Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. I hope you both have a beautiful and blessed life together. Taylor you have always been a sweet person and props to Momma Bear for raising a great daughter. 👏👍😎🙏🏼✌️
Very pleased to see that the Victron kit went in as well as I thought it would; the BattleBorn batteries will give you a far greater capacity than the old (heavy) AGM batteries, and with a far better useable capacity. Unfortunately, the weight loss on the the removal of the AGM batteries was probably balanced out by the weight of the Multiplus II (mainly the transformer inside), but the addition of the 3 extra solar panels will have been worthwhile. Well done Kiki on getting it all in with no smoke! 👏! Looking forward to hearing the plans for the wedding.
It's very important when doing any type of electrical work, to not let the smoke out. All electrical equipment comes with smoke installed. once the smoke escapes, the equipment is usually ruined! Safe travels!
This was *SO HELPFUL* seeing this made me realize I will *NEVER* be able to do this 😂😂 You saved me so much time, frustration and probably an electric shock or 2 or 3. Making my instillation appointment tomorrow! LOL Thank you. 🙏
Well, finalised the deal, I now am the proud owner of a 36 feet Cougar, a new 2022 316 RLS. I also will be doing some reno, but I'm not planning on hitting Baja before fall of 2025, now to the fall is gonna be hot and wet and hurricane season will be upon Baja, so lots of time. Gonna put the mother load on the roof, still measuring to see what I can do, panel wise. Just a suggestion, check into a "dc to dc charger" ( by Victron), it makes it possible to charge your batteries while you drive another option for charging your battery bank. Oh and BTW congrats on the wedding!!!🥳
Thanks for the excellent video. It looks like you're off to a great start. Be sure and inspect those flexible solar panels regularly, especially in the summer, as they have been known to overheat, damaging the roof material underneath and can even catch fire when mounted directly to an RV roof, as they have difficulty getting rid of the heat they accumulate attached to an insulated roof. They do save a lot of weight, though I think your toy hauler could handle some conventional, rigid panels which not only have a higher efficiency but a longer life expectancy too. We're retired FTers who discovered we love boondocking, so designed and built our off-grid electrical system ourselves, on a limited budget. We're living this lifestyle off of a limited retirement income, so had to take the low budget route, foregoing name brand components like Victron and Battleborn for more affordable quality options. We started by building a 620-watt liftable solar array on the side of our 1999 National Tropical MH that gets plenty of cooling air underneath. Our side array makes a nice bedroom window awning too, practically lifting itself with a couple gas struts, and it's easy to clean, standing safely on the ground. Lifting the array improves its efficiency 20-30% compared to horizontally mounted panels, even more in the winter, when the sun is lower in the sky. Next, we built a 12v, 560ah LiFePo-4 battery using 8, 280ah prismatic cells and a Heltec 330amp (1,200a surge) BMS to start my generator, with a 5a active balancer. These cells fit perfectly under the steps of our MH where our old pair of golf cart batteries used to reside. They have the equivalent capacity of 2 Battleborn Gamechangers but have a much smaller footprint. We insulated the battery compartment, cut a small hole in our step risers and installed a tiny computer CPU fan to keep this space at close to room temperature, so we don't have to worry about the BMS shutting down charging due to low temperature - or their life reduced from getting too hot. Our 12v system uses an 80A Lithium converter/charger, a 1,000w Renogy inverter, a 50a Epever MPPT charge controller and a Lnex battery monitor. All this cost us under $3,500 and meets all our off-grid electrical needs except for our air conditioning, and microwave. By mounting the solar array on the side of our coach, we left the roof free to rack 8, 550w solar panels down the length of our 35ft Class A, 15" off the roof, above our AC, vents, etc. It shades our entire roof, allowing plenty of cooling air underneath, increasing solar output and reducing the heat load on the air conditioners. Our 4,400w array can run both our A/Cs, our household appliances and charge our batteries from solar at the same time, even in winter. We can even run our mini split heat pump 24/7 providing both A/C and heat powered by the sun. We mounted a Sungold Power all-in-one 48V, 5,000W Inverter/100A charge controller/battery charger, breakers and another Lnex battery monitor on the wall in our bedroom, saving us space as well as money compared to a system built with individual components. This all-in-one unit has the same 99% charging and 95% inverter efficiency as the high end Victron unit, though it lacks some of the bells and whistles to come in at only $764. We chose this particular unit because it supports up to 500 volts of solar power which was needed to accommodate our 400voc solar array. This high voltage system performs very well in low light, real world conditions. A few days ago, it rained all day, but our high voltage (400voc) array was still producing over 1,500 watts or around 35% of its rated capacity even in pouring rain, keeping our battery topped up. In light rain, we've seen over 50% of the panel's rated output. Needless to say, in full sunlight they work as advertised. Our 48v battery uses 16, 320ah prismatic cells and a 200amp Heltec BMS to keep it safe. Together with our 560ah 12v bank, we have a total of 23.5 kwh of batteries onboard (the equivalent of 18, 100ah Battleborns) - kept charged by 5,020 watts of solar. We removed our old rooftop bedroom A/C and replaced it with an EG4 28.5 seer-2, 12k btu mini-split heat pump on the upper rear of our motorhome. It's super quiet and cools as well as our 14.5k btu soft start equipped Furrion we have up front, but only draws about 1/3rd the power and heats efficiently too, reducing our propane usage. Our total budget for both 12v and 48v systems was around $11,500, including the $1,500 high-efficiency heat pump. We have no need to hook-up to power pedestals or run our generator anymore, as we run everything in our MH strictly off the sun. We travel around the country a lot, visiting National Parks, and doing the tourist thing, mostly boondocking out west. We spent last winter in Yuma, AZ, but we're visiting our son in NC now, where boondocking places are pretty rare. We found an RV park that is letting us camp in a spacious site without hook-ups for only $100/mo., saving us $500/mo. off their FHU rates. Take care. I hope to see you down the road one day.
Wow! How awesome. I love the new home. Congratulations and great job.👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 That’s a lot of work setting that stuff up. How freaking exciting. PeaceAndLove Lori
Aloha Taylor, it's a bummer that Mexico has to take a backseat for now but wedding stuff might be important too =) Looking forward to your next video, safe travels!

At 0:45 I thought you were going to say that you were blown away by the gas prices.
I would be interested in the total cost. I just traded my 2010 Jayco with solar on it and now have a 2024 that I'll be putting solar on within the next year.
I have 4 100 amp hour BB Batteries with 1200 watts of flexible solar panels. I only get little over 800 true watts input on a sunny day in AZ with that much solar. I'm thinking you are going to want more. Let us know how ur setup works out for you. Enjoy
Oh yeah that looks simple...😵💫... .... piece of cake...🍰... I understand all that wiring perfectly...🤪 ...really... no problem...🥺... looks simple to me...🥴... I could do that in the dark... with both hands tied behind my back...🤥 ... easy peasy...😬 ...here... I'll give you a hand...👋
Smart Move not going to Mexico. Not a good time to go. No Gas ⛽️ for one. Tough getting. Mexico is not the same when I was going down there in the 70s and 80s. Get Mary enjoy your life and go down to Mexico, American Airlines to Cancun or Cabo driving down there is not a good idea.

Great information on off grid. Hope to see you sailing again someday soon.🤙
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Loved the video and the theme music.
Great video as always, congrats on the upcoming wedding!!! Love you guys!!!

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉on your wedding. 3 hurrays to you both
Have you heard any news of your old boat? Was it in the way of the hurricane?
Nice upgrades to the RV. Congrats on the getting married soon!
Well done guys. It's great when everything works out.
Aloha Taylor, it's a bummer that Mexico has to take a backseat for now but wedding stuff might be important too =) Looking forward to your next video, safe travels!
The schematic that came with the inverter kit, did make it look like a fairly simply set up.

At 0:45 I thought you were going to say that you were blown away by the gas prices.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
Thank you!!
Do a video on how your liking the 31A10
Power to you both 🙏
Do you worry about voiding the warranty on the RV? Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! 👰🏻♀️👨🏻⚖️
Good video 😊 why did you quit sailing because it got to expensive it's a big change to switch to fifth wheels and truck safe travels
By sticking those solar panels directly to the roof they will be prone to over heating if they have no ventilation under them!
I disagree. We have had ours adhered to the roof for three years and zero issues.
Hi, great video, just one question....did you consider using your alternator to charge your lifepo4 battery bank
I would be interested in the total cost. I just traded my 2010 Jayco with solar on it and now have a 2024 that I'll be putting solar on within the next year.
Lookin good like usual
Great video and congratulations with wedding !
Thank you so much 😀
Gamechanger! Oh C'mon mate, what was wrong with the Renogy MPPT lol...!
😂😂 hahaha can’t handle all the juice we’re putting in now!
Great commercial!
What is the name of the solar panels and what did you use to stick them down? Great job on the install
How is the original panel mounted? Thought I saw brackets?
Hi just wondering if you still have a sailboat and if you both plan on sailing again. Still love your channel
Great job!
Thanks!
Love the music
We just need an RV tattoo with a motorcycle on it!
Nice system. About 9 hours of sunlight to fill your batteries if they’re completely depleted.
👍🏼👍🏻❤
Happy Pride Month
Great video one question gas or diesel on your truck trying to make a decision Thank you congratulations on your upcoming wedding
Thanks! Our truck is Gas
love your set up!
Thank you!
14:45 so when are yall changing the Valor name on the back for a Taylor’s Travels?
wow, that's are great solar panels, battleborns?. is there a colab or link? 👍👍👍
The solar panels are from Bouge RV!
Good video, safe travels.
Thank you for the videos
I have 4 100 amp hour BB Batteries with 1200 watts of flexible solar panels. I only get little over 800 true watts input on a sunny day in AZ with that much solar. I'm thinking you are going to want more. Let us know how ur setup works out for you. Enjoy
You probably got 7x the power on that upgrade. If the solar is not enough maybe you could add more to one side of the trailer.
Good job.
Love the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is sad is so many RV manufacturers is they don't have or provide a wiring schematic.
You guys left out a lot of stuff. How many amp hours of battery do you have? How many watts of solar? What adhesive did you use a ticket to the roof?
Temu…the company that spams you forever. Maybe show off your Temu wedding rings
Temu is changing quickly. Many things are shipped locally now
@@bearitraebLocally, if you live in China 😂
🎉
4:20 Hmmmm...I don't know why I thought you would be past the queen for a day wedding BS. That said...I wish you the best.
I see 2 reasons she’s getting all these free things I would never get…lol
Oh yeah that looks simple...😵💫...
.... piece of cake...🍰... I understand all that wiring perfectly...🤪 ...really... no problem...🥺... looks simple to me...🥴... I could do that in the dark... with both hands tied behind my back...🤥 ... easy peasy...😬 ...here... I'll give you a hand...👋

I'm not sure why anyone promotes TEMU, just no, crap app and crap products.
Agreed. Why promote Chinese crap. What a sell out. 👎
Don’t be sad about Mexico!! It’s troubled land!! The roads are not like the marinas and ports!
You’re way over on pin weight after adding those batteries
Don’t forget all sponsored items or things given have to be CLAIMED ON TAXES! It’s free but NOT
sorry ! I am old( older) didn't understand
TH-cam typical infomercial shills. Yawn.
Welcome to the worst state in America
Welcome to California The best state in the USA
I’m sure they agree at the gas pump
California is a great state just crappy politics
Right, how dare invidividuals have rights. We just need to let corporations run everything and tell us what to do.
I don't support Temu they are non US com
The standard of the electrical installation on that thing is disgusting, what are those RV’s worth…?
Noone cares
Clearly you cared enough to leave a comment😂
