Hello! I recently purchased a 7700XT Steel Legend and installed it in a Tower 300, but it seems that the heatpipes on this card do not cool properly when perpendicular to the ground. In fact, the temperature of the card (not hotspot) increased from 65 degrees to 80 degrees. Fortunately, a stand for horizontal installation is available as an option, so I was fine. Thank you for the review. Pls include also , Total Board Power & Hotspot Temperature in your metrics. By stopping your video noticed it goes up quite high(86C)...which is not good if card having 3 fan cooling.... pls do not use " auto undervolt" feature as this is next to nothing. Good undervolt(with testing) can shave off 50-150mV(or more) and lower power consumption & temps ALOT. It helps sometimes to raise Powerlimit as well(to avoid crashes)...

As for auto-undervolt, I try to keep it as I want the content to be newbie-friendly. There is manual UV there but I just don't want to set high expectations because silicon lottery might cause disappointment. 👍

I have the Phantom Gaming version. It's a very powerful card highly underrated. It might have hotspot issues though. The cooler is great never seen higher than 62c but the junction temps can get over 90c forcing a shutdown of my entire PC mid-game in some games. I suspect it as a poor thermal paste job like what was happening with the 7900XTX. I'm not using a great HDMI cable so that could be it as well. I have a new rated cable arriving tomorrow and I should know for sure. I should not have to re-paste this that's Asrock's job. I've seen my TBP as high as 424w and it's always over 300w.
ASRock 800w PSU on their specs however you can probably try running it with a 750w PSU. If you do get any form of instability, you may need to swap your PSU out. 👍

Honestly, I think ASRock is just being conservative with their numbers. Unfortunately we haven't tested the Pure model, but my recommendation would be to stick with manufacturers spec in case you need to claim warranty. So yeah, might have to pick the Sapphire on that one, bro. 👍

GPU is factory overclocked hence why higher PSU requirements compared to reference model. Those requirements are there because of power fluctuations or spikes which can damage other components.. I would suggest you upgrade the PSU as well, there are decent ones that are cheap like this ($89) - amzn.to/3ROYBhk 👍
Could you let me know why the game is pushing a lot higher than 2600mhz, while you set the max freq to be 2600mhz? It seems Amd andrelian is ignoing your setting?
Yeah, I think it's an unusual behavior. I think with the undervolt, it decreased the GPU power/heat demand and therefore gave the GPU some headroom to push more mhz.
Those are solid options. For us, what matters is price and warranty. The rest of the other factors would just be personal preference (i.e. aesthetics). Which is the cheapest amongst the lot?

Well yes, bottlenecks work this way.. it's usually one or the other.. So, if your GPU is not strong enough, then it becomes the bottleneck.. if you put a powerful GPU like a 4090 in it, then the CPU becomes the bottleneck. There's no such thing as a system without a bottleneck. I hope that makes sense 👍
Technically you should be able to run that without issues (depending on PSU quality). ASRock recommends to use 800watts PSU, whilst other RX 7800 XTs just require 700watts. I suspect ASRock is just being conservative and probably wouldn't want to honor warranty if you tell them that you're only using 750watts.

You can leave fanspeed on auto and it'll be fine.

Temperature with manual undervolt -> the fan speed 30% + -> that makes the temp difference I guess. So, auto undervolt way to go, more quiet.

I think I've shown it in the video, it was the voltage which I've touched and set custom fan curve (you can leave fan curve to stock if you prefer).

RX 6900 XT is superior in terms of raw performance. RX 7800 XT is more efficient.
