This track is a success on every level. Both music and lyrics convey Tarja's vision and message for Christmas: an explosion of light and hope in the midst of the darkness (be it outside or inside). A great track in a great album.

It is the best song in the entire album! Totally capture the dark & light ambience soundscape. It started with a light & bright note of violin before descending into dark tones. The verses are dark and haunting but the moment the chorus comes, it is so bright & clear. The way she manipulates her vocals is simply astounding. This is by far the brightest I've heard her sing! Looking forward to the live version!!

I love this whole weird, wonderful and unique album, not to everyone's taste because Tarja dared to take overplayed happy songs and turn them into something haunting, but I adore it. I don't understand where the belief that Christmas is full of joyful cheering came from, for me it's more of a mysticism and I think that's the way it is for a lot of Europeans. And I think you got it right that failure is not an option for Tarja. I feel the same way about her. Get well soon.

Hello. Ok a face time interview about Dark Christmas was put up in discord. I knew you would want to see it. I don't know if YOU know about 2017's From Spirits and Ghosts: Score for a dark Christmas? That was where she created the black and white christmas sprits. Her 2nd Christmas album. Her 1st was her solo debut in 2006. The album is entirely in Finnish. She has put 30 years of music study into her work. Work she says, and I believe she can only sing by putting her heart into the music. No one can do what she can do. Perhaps no one has been able to be that vunerable. To lower their guard enough to be that vunerable. It was another risk. But her solo career has been entirely taking the risk of rejection and finding only love and support. Her very words it was the music and the love from the fans that saved her.❤❤❤ we love 2 things. Everything she says. Everything she does. 😂 Seeing her free to be silly at times. To just be herself. That makes me very happy for her. And her family who love her the most of all.
