That`s one of the main reasons why I love your channel. You are respectful. I saw a vid the other day where a vlogger started on a guy in Walking Street who tried to avoid his camera, he took the p...s out of him, got him angry then filmed him getting angry, told him he was going straight on youtube and caused a fight which he ran away from. I have my favourite channels for Thailand. Yours of course, Buzzin and Land of smiles (hope he makes a comeback) So Thank you Peter for being a civilised and respectful youtuber.

I stayed there in 2019 because it's so close to the start line of the Pattaya Marathon. I was surprised at how good the breakfast was. Sailor Bar opposite is great. Location is perfect. Staff members and policies were very guest friendly and protective of customers. Room was nice, without being overly luxurious. I'd definitely stay there again.
Apologies, it was Flipper Lodge where I stayed. I haven't stayed at Flipper House.
Hi Peter, your hotel doesn't look too bad at all for 800 Thai Baht per night. A little trick I learned was to put a business card in the electric slot by the door that way the air con stays on and you can charge your devices. Thanks for sharing Peter and enjoy Pattaya.
That trick used to work a lot more but these days, the key fobs re tagged to that won’t work I’m afraid

I stayed at the Flipper house in early 2019. I booked a large room on Agoda a month ahead of time. Front desk put me in a small room. I was tired from traveling and did not feel like arguing with anybody. I was there for two nights and moved on to the LK Metropole. I would not stay there again. The breakfast was below average, but I did like the pool. I enjoy the hotel review videos, keep them coming.

Hi Peter thanks for your review & all your videos while I'm at it mate. I visit Pattaya & I stay at Flipper House, this hotel has been my go too for last 6 years. I get a suite for about $60 Oz dollars depending our exchange. That size is roomy. The staff are tops, breakfast till midday, centrally located, fab. I rate this hotel high. I'm back next visit next April... let's gooo. Thanks again Pete I appreciate your videos 👍👋

Hi. Stopped there twice. Very impressed.
The house certainly more modern, in general, but simply can't beat the sea views from the lodge's swimming pool. Absolutely brilliant.
Brings back memories, that place hasn't changed a bit since it was built about 15 years ago when I stayed there, still stay there sometimes but hotels have moved on

They told me they were full next month as its High season so if you're thinking about it I would get on and do it

Stayed here Jan 2019 my second last visit in Pattaya worth it, I say the opposite breakfast was best and a big plus they serve till 12 am
Looks the same as where i stay when in Pattaya.... i stay at Srithong Place apartment block on the Klang, by Leng Kee and Soi Buakhao. And last time i was there it was also 800 Bhat a night. Happily they had wardrobes and the safe was inside......
Peter, loving the videos, shorter and more often than once a week, good to see the hotel rooms and a look around Patts on your bike, i check everyday to see what you've uploaded, keep up the good work buddy!
Don't forget I do a stream now on a Sunday night the stories come out on a Saturday and I'll try and get two to three videos up in the week while I'm here
Morning Peter stayed in Flipper house in 2000 room was average,looks like they have renovated the hotel and rooms,I had a room overlooking soi7,no balcony just a window,well it had a balcony I climbed out onto one night with a few cold ones, take care
Flipper House was the place I stayed on my 1st and 2nd visit to Pattaya, when Soi 7 was a busy soi, staff were very nice, security also good, but the room and balcony were too small for me so I moved on, stayed in a few other places, but now I stay in in Soi Lengkee every visit...3 month stay coming up!
Lots of hotels fully booked for the next couple of months. Good sign. I'm there Dec and looks like business is picking up again nicely.

I usually stay in flipper Lodge..but have stayed in flipper house many times...will be back next Christmas
This is one of my favourite hotels. Rooftop pool early morning is the best hangover cure
I have often wondered how utubers do some of the filming they get away with. Perhaps you need some of those spy glasses 😁. Great to see you keeping us up to date. Room you have is fit for purpose and thats all you need. I have stayed in rooms with just a wall of aircon units outside and no view. It doesnt matter because I would rather have more baht for doing stuff. Occasionally we will get junior suites just because its a nice treat having a separate lounge with a big screen. Have you done any expat interciews yet?

You are right it is worth 800 but not 1200. Good luck on soi bukhao it is a nice area as well.

Would you consider using Airbnb. For longer term rentals it would be worth it. I don't like thin walls. You mentioned you heard next door bringing a girl home on Sunday. Nothing worse than hearing them playing connect four while trying to sleep.
I'm not a great fan of them myself I prefer hotel rooms
If your staying long term, I would recommend renting a condo, choose the area you want to stay and look around, also there’s Facebook marketplace, far cheaper than Airbnb!
9/10 Airbnb is a dissapointment

What about you, did you pay a lot (compared to previous trips)? I live in Norway, and here most things are expensive (also plane tickets) 🙂

That room was basic but clean.
Jug and tea or coffee making facilities is a big plus for me.
Shower curtain to stop water going all over the floor another big plus.
How close is it yo the heart of the entertainment center?? Walking street etc??

Yes
Sling the camera over your shoulder with the camera behind your elbow and keep it on. Then if you want to film the pool area pull out your phone and turn to your side and pretend you’re looking into the phone. The pool is to your side and your slung camera is recording at the same time and you look like you’re not filming as the camera is slung over the shoulder on hanging on your side.
Just spent 2 weeks for 14th time great hotel.
I was going to stay in this hotel, I had a look at the rooms but when they showed me they used a physical Key instead of a modern KeyCard I decided not to. What a shame as it ticked all the boxes, location, price, quality.
Sorry, but I can't believe you actually turned down a great Hotel which is also cheap because you didn't like the key! That is really extreme.

I’ve stayed here….Flipper Lodge much better…..in fact the very first hotel I stayed in Thailand….been over 85 times since.
May I ask what visa you have to stay 7 months please

You would need a special visa like an education visa, although it would be easier to do a couple of border hops if you just wanted 7 months

Is Sailor bar still there not bad snap. Also is the Hungry Hippo still open in Lk Metro. Amazing place to eat. Great UK food well prices and lighting fast service
Not sure about the Hungry Hippo but I had a meal in the Sailor bar on Soi 8 yesterday
Hippo boss couple of years back said he was going back to Wales
I went in the sailor bar a few times last month. Try to go when it`s not busy. It is very under staffed and you have to wait a long time for your food. Otherwise its a great place.

Put it this way…..we did book it once about 10 years back…..looked great until my 6 year old son pulled a a few pills out of the bedside table draw straight after check in, luckily showed us instead of eating these “sweeties”…….told management…they couldn’t give a shit….and we had a top suite, not a cheapo room……checked straight out…..I rest my case.
Surely you're not blaming the hotel for that the guy who left those pills could have checked into any hotel and done the same how could the hotel avoid this? And what did you expect the hotel to do when you told them of course they're going to keep it quiet they're not going to call in intelligence or the police are they?

Why would you want to spend your valuable holiday time around Pattaya instead of much lovelier Thai destinations such as Phuket or Ko Samui?
