No worries! Today on WellCast, we're going to help you do just that. This episode was suggested by an entire class in One for Autism Academy in San Antonio, Texas! What is the "outside"???????????????
+puppylover2.0 And also Tra-Try-Trees?
+puppylover2.0 "Outside" is such a strange world.
But the last person that went to the "outside" saw a thing that's grey and hard he says it is a rock when he saw it he ran back in and went under his bed.😁😭😁
+Chickencaptain I wnt outside, I found something called a "Sky"
+puppylover2.0 I hardly survived, SAVE ME!
OMG WHEN THE VIDEO WAS STARTING I WAS LOOKING AT COMMENTS AND ALL I HEAR NEXT IS "hey! you who? hello girl on the screen talking to you your not even listening" I WAS SHOOK
Love these tips, especially number two! How often people don't do this and it's truly the best way to disconnect from technology and authentically connect!
You have awesome advice on literally everything. You guys are amazing! :)
I have no friends..
Halle Adamson i feel u
Same
Lol
Halle Adamson stop seeking attention.
PainBunny That's why you have no friends
There message is sooo needed. People need to spend more time reconnecting!
SO TRUE!!! I try to disconnect from technology and just focus on what I need to get done and appreciate the little things in life like taking a walk outside, it's actually quite enjoyable :)
wow. "disconnecting with technology":
end of the video: "tweet us at..."
well done wellcast, well done. :P
I'm an only child so I'm always really bored, so I just go on my electronics

You always have that one friend who go's on there iPod/iPad/tablet/android/iphone etc...... While wacthing a movie!
It's really sad to watch this and see how bad things have gone since this video was uploaded...
I am on Facebook and my phone every single day. My phone is constantly with me. And, I still hang out with my friends all the time, still get amazing grades. Still help out at home, and still help the environment. Technology doesn't ruin people. People ruin people. People can get caught up in anything. That's just my opinion. :)
SONIC SCREWDRIVERS!!! Thank you so much for this reference! Thank you also for the awesome advice and - this may sound weird, but I adore the way you say stuff - it's just awesome! And I also love your art design :)
Recovery is reconnecting with each other and using tools from the Discovery Wellness Alliance. Thanks for helping us to discover the joy found in connecting with one another!
It always irks me when I get on a bus or go to an eatery, and I see SO many people with their heads down over their smartphones or tablets, like penetants in a church, totally oblivious to the world around them.
When I got my first cell phone (waaay back in the day), I made a promise to myself that *I* would control my tech, not the other way around, and I've been very successful at it. I leave my iPhone in the living room when I go to bed, for example. After all, if something is SO important, it'll be there the next day, or whomever is calling me can leave a voice mail. There's no need to hang on every alert or audio prompt that the tech fairly *demands* you pay attention to.
You're so right!
This needs to be in the inbox of every person in America.

out side never heard of that server before....
5 years later we still don’t know...
OMG! I usually have my phone with me at school (you know the excuse: "what if something bad happens!" That's me). And one day i forgot my phone at home. I was freaking out all morning at school. But when i finally accepted that i didn't have it, i continued on with school.
While in my classes, i realized that since i didn't have my phone with me, it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders! I felt so light, because i didn't have the task of always having to worry about, 'is it there' or 'did i get a message', etc.
It was almost like being a little kid again. Not having to carry around much, worry about what is coming next, just experiencing the world around me.
Great suggestions!
I'm completely with this. tip for people who sleep next to their phone. (i do it too.) Put your phone almost out of reach and face away from it. It helps me not think about it.
When she said hey i was looking at the comments 0.0
😂haha
same i was focusing on the comments then i was like “huh what?”
I have a NOKIA and i don´t want an Iphone and i don´t use any social media sites because they are a waste of time
+Jake Drake I was on facebook because some of my friends invited me. I was there for almost 2 years. When my bachelor exams approached, I wasn't there for months and I didn't miss a thing. Since then I only visite my profile 1 Time - to deactivate it. ...... It felt great! 3 Years has past and now I wonder how much time my friends still spend there. Your right. It IS a waste.
+coronastern Both of you guys are right they are a waste that's why I only go on Instagram once a week!
TH-cam is a form of scocial media...
yeah I don't use any social medias plus in my opinion iPhone's are terrible
iphone are good dont ever say that
come back! make more vids! 😦 I love ur advice please.
they probably will! I talked to her on twitter! she said they have something planned for 2017!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS
Agasthya Rana YAAAASSSS! What did she say?
those were the exact words ._.
that they have something planned for 2017
Oh
Lol, ROFL "You'll be surprised how much fun you can have!"
Mom:are you using my phone
Me: no I'm using your phone
Mom:where did you learn that non scence?
Me:from you
Onother tip that has helped me is to set goals such as: I will try to have my phone over 50% when I go to bed tonight. This helps me watch how much usage I'm actually getting on my devices and manage them. Hope that helped someone!
As long as you have your alarm set and your phone is charged, you can turn it off, and it will come on in the morning to wake you up!
We'll keep your suggestion in mind!
watchwellcast please make more fricking videos
Plz
Great idea!
A lot of phones have alarms that come on even if you're phone is turned off. So just turn it off at night!
Yay Whitney!
You:Are you watching this on a smartphone right now????
Me: MOM I GOT A STALKER ONLINE!!!!
hahahahahahhaha!
It's like a conversation with a thin wall when you're talking to someone in a thin room an neighbor is watching over
It's funny how you can't imagine how the Amish do it without technology, but when there's a power outage you are amazed at all the things you get done and the simple things you appreciate!
I disconnected May 2014! This is a library connection on a public computer. Comcast seemed to give privileged bandwidth to commercial traffic. My connection became more of a conduit for commercials than informative. Then it seemed that every time I wanted to download something I was asked for my Facebook account to log in. I hate Facebook, Twitter, and all social networks. So I could no longer download because I refused to get a real social account. I simply disconnected the worthless internet. After disconnecting the internet, my computers just gathered dust. Last month I sold all my computers, routers, modems, hardware, printers, and software. I do not miss any of it at all. I have been free since May 2014 from the internet and free from personal computers since October 2014.
+Indrid Cold Good luck living in the past. I never have to enter a facebook login to download anything.... You must just be going to bad websites.
Sander Smirnov
It is really boring indeed. But I still have this shared public library computer and connection. This account is shared between four other people as well. It is really isolating. But I simply could no longer afford the connection fee. With all those commercials and advertisings, Internet should be free, like broadcast radio and television.
If wellcast wasn't so addictive and helpful, I'd be tech free 24/7.
LOL
Good idea!
This material is exceptional. A book on a similar subject was a turning point for me. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
So do you! :)
Well.. I subscribed. The content is strangely appealing and your voice is really pleasant; I reckon that I'll have watched all your videos by the end of the weekend. :)
The animator for this episode here! I did all the drawings in Photoshop, and our awesome director put it all together in AfterEffects.
We still use technology, but it's good to have a break from it occasionally!
For health also you can set a goal to have to do 15 jumping jacks , squats , sit-ups , ect. Before you get on your electronics and after one TH-cam video do another workout
'How to Survive Without the Internet
By: That One Guy'
Is the best book on Earth
Don't worry, we recognize it! :)
Hold up, let me google what can I do when I'm outside.
"OHH hhgawggd Doctro Whuattt ruiffurnce #Doctr for da win"
Yes, you. We know it's from there. Yes, you don't need to tell everyone you love it. Geez.
ah, I miss you guys
I an watching this on my phone which is hilarious because this us the first WellCast video that I've watched on it
Noh i must bring my sonic screwdriver EVERYWHERE.
I do step 5 already, My dad takes away my PC n stuff from 12-5PM on the Saturdays and Sundays PLUS in Tuesday and Thursday no internet for the night (school nights)

Everyone I know has smartphones, even my grandma...
Literally everyone I know has a smartphone. But I don't lol.
+Jazzy Jay so even Hitler had a smartphone you say?
Im sat in a box watching this lol!!!
when they talked about going outside, I gasped
this is sooo patronising lmaoo
I just subscribed to this awesome channel! I definitely need to disconnect from social media for at least a few weeks!
I'm watching this at night. Lol
you know we are all watching this on a device that includes electricity and you just told us to follow you on twitter!
Nice Doctor Who reference! Loved the video! This encouraged me to leave my phone in the living room more often, thank you!
when she said go outside I yelled "BLASHPHAME"
As soon as she started talking about the actual subject I left the video, now I'm back... Umm i may have gone from horror videos too the fattest people in the world, dinosaur documentaries, mine craft and other things and now I'm here and we'll, I think I might be addicted 😩😩
When school starts I seriously need to start putting my phone in the bathroom to charge so that when the alarm goes off I have to go to the bathroom to turn it off and since I'm already in the bathroom i might as well get ready for school. Yay!
I should be sleeping but i'm watching countless youtube videos, i really need to disconnect from the internet more often
Thanks.. Im trying really hard to put an end to my Procrastination. This helps, thanks.
I love that Dr. Who and Monty Python reference.
This is great - I totally agree, and it's certainly something I need to try
Something we should do everyday.
I'm trying to schedule one full day a week for no screen time and I'M having SO MUCH TROUBLE. The best I can do right now is 12 hours once a week of no screen whatsoever. So no video editing, no typing, and I'll work on my proijects the ones I write the old fashioned way, with a pen and paper, or ink and quil, that would be fun to try. If I sleep with my touchpad near me, I do too much Angry Birds and stuff and checking Big Brother live feed uopdates and I get eye fatigue. One eye, we always have a better eye, but the lesser one, get tired mroe easily and sore and my vision gets blurry. Days with more pronounced eye fatigues, I see more floaters in my visions, whereas days I am refreshed and vitalised they are pale and not as intense. At 33 there are quite a bit, you see them when looking at pale blue, some are clear and some are dark dots. What I noticed helps is taking long breaks from computer screens. And teh 20-20-20 rule, looking 20 feet afar, for 20 seconds every 20 minutes, then taking a ten minute break every hour and then after a few hours, taking at least 30 minutes of break time. I still need to discipline myself better though. And I'm the adult.
Monty Python and Doctor Who referens! You made my day.
oh yey! what I planned was a good one! I've been doing those for a week now! and it's working :)
Thanks! Really helped me! Just got a new i pod and I use it a lot!
I cannot stay off my phone and do something else! I get bored a few minutes after I do something else!
How can you expect me to try and disconnect when your channel has so many other interesting looking videos?!
:D Hahah Thanks for the tips. Keep up the great work!
OH THE IRONY AT THE END!
But...
I don't have friends.....
*Curls up with all technology possible and closes blinds*
A WHOLE HOUR WITHOUT MY LAPTOP AND NOW YOU'RE SAYING I SHOULD *GO OUTSIDE*?! Okay, usually I follow your advice and think it's good but . . . OUTSIDE IS SCARY
WHAT IS THIS OUTSIDE???? I heard its so colorful
I'm watching this at night
I was just going on another website when she just said
"Yoohoo! Girl talking on the screen!"
this is so ironic, they tell u 2 keep away from technology, yet they tell u to tweet them and email them
do a video on eating disorders please
Yes please do
Ah! You should never leave your sonic screwdriver behind. EVER!
You have an amazing voice!
Thank you!
I have a serious problem I'm on the internet AT LEAST 10 hours a day when I'm not at school
How are you six years later buddy?
WOO SAN ANTONIO!!
you see... I have a very special bond with my technology so I don't know how to stay away
WellCast is so humorus XD so cool
I am sorry but this "outside" you speak of doesn't exist when you get far to attached to your device.
"Go outside"
Covid 19:Ahem.
what is this "out-side" you talk of?
Apparently there's this new mmo called real life out
epiclazer42 its really boring, like theres no swords or anything, and when you get hurt you feel real pain, there is no way to upgrade things like hp bars , because there is none, and also you can die pretty easily like being hited by a lighting c'mon like my character took only 20 damage from a lighting bolt, and there is no way you can kill noobs because you get arrested, i dont recommend this rpg
RockyWhiteDog DovakinLolCat Thanks for the review man, I was gonna try it out 'cause I've heard there's supposed to be nice graphics, but after reading your description I know to stay away from that game!
If you think you'll be traveling via TARDIS any time soon, maybe you should keep it with you. ;)
