeito.

    the piano player in the background...he keeps the tempo. he must be very concentrated to play right the same in the same tempo fpr 5 minutes

      I think its the opposite of that. Instead of concentrate, he zones out amd just plays. You ever been driving or playing a game and you start thinking about things then you snap back to reality and you realise youve been driving / preforming just fine without wven thinking about it
