Great resto. Looks pretty schmick. The detailing has been tastefully done.
Thank you Andy, I'd hoped I hadn't gone overboard with it.
Nice resto, thank you for sharing this my friend😎👍🏻
No worries and thank you Asko!
Great restoration, details and paint job Peter. Best wishes👍
Thank You Paul.
Nicely done PB. The Renault looks so much better.
Hi Scott, thank you!
Nice work Pete looks amazing well done 👍
Thank You Adrian. Looking at it now I think I should have plumbed for a new glass piece, and still may do.
very nice Pete, not seen that casting before the vents do look pretty cool well done on that rescue 👍👍👍
Thanks Neil! I like the open vents, seems really simple but I like it.
Bonjour mon ami.
Vous avez fait un excellent travail sur cette voiture française 👍
Thank God for Google translate BK, and thank you!
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👌 👍
Thank you Joe.
Great restoration Pete. You can get mini G clamps (jewellery) to re~attach corgi hubs. Cheers Michael
Thank You Michael, mini g-clamps sounds like a much better idea.
Well done, PB. That's a really nice casting. You can't over-detail these cars.
Thank you Gerry.
A beautiful restoration PB
Thank You Ron!
Looks amazing. There are some great looking Corgi models of this era. I sometimes with I wasn’t so hung up on 1/64 scale but that’s what I’ve always worked with and that’s what I’ve got in my humongous to do pile so I’m having to stick with what I know 😅
Thanks Andrew. The 1/43 are easier to work on that's for sure.
Turned out not to shabby, nice one, have a great weekend coming👍👋 Cheers 🍺🍺🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😎✌👍
Thanks KC, coulda done with a new windscreen piece.
@PBsRetroRestorations my pleasure, Pbs, and understand, sometimes you got to do what you can, buying all these replica parts don't come cheap anymore 😉
Lovely job PB 👍 and subscribers climbing nicely.
Thank you Andy, yes I'll be retiring soon and living off my income as an internationally beloved youtuber in no time at all 🤣🤣😔
'Flaw-reed' would be the closest to correct pronunciation, je pense! Always like these Renaults for some reason - and the Simca 1000 Coupé Corgi did later. Nicely detailed casting with the engine vents in the rear wings and the centre-brace for the suspension. Quite a leap forward to go with the additional plastics. Nice red! Nice detailing!
Thank You, I recall you pronouncing it correctly for me in the Tavern, and I tried to remember 😔😂
Excellent restoration Peter, looking good, with the hubs when you put them back lightly twist the hub in your fingers on the end of the axle, and you should feel it locate on the spline then you can apply pressure and it should push on a lot easier. All the best Martin
Thank you Martin, and thank you for the tip. You don't think it's better just to belt the life out of them? 🤣🤣
beautiful resto peter
Thank you Neil.
Beau petit modèle cette Floride. Beau travail!
Thank You Yannick!
Great result!
Thank you Lee.
Very smart little thing, PB; she looks an absolute treat 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Once youve cracked open the bottom, they're no longer 'original', so I don't see any harm in adding little aesthetic enhancements...... I do. Anyhoo, that's my argument and I'm sticking with it.
I'm now on Plan D (iiia) [version 6] of my quest to find a way of improving the cracked windscreen pieces.......slight success so far but not worth the cost/effort. Just waiting for the next duff one to turn up before I try my latest wizard wheeze 🤓 Some day, I shall achieve success and be world famous in Dereham......
Thank You. The plastic windows tend to be the most expensive spare part to buy, and they tend to be shiz. Good luck with your plans for global success, one day you may be bigger than the Dereham Windmill (I went on Wikipedia, couldn't see you on there)
Great job Peter 👍🏻
Thank You Mark!
@@PBsRetroRestorations you're welcome 😊
So cool restoration work bro
Thank you.
Les Magnifique Les Floride. A lot of Les's here. and it's a Corgi not a Les ney. Great job PB. Cheers JV
Or Les Patterson lol, Thanks JV.
Looks brilliant Peter,I think red suits this car well, well done mate
Lol Don't we all Laz? It's like turning up to a party in the same dress as your friend. I should've done it blue 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 we used different shades of red so I think we're ok 😆 🤣
In after everyone else:
looks great, the lighter red looks much better than the overpainted hue. :) the rear screen looks like someone tried to break it with a scissors. good thing they eventually stopped... considering the abuse I was amazed the tyres were still there. guess you're right, and they are replacements.
I wondered if someone was trying to make bullet holes in the glass. Thanks Lothar.
Great video PB. did U get gear puller from my Temu lol. Cheers Graham
Thanks Graham, and lol no I got it from the last Model Kit Expo I went to. But I'm quite sure you could get them from the Temu. They've got everything else it seems.
@@PBsRetroRestorations lol I got two different type in my cart. Trying to decide which one to buy. Cheers Graham
So what's this challenge got in June at toothpicks or something? I keep hearing about it but no details cheers Graham
It's for my Channel's 4th Birthday group build. Build a Corvette. Any Corvette. Out of Anything. Go in the draw to win a Corgi Corvette.
