    That is so awesome. Growing up, our Dad would say, "You have 15 min to get in the car" & we would all pile in the car & go for a ride. We'd ask, "Where are we going" & he would say, I'll let you know when we get back." Which means he didn't have any idea. Those are great memories. Nowadays, my Hubby & I get out & go for rides all the time. We love it. 😊

    I was in London visiting my sister with my 9 year old daughter and in my wisdom thought it would be a good idea to visit the London Dungeon with her. Both she and I were traumatized. She has just turned 21 and still won't let me forget that excursion 🙂 I'm happy to report that she is a well adjusted, well functioning young woman.
    I am from New Zealand and grew up driving cars onto beaches and still can regularly go over roads with a dip in them that flood when it rains so it seems kind of normal to me 🙂

    Hi from Australia, we call them quad bikes, I grew up driving these around my uncles vineyard, awesome fun. Corbin reversing the quad off the trailer, reminds me of 'driving' a ute as a kid, while my uncle fed sheep hay off the back of the tray. The confidence kids feel when adults trust them, will set them up for life 💚

      Question from a person living in a country where there are no tornados: the family seems to be in a rugged, mountainous area, do tornados happen there? All the videos of tornados I see are always in areas that are flat.

    • @idid138
      @idid138 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rdb4996 that's what I was thinking too. I think where it's more mountainous you, can worry less. That's what my husband said when we were staying on the family property on Lake Cumberland. He said because the hills, they never had a tornado touchdown, that he knew of.

    • @idid138
      @idid138 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dianasimplifies is it just the flat areas of Tennessee that get hit? Do the hollars get hit?

    • @dianasimplifies
      @dianasimplifies ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rdb4996 I wouldn't think they would have them nearly as often. I was looking up tornado season in TN and it says E TN doesn't get them nearly as often as W and Middle TN. And east is where the mountains are. It said our season is actually April to June but I've lived in W TN my whole life. The bad ones happen in winter or earlier spring usually. Bc it's common for us to have 60s and 70s for temps in winter.

    We call ours a buggy! We love ours- miles to ride in Wyoming but I don’t like to ride over 30 miles!

    What great lessons in problem solving for the children.

    Oh my goodness!! Welcome back to Arkansas! You picked a fun time to go riding around here! Just before the pollen gets too bad, but the greenery is oh so rich, before the ticks and snakes are too thick, but quite a bit of mud to slop threw! Y'all's rides fit in perfectly with every single other Arkansan out riding their side-by-side! (We call them that too!) I would love to know which cabin you found to house 8 folks with riding nearby! We usually have to take our campers out, because we have more folks than an air b&b will house... 😅

      By the way, those "roads'' are 'county roads' and you have experienced them to their true fullness! That is how they are all over AR! Most times they are made by loggers and then someone puts a trailer at the end of it 😅

    I had a very similar childhood as Dawn. My dad loved fishing and camping. I have been all over AZ because of this I would not change any of it. He often would rent a cabin in one of the prettiest places in AZ, Greer! My husband and I have been there several times. I grant you the Grand Canyon is of course a whole different experience. We have many forest service/county roads that are pretty crazy. Example state route 260 to the "Scenic Trail" to Young, from pines to desert. Scary and very busy dirt road that is often one lane. Anyway hope you have a great Easter. TFS 🙏🥰👍
