Babies do those things in their own time. You can only assist and aid them. Every child is different and teaches milestones when they are developmentally ready.
An awesome read is Pikler/Magda Gerber, anything by them!! Children don’t need to be taught how to sit up or roll over, no other mammal in the world does! But because comparison is such a big thing in our lives, it makes you feel as if they NEED to sit up. But when they’re ready, they will do so :) They can teach themselves how to roll over, crawl, sit, walk all through practice!
